Hotels in Xujiahui District, Shanghai

Room size was decent. Room was clean and well maintained. Only minus point us the translucent door of the toilet/bathroom. You could see the person using the toilet from the outside! There is a sliding door between the toilet area and the room, but that meant that you could not access the room door without opening the sliding door. Location was good and room was quite soundproof.

The hotel's location is great, making it easy to get around, and the basic hygiene in the rooms is up to standard. The only downsides are the poor soundproofing – we could hear our neighbors quite clearly – and the limited breakfast selection. Overall, it's a decent place with reasonable value for money. The experience would be even better if these minor issues were improved.

This hotel's location is excellent. Right across the sky bridge is Xujiahui Park, and there are many dining options on Wanping South Road. It seems to be an annex of East Money, imbued with a sense of prosperity. The room decor is natural and cozy, and it's kept very clean. The zero-pressure mattress is incredibly comfortable, which is a major highlight of this hotel. The laundry room on B2 is a fantastic amenity for a business hotel!

I had a great overall experience at Meihau. The hotel's ambiance is luxurious and grand, and the rooms are impeccably cleaned. The appliances work perfectly, and amenities are well-stocked. Housekeeper Lily was incredibly sincere, calling in advance to confirm my arrival and hold the room. The most thoughtful service was her timely reminders about afternoon tea and late-night snacks. They really pay attention to the small details here, and my entire stay was hassle-free.

On this business trip to Xuhui, Shanghai, the hotel's location was truly impeccable. It's just a few minutes' walk to Xujiahui subway station, and popular spots like Wukang Road and Hengshan Road are also very close. There are plenty of malls and snack shops nearby, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and dining. The room was exceptionally clean, the bedding was soft, and the blackout curtains worked perfectly. The soundproofing at night was also good, ensuring a peaceful and comfortable rest. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient with check-in and check-out. Any requests were handled promptly. Overall, it offers great value for money. This is definitely my top choice for visiting Xuhui, and I'll stay here again on my next trip to Shanghai.

I'm glad I stayed an extra night; it gave me time to explore the hotel's small garden the morning after finishing my work. I asked the concierge and a bellhop, and the hotel signage was actually very clear. Following the arrows, I soon found a lawn and a small gazebo. It was incredibly hot, and being in the city center, it was really nice to find some shade and this little pavilion. I enjoyed a leisurely stroll and sat in the gazebo for a while; it was so peaceful with hardly anyone around early in the morning. On the first floor, they also offer Shanghai dim sum. I saw many people enjoying the buffet at lunchtime. Oh, and looking at the photos, this hotel has hosted many celebrities and dignitaries from both China and abroad, which is quite impressive! I think the only minor issues were that the elevator floor indicator wasn't very clear, and the toilet drainage in my room wasn't the best. Other than that, my stay was great, and I really appreciated the complimentary cookies the hotel provided daily. This trip was too rushed and busy with work, but I hope to stay a few more nights next time to truly experience everything.

I love this hotel. The people who work there are so lovely towards me. I’ve pretty much been staying here for over a month now, every time I’m back in Shanghai. Being at the hotel has also been an incredible opportunity for me in terms of improving my mandarin. The location is also very convenient in terms of access to food, convenience, and attractions in Shanghai. I’m about to head back here for another stay, so I couldn’t recommend it more (:

The front desk service from Ms. Huang was incredibly patient and friendly. She thoroughly explained the hotel's facilities, services, and the surrounding area, which left a great first impression. This is a more established hotel, and Shanghai dialect is commonly spoken, making communication easy. During my stay, it was film festival season, and many reporters and guests were staying here. The lobby and elevator halls were quite crowded daily. Dining in the first-floor restaurant felt like being an entertainment reporter, constantly witnessing photo ops and gossip. The room was on the smaller side, and the decor and public facilities certainly felt a bit dated, but it was clean and housekeeping was prompt. There was a good selection of pillows. The gym and pool on the 3rd floor, while compact, were well-equipped with everything you need: a power rack, dumbbells, a barbell, yoga mats, foam rollers, treadmills, ellipticals, and a rowing machine – more than sufficient. The restaurant food was just average with limited choices. Breakfast was served until 11 AM on weekends. With afternoon tea, happy hour, and executive lounge benefits, you can essentially cover three meals, offering excellent value for money.

Choosing a hotel is always the most agonizing part of any trip. I was a bit hesitant about picking Tianping Hotel this time, so I only booked two nights initially. However, I ended up loving it so much after checking in that I extended my stay for another two nights! My five-day, four-night trip to Shanghai was comfortable and enjoyable thanks to this hotel. The location is excellent; several major attractions in Xuhui District are within walking distance, and the nearby subway makes getting around very convenient. The rooms are spacious, and the double beds are a comfortable 1.35*2 meters, with all the necessary facilities and amenities. Breakfast was quite varied and tasty (I had it three days in a row!). I also highly recommend the restaurant on the fifth floor of the hotel. The hotel didn't ask for a review, and I didn't take any interior photos, so I'll just use a few pictures of nearby attractions instead.

I've stayed here several times, and overall it's pretty good. This time, I want to talk about some specific details: 1. **Smart Home System**: While the overall control is good, some details are a bit 'awkward.' For example, the lighting only has mode control; you can't control individual lights, which can be inconvenient sometimes. 2. **Natural Lighting**: Due to the floor level, the room's natural light is a bit insufficient. Combined with the dark interior decor, the room feels a bit dim and gloomy. 3. **Central Air Conditioning**: The central AC only has single-mode heating or cooling. On days with fluctuating temperatures like recently, the room can feel quite cold, requiring two duvets. 4. **Apartment Style Service**: Although the front desk responds quickly, the floor service staff are understaffed, including the robots, leading to them being overwhelmed at times.
