"This lodge isn't new, but the rooms are like new. We stayed at another hotel in Chico the night before and this was more generous and comfortable. Everywhere in the room we encountered little boutique touches that made me smile. Spare towels were tucked into a large crockery pot in the corner of the separate bathroom. The shower curtain liner was printed with deer. The coffee pot was a 12 cup Mr. Coffee like I use at home instead of the miniature wannabes. With real mugs provided. Chocolates and wrapped cookies, strategically placed with cloth napkins and dinnerware. Fridge, microwave, and a huge screen TV. Lots of pillows and finally, finally, more outlets and USB ports than we needed. I am impressed."

"This is a classic little roadside motel in Chester, CA. Our room was extremely clean. Lots of towels. Good coffee and plenty of creamer/sugar. Nice clean fridge & microwave. But, the best part was the manager. He was friendly and we really felt welcomed. When the TV in our room broke, he was down immediately and had it replaced in about 30 min. Motel is across the street from a large Holiday Market and restaurants/shops are within walking distance. Very quiet too! Definitely recommend this motel. Five star!!"
