If you're in Taiwan for a concert at Taipei Dome this is definitely your stay. It's just a 5 mins walk from the concert venue. It's actually within the Song Shan cultural park so there's also many exhibitions and weekend flea markets to explore around there. Convenience stores within the vicinity and many nice eateries too. For night owls, the 24 hrs Eslite bookstore is just next door. The room is also spacious and clean. The hotel staff upon realizing that I was there for a concert immediately offered me a room with the view of the Taipei Dome.

Whenever we get the chance, I try to take my family on trips while we can still gather together. This time, we visited Yangmingshan and Beitou, and it was actually my first time truly staying in Beitou. Before, most of my visits here were for work, like setting up a stall at the Beitou Market, always a quick in-and-out. But I've always heard great things about Beitou's hot spring hotels, and my mother often mentioned this place, so I arranged this short trip for the weekend. We stayed at Hotel Royal Beitou, and it was my first time experiencing the 'Hotel Royal' brand. In the past, I'd only dined at their properties in Taitung and Jiaoxi, and my impression of the brand has always been one of quality and meticulous service. After actually staying there, it certainly lived up to its reputation. From the facilities to the service, you could feel their attention to detail. The activities arranged by the hotel, in particular, were quite different from typical hot spring hotels – things like escape rooms, yoga classes, and night tours made the stay more than just a place to sleep for a night. The rooftop hot spring bath, though not huge, had a very comfortable atmosphere. It's a shame you couldn't see much of the scenery at night; otherwise, it would have been even better. Since we love hot springs, we really pay attention to the amenities and toiletries. The lounge here offers iced tea and ice cream, and the toiletries in the bathing area are top-notch, even including scalp and facial care products. Also, the room used a 'Sleeptofu' mattress and pillows, which were incredibly comfortable – easily one of the best night's sleep I've had recently. The only minor downside was that parking fees were an additional cost. For accommodation priced close to ten thousand per night, having to pay extra for parking feels a bit disappointing.

Terribly convenient to everywhere with connection to 捷運、臺鐵 & 高鐵 station. There’s also a direct bus from/to Taoyuan international airport which takes ~80 minutes. Eating / shopping is also convenient as it’s linked to shopping malls. Room is spacious & clean, only drawback is no supply of toothbrush & toothpaste. Service is good. When checkin, staff asked if we brought toothbrush & toothpaste so that it wouldn’t be a surprise to us. 6 bottles of water are provided everyday which is great. However, free bar only has 1 coke, 1 sprite & 1 apple juice and no refills in our 4 nights’ stay.

The internet in the room we were originally going to stay in was broken, so we couldn't watch TV. We were notified by phone before check-in and were told that there was only one accessible room left, which only had one bathtub. I agreed to change the room type at the time, but the service staff said that we could decide on the spot whether to change back to the original room type with two bathtubs. After discussing with my family, we decided to choose a room with two bathtubs because six people would have to take turns taking a hot spring bath, which would be time-consuming. So we immediately changed back to the original room type when we checked in and were successfully checked in. But after checking in, I found that in addition to the internet, this room type had other problems. The floor was hardly cleaned and was covered with sand. The pillows were moldy. The facilities were also quite old. The bathroom door was difficult to close. For some reason, the bathroom had a drain hole that was sealed, so water accumulated on the floor after taking a shower. I stayed here once before and thought it was good, so I arranged to stay here again, but the quality this time was really disappointing😿

The hotel is very clean , no dusts, all my requests were favored, i love the free crackers and coffee is unlimted and best coffee flavors, located very close to everything like St Christopher Church where we had ash wednesday, 711, family mart, since i was craving for a Filipino food, there is a Filipino restaurant nearby , i love the bath tub too , staff are very warm and friendly especially the receptionist guy wearing glasses , he was so patient in trying to understand what i was asking, overall the hotel is highly recommended and i will surely return to Taiwan which i consider the most beautiful place in asia for me❤️
