"The hotel 8 is situated about 2km from the high speed railway station (taxi 10rmb) and has 25 floors with a number of the lower floors used for functions such as weddings. Nice pool and gym, both open 14:30 till 22:30, staff is friendly but as not many foreign people stay Chinese is useful to communicate. Rooms are comfortable and large size, style of decoration is classic. Buffet breakfast in morning. Note for none smokers, smoking is common in all of the hotel including lobby and restaurants."

The only downside is that some guests are known to smoke in the elevator, something the hotel should be aware of. If this can be improved, the hotel will be truly exceptional."

"The views are amazing and the sand is so fine. Our butler, Ella, sent us a guide as soon as we checked in, which turned out to be really helpful. We picked two spots to visit the next day and both were great. The breakfast selection was extensive and the kids loved it, eating a lot. You can also take the shuttle bus to the neighboring hotel to explore. We didn't get a king-size bed room, so we paid a bit extra to upgrade to a suite. However, it was quite a distance from the elevator, and some guests slamming their doors loudly was annoying. The soundproofing could definitely be improved. There were even people setting off fireworks at eleven or twelve at night, which was also very noisy. Among the luxury hotels in Wanning, this one offers great value for money. I would consider staying here again on my next visit."

"The family activities here are absolutely top-notch, offering a ton of outdoor experiences like tree climbing and surfing. The staff are incredibly patient and engaging with the kids, unlike the superficial craft activities you often find at other hotels. Kim's excellent service deserves full marks; she replied to my messages instantly. Based on these two points, I'm giving a full 5-star rating. The hotel really needs to update its hardware, though. The outdated LeTV and non-smart toilet somewhat detracted from the overall stay experience. Plus, most hotels nowadays offer robot room service. And finally, the breakfast, for a hotel in this price range, isn't particularly outstanding."

"This hotel was our first stop on our East Coast Hainan island tour, and it didn't disappoint. The service was excellent, especially our butler, Mile. He contacted us two days in advance to ask about our preferences, sent us menus, arranged our room, and even turned on the dehumidifier before we arrived. Our luggage was delivered directly to our room, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. Our room had a direct ocean view, perfect for watching both sunrises and moonrises. The balcony was very spacious and sunny, the air conditioning worked great, and the sheets were clean. The lobby has a fantastic, grand design. Watching the sunrise from the beach was also breathtaking."

"Service: From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we felt very comfortable. All the staff were incredibly welcoming, the front desk lady was very gentle, and all the staff we met around the property greeted us warmly 🙋. Environment: 🌳 Tropical garden style with good greenery. The room was a bit noisy, with high-speed trains passing both in front and behind, but it was acceptable once the door was closed. The mini-bar in the room was free to use, and it was fun to buy some base spirits from the supermarket to mix drinks. Facilities: Everything you need is there. There are also shops outside the surfing park, though some haven't opened yet. Surfing was a lot of fun, and the instructor was very patient. I'll definitely come back when I have time. Hygiene: Public areas were very clean, and the room was also large and clean. Breakfast: Full marks! Both Chinese and Western options were available in a buffet style from 7 AM to 1:30 PM, which was a huge bonus. It was great to sleep in and then enjoy brunch. Other: It's not far from the hotel to the commercial street, just a few minutes walk. The commercial street is very lively after 9 PM, but pretty empty between 5 PM and 7 PM. You can order takeout food, and it gets delivered right to the hotel. We ordered from a few places, and the taste was generally average."

"The lobby service is pretty good, but I want to complain about the people who stayed at room 1115 on the night of January 31st. They were extremely uncultured. It was already midnight, and they were making so much noise. The TV volume was so loud that it disturbed other people's rest. I am speechless about such rubbish! I hope the front desk reminds the guests to be quiet at night and not disturb others' rest! I also want to complain about the waiters in the restaurant on the third floor. Their attitude and faces are as long as their long johns. Since they are in the catering industry, they should not embarrass the customers so early in the morning! What’s more, the food is gone and they won’t serve it. It’s Chinese New Year and there are a lot of people here, so they should just serve it in a timely manner! What's the point of losing face? The price is higher than usual, and you still have to look at the face?"

Every inch of De Vivre will produce the best photo you can ever ask for. They even provide a free photography service for you if you need( first 3 photos is by the photographer). The most outstanding part about this place, more so than the scenary is the service provided by the staff there. They have a 24hours butler service that will try help you resolve any problems that you have to the best of their abilities. They are swift in responding and always always very friendly to make you feel at home. The owner who is there most of the time will chat with you and offer you fruits from the local villagers and really make you feel at ease and at home. Not to mention the 2 dogs there that are extremely friendly that will only try to ask you for belly rubs. They also offer a lot of activies in the hotel such as henna painting, hair braiding and other diy art events, with afternoon tea and even movie under the stars. If you are looking to go to the nearby beach, they have a chauffer to bring you there and back, you just have to communicate the timings with them. The whole stay is extremely pleasant. If you are worried about the cleanliness of the place, it is extremely clean. Thy would on the air conditional before you arrive so that your room would already be cool. The room always smells very pleasant. Last but not least, I just wanna say this is not a sponsored post hahaha. These are all heartfelt feelings and I would definitely find time to go back there. The view from the residence is really beautiful. You can surf downstairs. There is also a shooting place for the TV drama Xiahua. There are also amusement facilities downstairs. Unfortunately, these two days are cloudy, but fortunately, this trip time is short. I will choose here next time.

It was so beautiful that I couldn’t help myself and took a photo on the balcony. It was so beautiful that it surpassed the photo. Sure enough, you get what you pay for😭The garden view cannot see the sea. There are cruise ships out to sea right in front of the hotel. You must go out to sea, it’s super cool. There are really many swimming pools in the hotel. There is an infinity swimming pool, which is very photogenic. You can take photos of the lighthouse. It is beautiful to take pictures of. You must go to take photos and check in during the day. The lighthouse is dark at night and cannot be seen. We had breakfast at the hotel the next morning. There were really many types of breakfast. There are also Western and Chinese food. Salad cakes are available. I like the freshly cooked noodles very much, it suits my taste very much. Later, we went to the lighthouse to check in. After all, it was the filming location of her missing photo. Taking photos is also very impressive. The hotel is not far from the lighthouse, and it takes more than ten minutes to get there by taxi. AAidar1989Second time staying here in Surfer's Garden. Super friendly to foreigners. Staff can speak some conversational English. Great vibes here if you love active travel with local night life experience. It's located in the village, but it's easy to reach out to the beach line just in 10-15 min walk or several minutes on a e-scooter that you can rent directly in the store. Welcome to negotiate for a better rent price 😁. 60 - ＞ 40 RMB. If you are lucky, you might can find a lower price in the village. Many local food stores and convenience stores just outside of hotel. For renting the surf board, I'd recommend go directly to the stands right on the beach (right side of the beach, closer the bridge that connects the island with living compound). 80-100 RMB per board for one time use (a couple of hours). Absolutely must go to Kaya and other bars for late drinking and partying! You can meet lots of cool young Chinese people.

KKelkooLocation: ONLY book if you are coming with your own car. Accommodation is not easily accessible by foot especially if you are arriving at night. All food places at least 5-10 min DRIVE. However, it is an interesting location as it is not close to the sea, so you get to experience another side of Hainan’s environment. Make sure you bring mosquito repellent. Service: Was just okay - not the most helpful unless you ask questions. For example, the SUPs have to be booked ahead so their trainer is scheduled to come - which was not mentioned. So if you are only staying for one day, make sure you tell them ahead. Cleanliness: Since it is a humid environment, mould will likely appear. The tent we were in had a lot of mould on many of the inner walls. There was an attempt at simply covering it but these tents should be cleaned and treated. Amenities: the tents definitely are definitely more fancy than normal tents - ours had a shower and AC. I was mostly disappointed by the lack of activities and food availability. I think if you are an accommodation that is difficult to access - at least food/drinks options should be provided.
