Gosyen Azana Hotel Salatiga ★★★★
"This hotel offers basic facilities. It can be used as a one-night stop-over stay. The hotel tries to offer selections that will suit the traveller that wants a quick & healthy breakfast before moving out to do the intended activites in the town.  Toilet facilities are also basic."

One Six Eight OX Hotel & Restaurant ★★
"Hotel Review This newly renovated hotel is such a pleasant surprise! There wasn't a speck of dust in the hallways or rooms. The furniture and walls were brand new, like they'd just been unpacked, with absolutely no lingering renovation smells. The bedding was pristine white and soft, the bathroom tiles were so shiny they reflected light, and the shower had excellent water pressure and a constant temperature. The front desk staff were very welcoming and proactively provided directions to the surrounding area. The location is close to the shopping district, making for a comfortable and convenient stay. I've already recommended it to friends visiting the area!"

"Absolutely terrible. This so-called hotel, costing nearly 500 RMB, is basically just a family-run guesthouse. The room was on the 5th floor, accessible only by a tiny elevator that could barely fit one person. You had to lift your luggage and squeeze in to get in. The worst part was how the elevator jerked and lurched as it went up, making you constantly fear it would suddenly drop. When it finally stopped, because it was slightly higher than the floor, it suddenly lurched downwards before finally hitting the floor level – terrifying! The room itself was only about three or four square meters. The toilet was cramped, and the trash can was a folding type hidden under the sink – a design choice made because of the limited space. The so-called bedroom was just big enough for a bed; there wasn't even room for a stool, so we used a small triangular stool wedged into the corner. Worst of all, the breakfast was terrible, with no other options – just an Indonesian set meal. And when we tried to get back to the room, the door lock wouldn't open, taking a long time to unlock. The logo on all the hygiene products was a skull, a traditional spiritual symbol of Java, which was quite frightening. Having traveled for work for decades, this was the worst accommodation I'd ever stayed in, bar none—absolutely terrible."
