"It was low season when I arrived (early May) so I was the only guests. The new owners don’t speak any English, but check-in and everything went smoothly. Rooms have all the amenities you need and were clean. Hotel is close to all the sights on walking distance including some good restaurants. I didn’t try the restaurant of the hotel itself so can’t say much about that."

"Incredible stay at the Xicheng Inn. The hotel is very cozy with fascinating decor. I loved spending time in the third-floor library, filled with cultural artifacts, games, and books – you'll never get bored! The hospitality from the hotel staff is also unmatched. I stayed alone but never felt lonely. They take guests on walks around the city to discover ******* culture. "The scenery at Sangke Grassland is absolutely stunning! The Xiahe Yano Sangke International Camping Park is perfectly located; you open your door to an endless expanse of grassland, with blue skies and white clouds complementing the distant mountains. Every photo you take looks like a professional shot. The tent facilities are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and the en-suite bathrooms are very well maintained. The staff are warm and attentive, promptly responding to any needs. In the evening, the prairie breeze is wonderfully refreshing. It's a truly immersive experience to enjoy the night on the grassland, far from the city's hustle and bustle. The food is also delicious, with fresh ingredients. Overall, it’s a perfect experience. This is a must-visit camping spot if you're in Gannan, and I'll definitely be back!"

"The room was small and poorly soundproofed; you could hear your neighbors talking. The toilet seat had fallen off, and there was no hairdryer in the room, making it inconvenient to wash your hair. The only downside was the beautiful courtyard, where you could relax in the evenings. Definitely avoid the restaurant next door!"

"The dorm was very clean and equipped with a kettle, which was nice. I was the only guest during my stay. As mentioned in the other reviews, the dorm is located in the basement and you have to walk a bit to reach the toilet. The „shower“ is located across the front desk. It’s a small room where the hotel is storing their cleaning equipment, so showering there is a quite dirty and unpleasant experience. As there are so many dorms in the basement (I would guess 50+ beds), I wonder how they would handle the situation if the hotel is fully booked. Overall I would recommend staying there for one night, if you are not picky."

"I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend staying here. The hotel is right next to the entrance of the monastery and most rooms have a nice view of the lively main street and the mountains behind. The rooms also have built-in heating so the room is not cold during the colder months. The bed is very comfortable. Staff doesn’t always speak English but they are very friendly. The hotel is a little bit outdated, but I think it is one of the best places to stay in Xiahe because of the location and it offers everything you need."

"The B&B is relatively close to Labrang Monastery. The B&B staff are warm and responsive to every request (I need a nail clipper). The B&B also provides a free dinner with two meals to choose from. The B&B does not have its own parking lot, so you need to park at the Labrang Monastery parking lot, which is about 200-300 meters away from the B&B. The breakfast is Tibetan-style, which I am not used to. There is no TV in the room and a lack of entertainment facilities. The location of the B&B is not easy to find. If you drive there, you need to contact the B&B waiter in advance. Although there were some minor problems in the middle, they were resolved in time."
