"This golden-standard designer guesthouse is a real gem, I can't believe I found it! You can book with your eyes closed, it's impossible to go wrong. It's exactly the island courtyard I'd always dreamed of! 🌿 Minimalist Wabi-sabi style – every photo you take here looks like a high-end shot. The owner, being a designer themselves, has crafted the guesthouse with incredible taste. The pristine white architecture, complemented by tropical greenery, creates a beautiful interplay of bamboo shadows, light, and the shimmering pool. The private pool in the courtyard is a clear, inviting blue, surrounded by coconut trees, giving off major vacation vibes. The red brick courtyard and Zen garden are so relaxing and healing. You don't even need filters to get great photos here. The guesthouse also offers a 2km shuttle service!"

"My husband and I came to Wanning for our anniversary, and honestly, this trip was made so special thanks to our butler, Luna. She was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. I wanted to surprise my husband a little, so I contacted Luna beforehand to help me with a 10th-anniversary room setup. To my surprise, she even prepared a small cake for us! I was initially worried it wouldn't be possible, so it was a delightful surprise. Luna was just so heartwarming, and she quickly helped us with any questions we had afterward, from recommending restaurants to booking shuttle buses to Shenzhou Station. She truly deserves 100 stars! It's an older hotel, and while some of the facilities are a bit dated, the room was clean and tidy, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable, giving me two nights of great sleep. The hotel has a fantastic resort vibe; the lawn, pool, beach, and little train all make for great photos. The breakfast was abundant; I ate until I was stuffed. The only slight negative was that the hotel's park guide wasn't clear, so we weren't sure what facilities or activities were available. I suggest providing guests with a paper or digital park map upon check-in, clearly marking facilities and activity times."

"I was a bit apprehensive at first, seeing the mixed reviews online, but the moment we were waiting to check in, our amazing butler, Mile, contacted me and offered to handle the check-in process directly. Throughout our stay, her service was incredibly thoughtful and responsive. She went above and beyond, tirelessly answering my requests for the buggy at any hour – truly exceptional attentiveness that brought our trip to a perfect close!. As for the hotel itself, we booked a two-bedroom villa, and contrary to some online comments, it wasn't damp at all, even though it rained during our stay. The cleanliness was also satisfactory. The room was very spacious and perfectly comfortable for our family of five. We also enjoyed a continuous flow of welcome drinks and complimentary fruit platters and cakes upon arrival, which many five-star hotels don't even offer. The only minor drawback was breakfast; it was just too crowded. I had to queue at 9:00 AM on the first day and again at 10:20 AM on the second day. Everything else was absolutely perfect, and I look forward to visiting again!"

"Facilities: The facilities are decent, with two pools, but the open-plan lobby compromises the hotel's privacy. On the other hand, rooms are difficult to locate, and there are no sea-view rooms at all, which is a bit odd. There are many good parent-child activities. Hygiene: Very good. Environment: Shimei Bay, excellent. Service: There's a butler service that helped upgrade our room type, which was great. However, the snorkeling shop the hotel partners with was just so-so; it's best to do your research before participating in such activities. If you're bringing children, be sure to manage their playtime and use physical sun protection! Overall, the experience wasn't as good as the Sheraton Shenzhou Peninsula, but the service was excellent. They gave my friend many gifts and actively helped resolve any issues we encountered."

"The two-bedroom apartment was very clean and cozy. All the staff greeted us with smiles – this is what a vacation feels like! It's very close to the Shenzhou Lighthouse Scenic Area, and the waves were indeed quite large. Although it's not Riyue Bay, you can imagine Wanning's appeal to surfing enthusiasts. Even closer is Tiger Grandma's Herb Duck, which tops the food rankings. When I arrived at the hotel at noon, I was curious why there were so many people queuing outside. I joined the queue in the evening, and it was a pleasant surprise! There are countless restaurants nearby, several of which are in the top ten. I only regret that my stay was too short to try them all. I didn't take any photos. It was as comfortable as home, perfect for a family chat. The bedding was very comfortable, the curtains blocked out the light well, and I slept soundly during my afternoon nap. It perfectly matched my definition of a slow-paced trip. I loved it. This time I brought my elderly parents. Next time I want to bring my husband and children."

"I'm a Grand Hyatt member, but their booking system is clunky, so I booked through Ctrip instead of the official Grand Hyatt website. First, the room. I booked an ocean-view twin room back in June. When I arrived, I found out it was in building 37. While not the most central location, it was still nice; I could see the sea from the balcony. Next time, I hope to get a more central spot. Regarding the beach: Two years ago, we stayed in Shimei Bay, and the beach there was fantastic, even better than Yalong Bay's, though the hotel itself was mediocre. This time at the Grand Hyatt, the hotel is great, but honestly, the beach isn't as clean as Shimei Bay. There was a lot of trash on the sand near the lighthouse, and the sand itself wasn't as fine as Shimei Bay's. About check-in: We arrived around 11 AM and had lunch. By about 2 PM, we could check in. The buggy service was excellent, and the staff were very polite. However, I have to mention that the service from the staff member at the hotel lounge while we were waiting to check in was a bit cold. When I asked him something, he answered impatiently. Regarding the room: The room was indeed spacious and very clean, with welcome drinks and a coffee machine. But the bathtub drain was constantly clogged; we had to call maintenance three nights in a row, and it was never fixed. That's unacceptable. Also, the sliding door to toilet 9 was poor quality and noisy. We requested an extra bed, and it turned out to be a terrible spring mattress – unstable and unsafe to sleep on. I hope next time the hotel provides extra beds that are of the same quality as the main beds. The Wi-Fi was slow, and I kept having connection issues. I ended up using my phone's 5G for three days. Breakfast: Excellent, 5 stars! There are two restaurants, Yu and Hefang, offering both Western and Chinese options. No queues in the morning, so you can enjoy a comfortable breakfast. When we went to the hotel's 'Tanpan' for drinks in the evening, we were almost eaten alive by mosquitoes. No amount of repellent helped, so we couldn't enjoy ourselves. The hotel front desk staff arranged by Ctrip, Ms. She, had excellent service. She was very helpful and responded quickly. I hope the hotel improves its service standards. I would still consider staying here again."

The main reason I'm writing this positive review is that at 2 AM, when I wanted to light mosquito coils but didn't have a lighter, the butler brought one to my room within ten minutes. This service is truly outstanding, making me feel that the money spent was absolutely worth it. Finally, when we left some clothes behind, they provided the quickest solution to get them back to us. 🥹💋"
