Villa Oliver 1 Siófok ★★★
"The beds are a disaster, with saggy mattresses. Breakfast is bad. Check-in is too complicated."
Residence Hotel Balaton ★★★★
"We took 3 of our kids to Siofok this time and stayed in their suite, which is more like an apartment - about 100m2 of space: a spacious anteroom with access to one of the terraces, a large living room (2 full sofas with chairs) with a small bar area, from where you can get to the separate whirlpool room that itself has an exit to the second terrace running across all main rooms. A corridor leads from the living room to a wardrobe room, a small sleeping room (2 single beds), the bathroom (large, toilet, bidet, walk in shower), and the main sleeping room. The sleeping rooms, too, have access to the terrace. The suite was very warm - clearly the hosts are not compromising on comfort. The suite was neat and clean as well - great place to stay. The facilities are fabulous, too. The spa offers one big pool, a small baby pool, a whirlpool, and a smaller pool with whirls as well. There are several saunas (plus one ice pool) too. There is a cocktail bar, and the entire area is spacious enough never to feel crowded, even if the place is "busy". Breakfast and dinner are usually included in the room rates, and both offer a large variety of dishes. The quality of the food is outstanding, and so is the taste. You would come to this place for the food alone. Their selection of wines is very good and lets you explore Hungarian wines with pleasure. Last but not least - everybody is really, really hospitable and friendly, and very family oriented: most guests have kids, and the hotel also offers some kids' activities as well. This was a dream stay, and we will come back of course."
Hotel la Riva ★★★
"We stayed for one night, excellent value for money. Clean but basic. Breakfast is almost exclusively savory, and starts at 8:00 a.m., not before. Parking is also available, which is useful given the location. Everything is closed out of season."
Villa Oliver 2 Siófok ★★★
"We stayed here for 4 nights and had a very pleasant stay. The location is not far from the lake, restaurants, shops, etc. Good value for money and would recommend."
Hotel Yacht Wellness & Business ★★★★
"We've stayed at the Hotel Yacht at least six times now. This time was our first visit during peak season. The hotel meets four-star standards in almost every respect, but there's definitely room for improvement. The plants in front of the entrance are withered, giving a very shabby impression. Several mosaic tiles in the whirlpool and swimming pool are coming loose, and the sharp edges pose a risk of injury! What we found particularly disturbing and incomprehensible this time (our first visit during peak season) was the following situation: next to the Hotel Yacht is the Hotel Molo (in a repulsive state), yet its guests were allowed to use the breakfast buffet and spa area of the Hotel Yacht free of charge. We don't see why we should pay a significantly higher price at the Hotel Yacht than guests of the Hotel Molo, only to have to deal with the chaos at breakfast and in the spa area! The motto should be "you get what you pay for"! Fortunately, the Hotel Molo is supposedly being demolished soon. If this situation with the guests of the Hotel Molo doesn't change at the Hotel Yacht, we and many of our friends will no longer book at the Hotel Yacht! It is very positive to mention the exceptionally friendly staff in all areas, the excellent cuisine at the evening buffet which always includes a vegan option, and the fact that dogs are warmly welcomed."
Reed Luxury Hotel by Balaton ★★★★★
"The hotel itself is super , modern, clean. The problem was that neither of my stays did the air condition work, always different explanations. Luckily the nights were not hot outside so the window could have been kept open, however there was a party in the parking area of the hotel so due to the noise needed to be closed. There was a fan in the room but did not help much as there was 26 Celsius in the room. The bistro of the hotel is quite good, however the staff of the bar was rude. The morning staff was really nice. I stayed here twice, both times same experience. Normally would not stay after the first, but gave a second chance as the hotel is very comfortable, wellness is really nice and the rooms are great."
Balaton Colors Beach Hotel ★★★
"It was good stay the hotel near to the Balaton lake."
Villa Oliver 3 Siófok ★★★
"The hotel looks nice in the photos. It's actually a hostel. We booked it for 11 days, arrived, and barely lasted a day. In reality, it's something like glamping, a hostel, or a tent. There's no service, and renovations are long overdue. And, as usual, they didn't refund my cancellation fee! We wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There are a couple of decent hotels nearby; *********** is your friend."
Sungarden Wellness Hotel Siófok ★★★★
"Excellent superior and hotel"
