"Best hostel I’ve stayed at. Super comfy beds and large space. Everything was great! Curtains would’ve been nice. Laundry was good but 2 of the dryers were broken so it took a few hours to do my laundry cos there were a lot of people waiting. But it was only €4 for wash then €4 for dry! They had great social events so it was easy to meet people + to pop in and out of the laundry room while you’re waiting. Location was right by the station. Would definitely stay again!!! The tiny “free pasta” portionswith a drink is a bit silly, I tried to order a water/ juice/ tea and the bartender was like that is not a drink… (which it arguably is)"

"Honestly, I didn't expect to find such a great hotel at this price, and it even included breakfast – incredible value for money!
The location was the absolute best part. It's only a five or six-minute walk from the train station, which was a huge relief when traveling with heavy luggage – so convenient for anyone on the go! Staying off the main island meant better prices and a quieter, more comfortable experience without the crowds.
The breakfast far exceeded my expectations. There was a wide variety of food, they refilled dishes quickly, and everything tasted great – I was completely satisfied. The room decor was simple and practical, clean, and tidy, making for a very comfortable two-night stay. I have to praise the hot water system; it heated up fast and the temperature was stable, making for a fantastic shower experience.
If you're looking to save money, save effort, and enjoy a comfortable stay in Venice, this place is definitely the right choice!"

"We were three adults staying in a triple room with three single beds, and we all slept very well. There's a coin-operated laundry room right outside our door. Plenty of Chinese restaurants are nearby, and it's only a 10-minute walk to the train station. The location is super convenient. "The hotel is very close to the train station, which makes getting to and from Venice Island very convenient. The only downside is that the facilities are a bit old, and the bed is too soft. They only change the sheets, and the remaining cups are fixed, which I found a bit unacceptable. For the duvet, they just put a new sheet on top. The owner seems to be Chinese, and all the staff are Chinese. The room's soundproofing is terrible; the cleaning staff are too loud in the mornings and at noon, making it hard to sleep. I hope they can improve this. The only positive is that the breakfast is excellent! And considering the room rate, it's already one of the lowest in the area."

"Overall, I'm very satisfied! The only minor issue is that the bus from the city's train station to the hotel stops running at 9 PM, which is quite early. A taxi wasn't too expensive, costing 15 Euros.
However, there's a convenient direct bus service between the main island and the train station. You can buy bus tickets at the hotel front desk; I recommend buying a couple extra. Otherwise, it can be a hassle if the ticket machines in the city are broken or there are long queues.
Breakfast was quite good, but the windows couldn't be opened, so I kept seeing dust and lint floating around in the room. This seems to be a common problem with hotels where you can't open the windows."

"The hotel is very well located, with a bus stop just a 3 minute walk away and the train station about 8 minutes walk. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
The hotel is clean, and the reception staff are friendly and helpful. The room itself was decent; however, the shower stall was extremely small and quite difficult to move around in. I’m not sure if this was specific to my room or typical across the hotel.
Breakfast was simple but satisfactory. As the breakfast area is relatively small, guests are asked to choose a time slot, usually around 40 minutes which is generally enough time to eat comfortably."

"This hotel is right off the exit to Venice. It has excellent underground parking and clean rooms. The breakfast, for Italy, is just okay – not much variety. It's a 3-minute walk to the water bus, and route number 2 (which goes along the Grand Canal to St. Mark's Square in one direction, and around the island from the lagoon side to St. Mark's Square in the other) is super convenient."

"The room was a bit small. It's located on the new island, about a 10-20 minute walk to get to the main part of Venice and other major attractions, which includes going up and down bridges. Luckily, the paths on the new island are very smooth with no steps, making it easy to pull luggage. The hotel is popular and clean. Overall, I think it's probably more convenient than staying on the main island and lugging your bags around, and it's much closer than staying in the city center."

"Becarefull ! Price is not tally as per advertised! They advertised in trip.com writing we just pay 3 Euro at property, but when we arrived the hotel , they want collect with us 4 Euro per person for tourist tax which is same price with what they advertised.we was trying raise this issue to them and say them the trip.com app as proof , they are just don’t care , ignoring and they say you can just raise refund or discuss with trip.com.

Guest UserLocation is everything. Great communication. Easy to find. Several steps up and down a bridge to carry luggage over. Helpful to find access to the water bus. (Public transportation) instead of water taxies (Private transportation). Arranged taxi to get to the airport for departure. Good buffet breakfast. Had room ready for us 2 hour before check in. Comfortable king size beds. Only challenge was small shower.
This was our last two days of a 23 day trip. Venice was unbelievable.

The hotel is very close to the station, just across the street. The rooms are clean and tidy. It's very convenient to take the train to the main island. There's a Chinese supermarket opposite the hotel, which is handy for buying water and other things cheaply. You can pay directly using the owner's WeChat Pay or Alipay.

We love the hotel room, it’s so spacious, clean and beautiful 😍 However, the location is not the best, it’s 18 minutes walk from the train station and still have to take another train ( 2 stops) to Venice. Initially we thought the hotel will provide free shuttle service, but we were only told that our package is not included with the shuttle service and need to pay 20 euro per person for one way in order to use the shuttle service.
This is a very small villa and I think they are short of staff to work? There’s only one receptionist when we first arrived, and when he directed us to the wrong room, he tapped the door and someone was inside??? He later then told us it’s a wrong room. When we came back at night, there are no receptionist at the counter ( we waited for 5-10 mins and rang the counter bell).
We were so surprised that the cleaner that cleaned our room did not top up water for us, and didn’t even replace new glasses/ wash our glasses? The used glasses were remained on the same spots.
Overall I think we mainly enjoyed the room, but mainly not there for service or if you need to travel out to Venice.

AlKrtOverall, we really liked the Mercure Venezia Marghera. The cleanliness was excellent, and the hotel felt very well-maintained. The staff were always friendly and helpful, and the service was generally good.
The location is a bit average, as the hotel isn't directly in the city center but rather a little outside. However, there's a good bus connection to Venice. You can get public transport tickets at the front desk.
The amenities are perfectly adequate for a pleasant stay. The breakfast was decent – a standard selection, but completely sufficient to start the day well.
All in all, it's a recommendable hotel for anyone looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay with good connections to Venice.

A good place to stay in Venice cheaply. The location is pretty well connected and i strongly recommend taking an independent bus, rather than their shuttle bus service - they drop you off by a busy road and the walk to Venice is not much shorter than the 20min one that you take from the Hotel to a bus stop (and it’s cheaper).
I found it very disappointing that my message I sent 2-3 days before my stay with questions, was never read or answered. The room has all needed amenities, and is overall comfortable, however the only table is outdoors. The on-site shop is convenient, with prices not too racked up, so very reliable. However the Hotel restaurant is disappointing. We ordered a pizza and a kids menu burger and fries - the pizza was very average, but the burger was actually just the meat patty and fries?? While it was clearly called a burger on the menu. Additionally, it was neither cheap, or fast service.
I’d say this is a good place to stay for a short trip to Venice, especially on the budget, but would not recommend using their extra amenities such as the restaurant or bus.

Guest UserI stayed here for the 3 nights I’ve visited for with my spouse and we enjoyed our stay here as it was located close to where we had access to bus routes as well as Venice overall clean and affordable hotel, only down side was receptionists staff were not as helpful e.g. i asked for salt one night at receptionist and i got no response then he was on a call then after he knew i was still waiting and decide to take a look only to say there’s none left until i found it myself few other things did occur similar to this. Others than this it’s good value for money would visit again

ChuWLA&O Venezia is located ~10 minutes from the train station and also ~5 minutes from the bus stop which takes you to the main island.
Large building with a large working space and bar and offers free baggage storage which is nice of them.
The bed is comfortable and big and the room is clean with air-con.
The bed also has a small rack to place items and has both a charger and wall plug. However, the built-in charger seems out of date as it doesnt seem to have tje voltage to charge smartphones. So the wall plug is the only charging appliance.
The toilet is clean and the shower comes with body wash + shampoo.
However, it seems that there is a leak somewhere for the flooring. The whole toilet becomes wet after a shower and there is also a slight unpleasant smell.

Guest UserThe room was big and spacious; there was a double bed and a set of twin beds. There were two small balconies from which you could see the national library. The toilet was ok, the shower would flood and there was a wooden beam kinda hanging loose. Unfortunately, the room is not soundproof and you can hear the noise from the upstairs and neighbouring rooms (especially the toilet noises).

The hotel is a good hotel with a living room, bed and mattress with very comfortable couchs, large and spacious bathroom, and a tent used in the bathroom instead of a glass wall/box that would be more presentable.
Improved breakfast, little choice and variety...and lack of electric toast and bread to make a toast.
