Idea Hotel Plus Savona ★★★★

"Warning – choose another hotel! The hotel stated that the rooms had AC, but when we went to adjust the temperature, we were met with a broken control panel with removed buttons (see picture). This is not only inconvenient, but also potentially dangerous. When I pointed this out to the reception immediately after check-in, I was told that “a previous guest must have broken it” and that as a guest you can never adjust the AC yourself – it is only done from the reception. Should you have to call the reception 24/7 to raise or lower the temperature in the heat? I asked them to lower the temperature, but they never did. In addition to this: • The glass shower door was broken and could not be closed completely. • Several wall sockets were broken and loose, which felt dangerous to touch (risk of electric shock or fire). • The lifts felt unstable and shook, do not seem to have been maintained for a long time. • The room was not properly cleaned."

"Great location right by the beach! The hotel is a bit old and the breakfast was average. Soundproofing could be better — we could hear the TV next door, and the neighbors were smoking (not the hotel’s fault). Overall, good stay mainly for the location."

"The hotel is a bit worn and could definitely benefit from a facelift, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The town is charming and made our stay enjoyable. The breakfast, however, was disappointing. The selection was limited, and there were no fresh vegetables or healthier options available, which would have greatly improved the experience. We also ordered the wood-fired pizza, expecting it to be freshly made, but unfortunately it turned out to be a frozen pizza. It did not live up to our expectations."

"A beautiful hotel with only a few rooms and a great location in the middle of the Marina. The rooms are beautiful, if possible, you could make a few renovations (our bathroom door was quite cool) but that didn't disturb us anymore. The parking area is also directly at the hotel and incl. The only thing that really disturbed was the strict smell when we received the room. We then aired for 3 hours and then it was better, but the smell was really awake and I don't think anyone had noticed that before .... Breakfast is incl. However, it is very overview. However, we liked the overall package and we would continue to recommend the hotel."
