"Bedroom is fine to the expected standards. Just very disappointed with the breakfast and staff at the restaurant. There is no variety at breakfast, just scrambled eggs stacked like bricks. Need to really improve on breakfast and also train your staff on customer service and always taking note of Guests leaving and making sure next Guest doesnt have to clean and tidy their own table."

"Overall not an outstanding place. I stayed here for one night and I could not wait for the night to be over. Although the linen was clean and comfortable, the room itself was not clean and had a lot of dust. There were spider webs everywhere and even more so under the tables, in the showers, and in the bathroom. This was quite jarring as you’d expect that they should have cleaned the room when replacing the linen etc. "

The 'Explorers Club' not only keep the children busy for hours, but it also teaches them a lot. A very unique initiative by Dream Resorts! I loved all the activities. The lake barge cruise is amazing! Not a lot of places in SA has a lake, hiking trails and wildlife. Service is great! The staff is highly trained, friendly and professional. You can expect service from the moment you enter the premises. The food is out of this world and the restaurant well managed! Highly recommendable"

The neighborhood is quite and safe, internet was fast and reliable. It is worth noting that the hotel doesn't offer any food or drinks other than breakfast, so you better come prepared or go out for dinner. We definitely found our place for future visits. "The lodge was very nice in a secluded location. I was offered an option of rooms to select from. The staff were efficient and friendly. However, many of the basics were missing. Wifi was not available in my room although my room was central. Only about 6 TV channels were available. No A/C in my room. The shower tab had fallen off so I had to shower. They had an issue with their liquor license so no bar service was available. This could be so nice but unfortunately fell short in so many areas."

"Finfoot is a wonderful getaway place filled with serene nature views, wonderful food and friendly staff who will go out of their way to make sure their guests are well taken care of. The only "small issue" is the 20km dirt road leading to the reserve, but even a small car can drive there. Would gladly recommend this reserve to anyone looking for a relaxing time away from home."

"We had the best time at Woodland Gardens and would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway weekend! The owners were so eager and communicative--you could tell this was a passion project and they were truly invested in the quality of our stay. They were super helpful with ideas of what to do for the weekend, and even helped to have the gate unlocked for our 3:15am departure for a sunrise game drive. Speaking of the gate, we felt super safe and enclosed the whole time, even though the location was right off the road. It was the perfect combination of convenience and remote-ness. We would definitely stay here again :)"
