Wanning Beach Hotels

"This is a newly opened hotel that's part of the CTS Surfing Resort, with a pretty fresh style. We stayed in a surfing twin room. There's no nightstand in the middle, so the beds can be pushed together, which is convenient for families like ours with kids. The twin beds are larger, and having two separate duvets is more practical in case the little ones kick theirs off. The vanity is in the main room, in line with the TV, while the toilet and shower are on opposite sides of the room. Overall, it's fairly convenient. However, when you enter the shower area on the right, there's no space to change or grab a towel to dry off – you're immediately in the shower. Once you're done and open the shower door, you're directly back in the room, completely exposed. For families with very young children, this might not be an issue. Since it's a new hotel, the facilities are quite modern. The balcony has two seats and a clothes drying rack. There's no washing machine in the room, but there's a self-service laundry room on the first floor with two washers and dryers (no need for detergent or disinfectant, as the machines automatically dispense them). You might have to wait during peak hours. Overall, it's pretty good and suitable for surfing. Our butler, Linda, added us on WeChat in advance to introduce the services and facilities, which was very convenient and the service was good."

"The hotel more looks like a bed and breakfast than a 4 star hotel. The room we booked was really small, around 12 square meters. With a balcony outside to sit. However, the view does not worth sitting and many other neighbors are just checking you. The room itself was clean, but inside the community isn't very clean at all. Probably, the highest disappointment comes from the public swimming pool which is a really tiny swimming pool. Their swimming pool is around 2.5 meters to 2.5 meters. So if you're coming to have a nice swimming experience, don't even think about it in this hotel. We booked a room with breakfast included which was around 50 yuan more expensive than if we didn't want any breakfast. Let me be honest with you, their breakfast doesn't worth at all. There's no salad, no seasonal fruit, no bread, no coffee (broken coffee machine) and no desert. Forget all the things you can find in breakfast of normal 4 start hotel, It's just some dumplings, egg and simple corn which you can buy from any shop outside for less than 10 yuan all of them. Overall, the price doesn't fit the service you receive, specifically about the swimming pool and breakfast."

"Overall, I'm very satisfied! The hotel breakfast had a great variety, and the complimentary travel photoshoot was a nice touch – definitely recommend trying it. The public areas are shared with the Sheraton, and the shuttle bus made getting around super convenient. The beach sand was incredibly fine and clean, which I loved! Our butler, Ella, was so thoughtful and attentive; her service was truly outstanding!"

"Our off-season trip to Wanning was such great value for money! I'm so glad we chose The Westin Wanning. Everything from booking to check-in was perfect (the hotel actually reads customer reservation notes!). Our dedicated butler, Mile, provided excellent service, even answering my questions late at night. The hotel is huge, and the view from our room's balcony was absolutely stunning. This is truly a hotel with heart 👍"

"The hotel has been extensively renovated since my last stay. There is a cool new gym, a laundry room and the pool area is still top notch. Breakfast is generous and varied. Th rooms are really relaxing, with high quality linens, towels, pillows and mattresses making it very comfortable . The combination rain shower/nozzle shower is excellent and the room comes with a huge tv also. I had a courtyard room which has 2 more seats outside but a balcony room might have been just as convenient. Staff are really friendly and the room is cleaned to a high standard each day. Location is excellent. The hotel is across the quiet roadway from the beach which is being upgraded with new sand being spread. The Shaka Surf shop is just outside the hotel for lessons and rentals, and there is a really nice restaurant (Goofy Dog) just beside that. The noise at night might be an issue with small kids but if you want to be in the heart of the ‘scene’ there’s nowhere better to be. I would very highly recommend this as a place to stay in Riyue Bay."

"Location: Lovely location right by the ocean but a bit far from any fun spots. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the Wanning 日月 beach where there's a lot more fun activities. Services: Great service. The front desk manager TT was lovely and could speak great English thus making communication go smoothly. Amenities: Good but could be better. I think some of the rooms were not used for a long time. The first room I got smelled a bit musty. Also, don't expect new facilities this place looks like it's been around for a long time and it shows. Still, it's charming in all it's rustic glory. I would say the only downside to my stay is that there was no shuttle to the train station. Which is kind of a letdown given that this is a high-end resort. ***If you're a person of colour, I recommend maybe try the two hotels not far from this place. Le Meridien and The Westin I think. I didn't spot any other foreigner during my two days at this hotel until I went to 日月 for a walk and ran into a few of them。It turns out most foreigners stay at the Westin or Le Meridien thus maybe it won't feel too isolating opting for these two hotels rather than this one. All in all, it's a nice hotel to stay if you're on a budget.👍🥂"

"First time in Wanning! A huge thank you to our butler, Coco, for arranging such a great room for us. The view of the sea was unobstructed and fantastic, although it was unfortunately cloudy during our entire stay, haha. The room itself felt a bit dated, and the cleanliness was just so-so; there were still marks on the bathroom window. The lobby view was nice, and the pool was huge and picturesque, but honestly, it wasn't very clean – you couldn't see clearly underwater. The public areas were quite small, and there weren't many coconut trees. We booked this place specifically for the pool. As for breakfast, it was just okay. The sea looks much better when the sun is out."

"It’s amazing. This price is so comfortable and clean. The big swimming pool service is really amazing. It has been praised. It is especially suitable for self-driving tours. It is much more comfortable than many homestays next to it. I have been regretting that I didn’t come to live here on the first day. It is very suitable for self-driving tours. Multi-person travel, Family travel. The front desk will call in advance to ask for the license plate number, what time will come, the store manager will come out to pick up, the service has nothing to say, great! ! ! ! Each house has its own swimming pool, the water is super clean and cool! !"

"Checked into the beachfront villa at Le Méridien Shimei Bay Resort and had an amazing stay. The hotel environment was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very diligent with housekeeping. The breakfast offered a good variety of options, and the Horizon Sea View Restaurant had a fantastic view. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and nice. This time, I stayed in the same room type as [Nambo Wan/celebrity name, if applicable], and the ocean view was absolutely unbeatable. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, making it perfect for family trips. The only minor downsides were the limited options for nearby takeout and that most places close quite early. Our butler, Lexie, was patient and provided excellent service, solving issues quickly and efficiently. Thumbs up!"

"I stayed in the apartment for three consecutive days, enjoying the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening. Coming to Shenzhou Peninsula was purely for relaxation and a holiday. There are many restaurants downstairs, and a larger store nearby that can meet daily needs. It's a nine-kilometer drive to Shimei Bay observation deck, where you can get great photos of Shimei Bay."
