"Sunday Lunch was awful. Soggy Yorkshire puddings, undercooked roast potatoes (if you were unlucky enough to get them). My husband had no roasties or carrots. The veg was floppy. It was as if they microwaved the whole meal. My friend also asked for his missing roast potatoes & pretty much got huffed at. They never once asked how our meal was & our plates were still half full after attempting to eat them. The starters were rubbish too. Then they tried to charge us for 3 courses when we only had 2. We would never go there again!"

"When we booked the hotel we requested a double ground floor room, due to my wife's disability. When the return Email arrived we were given a first floor room but were told there was a lift. When we arrived at the hotel the lift was out of order with no indication when it would be repaired. The lady at the reception desk looked into the problem and gave us a ground floor family room. Problem solved and much appreciated. The staff, meals and comfortable room were excellent and made our 3 day holiday break memorable."

"Log fire in public bar was welcoming. Cold bedroom on arrival mid afternoon. Informed by staff member that central heating was on a timer and it would come on around 7 pm and turn off around 11 pm. No double glazing. I had to use an electric fan heater to cope with the cold. Breakfast staff very helpful, satisfying breakfast good produce and free range eggs. Car parking at rear entrance. Sunday lunch was promptly served with quick service. Close to railway station and the Priory Church."
