"Friendly Staff and Great Tips for Visiting Venice We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Centrale. What really made the experience special was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They kindly explained to us the easiest way to visit Venice without driving into the city. Instead of driving and paying expensive parking fees in Venice (which can be at least €25 or more), they suggested taking Bus 7 or 7E, which goes directly to Venice with the last stop near the main area. The journey only takes about 20 minutes, making it very convenient. They also recommended a nearby parking area costing around €12, which saved us quite a bit. The hotel itself is comfortable and practical. The room was a good size with everything we needed, including a nice hot shower after a long day of travel. Breakfast was good, and the hotel seems quite popular. There is also a little shop just next door so you can just buy whatever that you need. The surrounding town is simple, but the hotel’s location is very convenient for visiting Venice. We also appreciated that dogs are allowed, which made traveling with our pet much easier. Overall, the friendly service and helpful local advice made a big difference to our stay."

"The location is quite convenient, about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station, and there are bus stops nearby. There's no kettle, and all drinks in the mini-fridge, including a 500ml bottle of mineral water, cost 1.5 euros. The tray only has two glass cups, with no free coffee or tea for brewing. Even though I never use them, their absence makes the hotel seem cheap. The only saving grace was that the restaurant staff downstairs were very nice and willing to fill my thermos with hot water. There was only toilet paper, no facial tissues. This is the stingiest four-star hotel I've ever stayed in. I had already paid the full room rate, but upon check-in, they insisted on scanning my passport and credit card together for their records. Luckily, I had covered my security code beforehand. I don't understand why this rundown place needed to keep a credit card on file, probably for those overpriced drinks in the fridge? I'd been traveling for ten days, and all other hotels only required an additional city tax payment. This old-fashioned place was the only one that insisted on a credit card deposit."

"We absolutely loved it here. We were in one of the older rooms and loved the traditional Venice feel with the draped curtains. The bed was so comfortable- needed after a long day of walking. The linen was crisp, white and good quality. The rooms are thoughtful with water, a fridge, and lovely soap etc. They are huge rooms - but they are very comfortable. The service was fantastic. Everyone very friendly and helpful, but not overly polished which we don’t enjoy - still has heart and soul. Will definitely recommend. Location is quiet - but right by grand canal and Main Street. Everything you want and need."

"Great location and a very well kept, clean and tidy place. The AC and hot water worked perfectly fine. Only 15 minutes from bus station. They also offer a shuttle service to Venice at a very reasonable price. The only disappointment was closed pool that they said would open end of June and WiFi connection was a bit slow. Other than that everything was fine. If you want a relaxed family holidays Hu Venezia is perfect place for you."

"The hotel is very well located, with a bus stop just a 3 minute walk away and the train station about 8 minutes walk. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel is clean, and the reception staff are friendly and helpful. The room itself was decent; however, the shower stall was extremely small and quite difficult to move around in. I’m not sure if this was specific to my room or typical across the hotel. Breakfast was simple but satisfactory. As the breakfast area is relatively small, guests are asked to choose a time slot, usually around 40 minutes which is generally enough time to eat comfortably."

"The room was quite spacious and conveniently located right by the roundabout. The parking lot seemed to be free, probably because it's off-season. It's a great spot for those traveling by car. We took a bus directly to the island, and on the way back, a train to the mainland, where there were plenty of Chinese restaurants. After dinner, it was a pleasant 30-minute stroll back to the hotel. It was a perfect trip, Venice is beautiful and wasn't smelly at all. Fantastic. We skipped breakfast as we had an early start the next day to return the car and catch our flight. A perfect end to our ten-day journey."

JJJJGAn amazing hotel with great location and wonderful service!! A true gem situated down an alley of one of the famous shopping streets in Venice. Outstanding location: St. Mark’s square, Grand Canal, Bridge of Sigh’s, all these are key attractions which just within walking distance. More importantly easy access to vaporetto stops which can lead to so many other places in Venice, it’s extremely convenient! Staff are helpful, friendly, attentive and offering to help us on various matters. Excellent service! Rooms are clean, well decorated with traditional Venetian features, nice flowery design. The room is big and offering very nice and peaceful garden views. A great continental breakfast was at the courtyard garden, the atmosphere was so relaxed and enjoyed. It was just the right thing and right place to get a day started. Great value, simply one of my favorites of all time.

The service is also impeccable; the personalized butler service is excellent, with staff escorting you to your room and handling your luggage. The rooms are generously sized, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. The hotel itself is a beautifully renovated mansion. Its grand staircase offers wonderful photo opportunities, and from the rooftop, you can enjoy the refreshing Adriatic breeze while watching a stunning Venetian sunset. A crucial tip for arrival: absolutely do not follow Google Maps! Do not disembark the water bus too early. Instead, take it all the way to 'G-station' (you might need to check previous reviews for the exact name). From there, the hotel is just a very short walk away.

MM255516****The facility is old but all well functional. Anyways this building can be traced back to year 1879. All the staff are very friendly. They have upgraded our room because of honeymoon, really appreciate that. The interior decoration is very vintage and classic. The breakfast is really out of our expectation. Overall a very cost effective choice! Also, the location is great and it is quite near to the train station, no need to take your luggage to cross the bridges! Overall highly recommend for its cost effective!

YYunyoudebaobaoThis hotel is in the quiet Lido~ If you exit Venice Santa Lucia Train Station, you need to take the Line 5.1 water bus (45-50 minutes) to Lido Station. It takes 17-20 minutes to walk from Lido S.M.E Station. If you have a lot of luggage, such as (2 pieces/more than 2 pieces), it is recommended to call a car directly. It is quite tiring to walk and push the suitcase. The hotel room I was given this time was very large, enough for 4 people~ I booked a double bed room for 1-2 people online (at that time, a friend was still waiting to decide whether to join)~ In the end, my friend was not able to join~ But the room the hotel gave me had 3 beds (1 double bed + 2 single beds) which was a bit unexpected~ It is more suitable for family travel. The hotel environment is very good~ Facing the sea and spring flowers blooming. There is a courtyard, lawn and chairs at the door of the room for rest ~ a strong seaside villa holiday style ~ Hotel facilities: Although the room is large: But I didn't see any slippers. Of course, you have to get water from the minibar ~ and of course you have to buy it yourself ~ This is similar in European hotels. It's within the expected situation. For breakfast - the overall difference between hotels in Europe with a price range of 1-1.5k/night is not big: mainly Western style - bread, milk, juice, eggs, ham, cheese, coffee... Chinese stomachs have to overcome themselves. Travel is also quite convenient. If you need to go to the main island or other islands, walk 1.1 kilometers to Lido Station to take the water bus.

DDonena WilliamsThis hotel is obviously Old however it is comfortable. I can’t compare it to any of the other hotels there as I haven’t stayed at the others but I will say it has no lift and I was a little concerned how we would get out in the fire. The hallways are long and go round and round like a rabbits Warren. My overall stay was pleasant and the best thing about it was the awesome breakfast. If you do decide to stay ask for the front terrace rooms I believe they’re not so claustrophobic.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent. just beside Venezia Santa Lucia station, which made it very convenient for travel. Check-in was smooth, and they offered complimentary luggage storage, which was a nice touch. I didn’t get to try the included breakfast since I had to leave early for my packed itinerary. However, the elevator doesn’t reach the top floor where our room was, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Unfortunately, both my brother and I got bed bug bites during our stay, which was very disappointing. The place has a great location, but cleanliness and maintenance really need improvement.

GGuest UserLocated in near the Rialto Bridge and within walking distance of Saint Marcos Square it’s perfect for a budget conscious traveller. The bedroom was spacious and clean. I was there during carnival and my only complaint was the noise front the drinks at night but this isn’t something g the hotel can fix. Breakfast buffet was sumptuous but needed a little more variety for my taste.
