He answered all our questions and even thoughtfully reminded us about important things for our hike up the mountain. Room: The beds were very clean and the room was tidy with excellent lighting! There was heating with adjustable temperature, so we didn't feel cold at all while sleeping. Most importantly, there was a humidifier, which is crucial in Tibet. I was feeling a bit dizzy when I first arrived in Darchen, and even though I booked a bunk bed, the room still had diffused oxygen supply, which was a lifesaver! Dining: The hotel has a restaurant offering rice dishes, stir-fries, and noodles. Transportation: The front desk can arrange car transfers to and from the upper and lower mountain entrances, as well as around town!"

The room has a humidifier and 24-hour oxygen supply, perfect. The only two drawbacks are the hot water: it's inconsistent in temperature and flow, making it impossible to take a hot shower after the trek. Also, the laundry room is in a construction site because the hotel is newly renovated; it's covered in dust, and the drum walls are filthy—I didn't dare use it."

"My stay at the InterContinental Darchen Hotel was truly excellent! The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The hotel thoughtfully provided an oxygen concentrator and massage chair, which was so helpful for us trekking around Mount Kailash. After acclimatizing to altitude sickness and hiking, the massage chair was a great way to relax and relieve the aches and pains. The hotel's support was excellent. The smart toilet seat had a fresh, disposable seat cover every day. The breakfast was delicious and very satisfying. The room was equipped with a smart home system, and the voice control for switches and curtains was incredibly convenient. Although there was a minor issue during my stay, the hotel handled it very promptly and the service was excellent; it was resolved quickly and efficiently. Overall, my stay was extremely pleasant. This is definitely the top choice for accommodation when trekking around Mount Kailash in Darchen. Highly recommended!"
