The room was also very comfortable, with high-quality bedding, and the oxygen supply was a particularly nice touch. "The hotel is located in the Pulan area, with beautiful surroundings and complete facilities. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, equipped with high-definition Internet and high-definition TV. The front desk staff were warm and friendly and upgraded our room for free. We had to go to the mountains in the morning and didn't have time to have breakfast. They thoughtfully prepared a breakfast for us, which made us feel like home. The breakfast was rich and varied, the overall experience was very good, highly recommended to friends and family"

"Location: Very easy to find, right at the foot of the mountain. If you're assigned a room in the front row, you can see Mount Kailash. If you're in the side row, you can catch the sunset! Service: We arrived late at night, and the front desk staff, Xiaoqiang, warmly welcomed us. He answered all our questions and even thoughtfully reminded us about important things for our hike up the mountain. Room: The beds were very clean and the room was tidy with excellent lighting! There was heating with adjustable temperature, so we didn't feel cold at all while sleeping. Most importantly, there was a humidifier, which is crucial in Tibet. I was feeling a bit dizzy when I first arrived in Darchen, and even though I booked a bunk bed, the room still had diffused oxygen supply, which was a lifesaver! Dining: The hotel has a restaurant offering rice dishes, stir-fries, and noodles. Transportation: The front desk can arrange car transfers to and from the upper and lower mountain entrances, as well as around town!"

"I initially thought this was a Marriott hotel, but I found out it wasn't upon arrival. However, the service from the moment I got there was exceptional. Several staff members helped with our luggage, explained everything, and showed us to our room. They answered all our questions. The room was also very spacious, and it was quite comfortable staying at such a high altitude."

"I went on the pilgrimage to Khao Kyi, but their oxygen concentrator was broken and kept stopping, causing me to sleep poorly one night, waking up two or three times. This affected my pilgrimage the next day. Getting a good rest before the pilgrimage is crucial. For almost 500 yuan a night, this is the quality they offered. They sell pilgrimage passes (128 yuan) and completion passes (108 yuan) at the front desk, along with certificates. They catered to a bunch of Indian and Pakistani tourists, neglecting the needs of Chinese tourists. Avoid them!"

"I picked the best hotel on Ctrip and thought it would be my base for 5 nights while circumambulating the mountain. In fact, it really was a base. After I checked in, the customer service knocked on my door twice. The first time, they asked me if I wanted to stay longer, and the second time, they checked out two hours after I checked out and asked me if I needed cleaning. It's amazing that the garbage has been piled up for 5 days! The hardware is all cheap stuff for decoration. There is a smell of floor glue as soon as you enter, and the decoration details are not worth looking at closely! The only thing I am satisfied with is the Xiaodu system and the oxygen concentrator! It is best to wash the fruits before you welcome them, but don’t cut them. There is a big difference between having plastic wrap on the fruits and not washing away the dirt!"

"The hotel was pleasant and the rooms reasonably size. Like a number of hotels I've stayed in China, the smell of sewer permeates the room at Yi Hao Hotel. It's caused by basic plumbing error where the wash basin outlet, floor water outlet and shower floor outlet were not installed with the standard U-bend to retain run-off water to create a reservoir that prevents sewer smell to returning back into the room. Not only is the sewer smell unpleasant, it's unhygienic. See the attached photo (from a different hotel in Tibet). China's national plumbing standards either needs upgrading or needs stricter enforcement. Prevention of sewer smell backflow is a very basic plumbing standard. Overseas guests from the tour group were complaining about the sewer smell. That's no good for China's international reputation. I was in a ground floor (Level 1) room close to the reception. The noise from the reception was loud clearly audible inside my room. Perhaps the hotel should install a door at the start of the corridor to the rooms to reduce noise pollution. Another point - the availability and the abundance of coffee is an essential breakfast element for foreign guests. Yi Hao did not provide coffee during breakfast."

"The hotel is far from the city, so it's very quiet at night. It's also not far from the Holy Lake viewpoint, making it convenient to catch the sunrise and then return for breakfast. After watching the sunrise over Mount Kailash (Gang Rinpoche) and the 'golden mountain' phenomenon, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that dinner was provided, and it was free! We shared a table with other guests, enjoying a meal of six dishes for six people, including some non-spicy options, which was a huge plus. The staff showed us around the hotel facilities upon check-in, making sure the room's heating, oxygen, and humidifier were on beforehand, and even helped with our luggage. Their thoughtfulness for guests was commendable. The hot spring was also excellent; it was freezing outside, but the hot spring inside was very comfortable. What's more, the owner and staff also ate and soaked in the hot springs at the hotel, which shows they truly enjoy their work. I'm looking forward to the completion of the renovations on the second and top floors, as it promises an even better experience for stargazing and viewing the sacred mountains."
