"This fantastic hotel has a perfect location on a lovely sandy family beach which the children loved playing on. The bedrooms are comfortable modern and spotlessly clean - as is the entire hotel. Amazing friendly kind staff who went above and beyond to welcome us when we arrived at the last minute late one night and worked hard to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable throughout. Our daughter celebrated her birthday whilst staying and they even arranged a special birthday cake for her as a surprise and let her choose a movie for their outdoor movie screening that night. Great spa and lovely breakfast buffet too."

"Pure perfection!! Beautiful and modern..every square inch of this property is immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated. The split level suites are breathtaking, with a balcony view right on the most spectacular, clear water beach in Rethymno. Free sun beds and umbrella for guests of Calla, with full food and drink service on the beach, steps away from your suite. The proprietors have thought of everything you’ll need to relax and enjoy your time here. They are one step ahead of you! The pool area is beautiful Restaurants,bars, cafes and shops line either side of you. However it was quiet in the evenings to sleep. It was a slice of heaven, and we can’t wait to return soon."

"Rooms are nice although a bit cramped and balcony not big enough for 2 people to sit comfortably. Apart from that it was excellent. The girl on reception was so nice and asked how we were and if we needed anything every day. Cleaning staff also done an amazing job and breakfast was without doubt the best I’ve had in any hotel."

"Stayed here this week (11th - 18th Aug) doing bed and breakfast. From start to finish the hotel staff have been absolutely excellent, so friendly and helpful! We stayed in a deluxe room where we had 2 twin beds (mother & daughter) a kettle, a coffee machine, fridge, water, robes, slippers, a free safe and a lovely touch was a plate of fruit and little bottle of white wine. Maids cleaned our room every day including fresh towels. We arrived early hours in the morning around 3:30am where we were greeted by two lovely staff members who were so welcoming, gave us a cold drink and one staff member escorted us to our rooms with our cases which was a lovely touch. The hotel pool is a decent size, no sunbed wars, there are entertainers but they are not pushy but are great to get involved with if you like aqua aerobics, water polo, bingo, darts etc. Timothy is so friendly, funny and great fun for the activities! You can get pool towels free of charge (as long as you don’t lose them) and there are also some free inflatables at the side of the pool for guests to use. The breakfast has plenty choice ranging from pastries, salads, hot foods, pancakes, waffles, cereal, breads, yogurt, fruit etc with plenty drink choices too. The food during the day at the bar is also lovely and at a reasonable price. We had access to the spa facilities where the staff there Georgia and Stella are fabulous! They had offers on and did an amazing back, shoulder and neck massage and have other great treatments available. The hotel is ideally located a 2-3 min walk from the beach promenade which has plenty bars and restaurants and is approximately a 15 minute walk into the old town and harbour which is absolutely beautiful. There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops open late alongside an outdoor games room for children with sweet/popcorn stands which runs until after 11pm. We got on the hop off hop on bus tour for €20 each which is a great way to sight see places in Rethmynon and also did the bus trip to Chania Town and Lake Kournas - both are beautiful places. We had a late flight home and were able to store our luggage and use a room to shower free of charge. Again, the staff are so lovely and helpful. We have had a fantastic week and would like to thank Hotel Minos for being part of our perfect holiday."

"We were a group on a tour from May 17th to 24th, 2025: the food was APPALLING!!!!! Nothing but potatoes and pasta, no Cretan specialties, no fish, no yogurt, and for dessert only unripe fruit!!!!! No refills, you had to eat early to be sure of getting some of this cafeteria food!!!!!! It's shameful!!! The rooms were decent and the staff were friendly. The pool was by the road and closed! Avoid this hotel!!!!!"

"As soon as you step into the hotel you get a very calm atmosphere. All the staff members from the front desk to the service at breakfast or at the pool and also at the spa were so friendly! Our room was more on the smaller size but never than less we had a big shower, a balcony and also it was always very clean. The spa treatments were also very relaxing thanks to Zaina (I hope I got the name right) At the beach you have sunbeds for free and there is the bar ammos right at the beach where they serve you some delicious meals! Also there are some nice restaurants around the hotel where you get classic Greek meals. All in one a very nice hotel to relax."

"What an absolute gem - totally unique with the most lovely and accommodating staff , Beautiful place with great furnishings , I slept like a log linens & pillows fantastic . Let me tell you the staff are very attentive and cannot do enough for you. Breakfast is traditional and huge!! Enjoyable 10 minute stroll through shop lined street to the harbour. Amazing location . I would definitely return for a short stay . ( Stayed in Suite 2 / with a well! )"

"My wife and I recently stayed at this very beautiful small hotel. From the first moment we arrived we were shown warm hospitality and friendliness. Our suite was lovely, with very comfortable bed. Wonderful Breakfast, nice and clean sandy Beach. The set up was perfect. Ideal for those who want a place with direct access to the beach and great sights locally. "I booked this hotel for my birthday solo trip POSITIVE: * Room was well lit and modern * Brilliant location for the beaches, restaurants , shops and bars * Kalliopi at reception was so help and friendly. She made check-in so easy and smooth. She gave me a tour of my suite and showed me how to operate the hot tub. She also gave recommendations on restaurants and beaches to visit. * Hot tub was amazing {highlight of the room} * Shower was large and forceful * Bed very comfortable * Housekeeping was excellent * I contacted a balloon company who decorated my room , before I arrived. Which Kalliopi had authorised them to enter my room. * To enter the hotel and your room you had to key in the security code to enter, which is so much better than having a card. * AC unit was good * Electric blinds and shutters NEGATIVE: * Wash basin /sink in the room not in the bathroom * Good size room for solo trip not for 2. Would be cramped. I had the smallest room #6 * The bathroom needs an extractor fan. Very humid after a shower * The room smelt a little damp/ humid at times * No parking at the hotel. Parking is a few minutes walk at the car park son the rosd"
