"Pros: - Room facilities excellent, if not similar to a 5 star hotel - Location central, yet quiet - Feels like good value for money overall Cons: - Too many stairs, and no lift. Completely inaccessible for people on wheelchair or families with stroller - Never saw anyone at reception except when arriving/leaving - Zero customer service while on site. eg. no one we could ask about anything"

"Pleasant hotel in a great position. Rooms a good size and clean. Enormous beds. Good breakfast, although 4 days without English Breakfast Tea bags as waiting for a delivery! Really just could have bought some from a local shop to tide them over ! Wi-Fi is terrible and we had a few times we really needed access to it and it was a real struggle.Actually had to use a bars WiFi to transfer money between accounts . The showers are rainfall style , but you had a choice of full power and cold or hot and a slow trickle. Having chosen this hotel as it had a pool, it was very disappointing to not get sun-beds on several days as they were all taken by 8,15. I really don’t go on holiday to leap out of bed and hare down to the pool to put my towel down ! They are also very crammed in .Staff very friendly, although not that attentive when having lunch at the pool bar, where the food was very good. All in all , certainly not a 5 star hotel , probably a good 3 star."

"My husband and I booked to stay at Niso Skiathos (a wonderful and professionally run family business) for a week in September and we were having so much fun we extended for another week! Niso Skiathos is hands down the place to stay at if you are planning to visit Skiathos. Walking distance to all restaurants, supermarket, the shopping areas, tourist attractions and the port. You can hire a car and bikes from the hotel at a very good price but we just used the bus. The bus stop is just a five minute walk from the hotel, if that! Now, as far as the Niso Skiathos goes. AMAZING!!! From the wonderful owners (Eleni and Dimitris) to the amazing staff we met (Panagiotis, Frida and Lira). They couldn't do enough for us. Always there if you needed anything and recommendations on beaches, restaurants and areas to visit. Ask them anything they'll help. I was looking for a specific glass for my friend, which I couldn't find in any shop and Eleni found one for me. Just brilliant service all round!!! As for cleanliness. Unbelievable! You can eat off the floors they are so clean. Every day they change your bedding and towels and the floors are spotless!! You also get a basket full of goodies, a bottle of large water, teas and coffee capsules every day. Yes, the basket gets refilled each day. Seriously, just ask them anything. They go way and beyond. When we next come to Skiathos, we are definitely staying here again. Thank you Eleni and everyone for making our holiday so wonderful, fun, restful and amazing. Polla Filakia Paul & Katerina"

"It’s a nice place. Fantastic location 5 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to town and you can walk along the beach to town as well as the road. The hill is not too steep as some people say it’s just a slight incline it’s no problem. The hotel is clean and rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. Bar is good limited choice of food and drinks. Breakfasts of choice but not too keen on their version of bacon and sausage but plenty of other stuff to eat. Pool area clean and pleasant very comfy beds. Now for the negatives! Pool beds all taken by 8am most days so you need to be up. We paid extra for deluxe pool view but was disappointed with the room. We were allocated room 101 right next to reception and the very small terrace was along side the entrance of reception and about 5 metres from the bar so we had zero privacy and it was noisy. Asked to live but hotel was full manager did try to keep reception noise to a minimum after complaining but the maid cart was also outside our room so we were woken most days around 7am. I guess it’s the luck of the draw. The shower room needs a bit of a refurb it was not the best but clean and adequate. The room also only had a wardrobe no other storage no draws at all and just a shelf my husband could not unpack. So all in all it’s too good to give a 3 out of 5 but a 4 feels generous! I would look at returning perhaps to the suits and villas as the proximity was perfect. I would not return to the hotel but my daughter and her partner absolutely loved it so it’s all just a matter of what works for you."

Eventually told us they have doubled booked and it was wrong room but fully booked . Said this room €40 cheaper so we could get this back in food ? Very disappointed "

"All members of staff are super friendly, the accommodation is modern, clean and comfortable with ceiling fan and AC. The rooms have automatic blackout blinds which enabled us to have the best sleeps ever! The two pools were just the right size with sun-beds available The breakfast was excellent and on the occasion we ate an evening meal the food was delicious It is in a quiet area but only 10mins walk from the centre of town where there is an abundance of restaurants, We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mystery Hotel to anyone that visits to beautiful Skiathos"

"Perfect solution for a holiday in Skiathos. Very central (halfway between the old port and the new port near the buses and the center) with parking, new structure with small rooms but equipped with all comforts (for us Italians the only thing missing is the bidet but that is never found) upon arrival you find a bottle of water and sweet and savory snacks that are refilled every day, Nespresso machine and kettle, small very comfortable shower clothes horse, kind and smiling owners, nearby there is a nice park for children. If you choose breakfast it is done in a partner restaurant and is mostly a savory breakfast. Highly recommended excellent value for money, top cleaning."

"I stayed there for two weeks in June. Good value for money. I stayed in an apartment for three people on the second floor with a magnificent view of Skiathos town and the sea. The kitchen has everything you need for breakfast. The bathroom, while small, has a large shower, albeit with a curtain. You can wash without flooding the area outside the shower. There's always hot water, and no suds come out of the shower drain (a pleasant and rare thing in budget apartments in Greece!). Sheets are changed every day, towels every three days, and the rooms are cleaned daily. The overall cleanliness is excellent, and the outdoor area is well-maintained. The location is quiet, away from the chaos and noise of the city. I recommend having your own transportation (car, scooter, etc.) to reach these studios. Eleni and her son are always available and kind. Recommended! I was there for two weeks in June. Good value for money. "We had an amazing experience for the few days we stayed at the Avaton suites and villas. Rooms were spacious, nicely decorated with the use of hot tub. Combined with spectacular views to the sea, in the middle of woods was exactly what we needed. But above all you could feel their hospitality. Eleni and her team worked hard all hours to make sure every wish was fullfilled. Quite often Eleni was thinking for us before we even realise we needed something. Her moto was 'just ask'!! It was our first visit to the island, will cherish all memories. Thank you!!"

"Our stay at the hotel was 1st class, the location perfect for all Skiathos town has to offer. The hotel staff were so kind & caring and a credit to the hotel. Room was exceptionally clean and have got all the mod cons. Breakfast was to a good standard with things cooked to order. The only thing that was disappointing was the drinks from the bar & mini bar as these were very expensive. Mythos beer in town 3-4 euros…..7 at the hotel. Overall a lovely stay & would definitely stay again"
