It's in a relatively remote location, but the environment is close to the sea, so it's recommended for those traveling by car as it's convenient for getting around.
Environment: The hotel has several buildings, with a maximum of three units per floor, all near the sea. My room had a balcony, which was very pleasant to look at the sea, the bridge, and the waves on sunny days. Delivery options are limited; the few that do offer delivery require using JD.com.
Service: Adding the front desk on WeChat resulted in a message with information about WiFi, breakfast, and driving routes – a thoughtful and natural service.
Breakfast: It deserves special mention because although the selection was limited, the food was quite good, and I enjoyed it.
Cleanliness: Overall, it was very good and pleasant. There was a minor leak in the sink drain, but it didn't affect the overall rating."

I usually have trouble sleeping in hotels due to my neurasthenia, but the bedding here was superb, and the buckwheat pillow was very comfortable, so I slept really well. I even got to see the sunrise in the morning, right outside my door. After watching it, I had breakfast and went back to my room for another nap – it was so relaxing. Both breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious. Everyone, from the butler to the aunties in the restaurant, was very friendly. My stay here was a perfect experience."

"Coming to Pingtan, this homestay was definitely the biggest surprise of my trip! The moment I opened the door, I was absolutely amazed. The dreamy, creamy-style decor, paired with Roman column designs, felt both gentle and high-quality. The actual room looks exactly like the photos, even more atmospheric in person! ✨
The details in the room really impressed me! The floating fireplace, curved floor-to-ceiling windows, and the ocean-view bathtub by the window—every single element was thoughtfully designed. Nestled in the soft bed, I could take in the entire blue ocean through the large windows. Soaking in the bathtub, accompanied by the sea breeze and sunset outside, all the fatigue from the day just melted away."

"The Pingtan Dongfushan Hotel boasts a prime location with numerous restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and its own parking lot is convenient for those driving. The bedding was clean and hygienic, and the rooms were well-equipped. The female staff at the front desk were warm, patient, and attentive. However, there were some drawbacks. The middle-aged woman in charge of catering at the breakfast restaurant seemed to have received no training in service etiquette or etiquette. She lacked respect and spoke rudely to the elderly customers in their sixties and seventies. While it's acceptable to limit each person to one egg and prohibit leftovers, it's unacceptable to treat these much older people like children. Furthermore, my spouse and I took two eggs, one of which had a sticky egg white and smelled of ammonia. My spouse asked the woman if she could replace it, but she firmly insisted that all the eggs were fresh and couldn't possibly be bad, refusing to give a replacement – she was incredibly stubborn! As out-of-towners, we don't want to argue or quarrel with you. So, taking this opportunity, I hope your hotel will strengthen its training for these outsourced staff, teaching them proper communication skills and service concepts. Otherwise, it will directly affect the hotel's image. I initially thought the hotel was quite good in all aspects, but this lack of professionalism among a few individuals has negatively impacted the hotel. Frankly, I really wanted to give it a 5-star review."

No. 4 of Vacation Homes in Pingtan County"The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, even before my arrival. They tried to contact me in advance, but as a foreign guest, I do not have a Chinese phone number. It would be more convenient if the hotel could ask for guests’ WeChat IDs through the Trip.com messenger instead. Upon arrival, the staff created a WeChat group and added me in, which turned out to be very helpful. Through the group, they assisted with all kinds of questions, such as recommended places to visit, how to rent an e-bike, and where to eat nearby. The responsiveness and service were excellent.
The room was awesome — very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, and the view was fantastic. I also really loved the projector screen in the room, which allowed me to watch WeTV shows and other content. It made relaxing in the room even more enjoyable.
The hotel provides e-bike rentals, which is a great feature. However, I was personally under-geared for the weather. It rained the day before, and the entire day was cloudy with temperatures around 11°C. The sea breeze was very strong and cold, especially when riding the e-bike with the wind blowing directly at you. Proper winter gear is definitely needed in such conditions. If the hotel could provide glove and jacket rentals, that would be an amazing improvement.
In the evening, the staff even brought a small gift to the room. The gift was thoughtful and practical, and I really liked it — it was a warm and welcoming gesture that made the stay feel extra special.
Breakfast was okay. Guests are seated on Level 2, and the meal is served to the table. As I come from a place where some Chinese do not consume beef, it would be great if there were options such as chicken or beef. That said, the beef noodles were actually very good. The Western-style breakfast, however, was quite average."
