Bassiana Hotel és Étterem
"A very nice hotel. The receptionist was very pretty, the hotel facilities were quite good, and it was close to the town center. I would definitely stay here again!"
Spirit Hotel Thermal Spa
"Before I start I feel obliged to quote that I am a loyal customer of this venue for last 10 years. My next stay (4th this year) will happen 17-23 August. We have visited Spirit in any month of the year / during covid / during the major overhaul they did. I am confident that they will be able to keep the standard for the years to come. I allways gave them honest feedback after my stay to let them focus on minor topics I found not at the level. There is allways a space for improvements, but in general I see high consistency over the last 10 years. The layed-back tranquill atmosphere is what I allways enjoy here, with wide selection of welness/beauty/health/relax services. If you prefer to get value for your money - this is the place. Fair alternative for sea-side relax in any type of weather. The staff is a huge asset here, however expect minor complications if you speak English only :-)"
Ensana Thermal Sárvár
"At the reception there are now nice girls and a young man named Gergo, who patiently, kindly and with an invariable smile answered questions, overcoming the language barrier. Huge thanks to him for everything! The hotel is cozy, beautiful, clean. They constantly wash and clean everywhere. The room is very clean. I was amazed that upon arrival they even change the curtain in the bathroom for a new one. The bed is snow-white and comfortable. A kettle, cups, saucers, spoons, slippers - everything is there. Well, and the sad thing is the bathtub. The ventilation did not work at all. The shower head is a real quest. Someone almost tore the holder off the wall, trying to conveniently fix it. The toilet is covered in rusty streaks, the bathtub itself is chipped. The floor was not washed even once during the entire time, although I hung a sign asking for a full cleaning. But these are generally minor things. Otherwise, there are no complaints about the cleaning. The food has become much more modest. The coffee is especially sad, it's very tasteless. There's not even a smell of coffee. Some sadness with side dishes and fish. Of the pickles, there are only cucumbers, sauerkraut in pepper and a mixture of cabbage with something. But the pork, blood sausage and duck are still superbly cooked. It's a pity that the latter was only once. And the saddest thing is that although dinner is scheduled until 9 p.m., at 8 p.m., and sometimes earlier, they started taking away the bain-maries. It was more convenient for me to come after the pool at 8 p.m. for dinner, when there are few people, you can hear quiet music, but such a visit to a restaurant in Sharvaska Ensan is fraught with the fact that there will be little food left. In the morning after 9 a.m. they started taking away the coffee machines, although breakfast is until 10 a.m. Very uncomfortable and unpleasant. It seems that you are being given a clear hint that it is time to leave and not interfere with the waiters who are cleaning up as quickly as possible. As for the waiters, I would like to thank the always attentive and friendly Richard and Attila. SPA. Everything has become really sad here: the composition of the guests has changed dramatically, it is very noisy, there is no feeling of relaxation that is usually present in such hotels. In the thermal pool, people dive, swim on their backs, rinse their hair in the water, spit and, excuse me, clear their noses from the water that got into them as a result of such swims. The staff does not react to this. In the outdoor pool, you can’t get to the nozzles. The same people stand there for hours, making noise like at a bazaar. That is why you had to visit the SPA when everyone leaves for dinner or breakfast. The outdoor thermal pool is too cold for swimming, even when it is +10 outside. 28 degrees is the norm for an indoor swimming pool, but not for the street. I used to swim in this pool even in winter without freezing. Now it's chilly. When I was choosing a hotel to visit, the main argument in favor of the Sarvar Ensana was the outdoor pool and relaxation in the SPA area, like in Danubius among German-Austrian pensioners. Now the hotel resembles a water park with all that entails. And nothing worked out with the treatment. They wrote to me that there was no longer a doctor, that he was visiting, but they did not warn me that he only came on Mondays. Since I arrived on Monday, I did not get to see him because of the road, without finding out right away. And the following Monday there was no point in visiting the doctor. So no mud, no wraps, no exhaust. This is the kind of organization and further confirmation that the hotel is not for relaxation and treatment, but for the rest of noisy guests."
Melea - The Health Concept
"We spent 3 nights in this amazing hotel and from arrival to departure everything was perfect! The room was spacious and well designed and the food was amazing. The yoga classes were great and we spent some time walking around the lake which is very relaxing."
Holdvirág Hotel
"The hotel is situated next to Austrian border (maybe 40 km), exiting the express way M86. I was specifically looking for something in Hungary to stay overnight, and that was the perfect place. Big parking, with free places even in front of the reception. The room was actually more like a small apartment, with a kitchen partially separated from the rest of the room, with all what is necessary inside. So probably you could stay there for a longer period of time and still not feel any discomfort. Very clean, perfectly heated, not too warm, not to cold. The breakfast is surprisingly good, a lot of options, traditional Hungarian and not only. In a few words, I think there is nothing more you could request from a place for one night. Very happy with the choice."
Onyx Luxury
"Very good hotel in a good place. The room was one the best we have stayed as a family. Breakfast was very good , with almost everything. The girls in the reception was friendly and helpful. At the sixth floor at the bar , you can have an afternoon drink. It is really nice "
Park Inn by Radisson Sarvar Resort & Spa
"Did anything about the atmosphere or vibe make an impression?"
R31 Residence
"Relatively new and modern accommodation, linked to the Onyx Garden restaurant which is where breakfast, and dinner for half pension guests, is served. Residence blocks are separated a short distance from the reception/ restaurant building. Rooms are a bit sparsely furnished with no chairs or table in addition to the bed and we would have liked somewhere to hang coats (it was late Autumn). That said the restaurant served an excellent breakfast and a buffet style dinner, staffed by young friendly waiters, and the location is very good, less than 10 minutes walk to the thermal spa or castle, and about 15 minutes to the town centre. Lots of free parking as well."
