"Our stay this time was absolutely perfect! I had originally booked a standard room, but upon arrival, the hotel thoughtfully upgraded us to a Thai-style villa free of charge, which was such a wonderful surprise! The villa featured high, wooden ceilings that were incredibly stylish, and the living room was spacious and comfortable. The Thai-style soft furnishings were tastefully arranged, with blue and white throw pillows complementing the solid wood furniture perfectly. Being in the room felt like a Southeast Asian getaway, the atmosphere was just incredible.
Not only was the hardware superb, but the service was also impeccable. From check-in to everyday needs, the staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Their response time was quick, and they even proactively asked about our needs and offered suggestions for activities. The care in every detail made us feel especially welcome. The bedding in the room was soft and skin-friendly, and the bathroom facilities and amenities were all high-quality; you could really feel the hotel's dedication in every detail. The surrounding environment was serene, surrounded by lush greenery, offering a truly immersive holiday experience. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time!"

"The pool access room was fantastic for our family with kids; it was super convenient to just hop into the water. We spent our time relaxing on the balcony, chatting and having snacks – now that's a real vacation! The service was excellent, and the hotel environment goes without saying. My only minor gripes are that the facilities are a bit old, and the breakfast wasn't great – very limited variety. On the bright side, the butler contacted us in advance to sort everything out, which was a nice touch, and they even sent us a small cake and fruit. We'll definitely choose this place again next time we're in Wanning."

"The hotel is huge with lovely views and lots of beautiful plants. The front desk even gave us complimentary coconut coffee cookies and a free room upgrade. There are also various kids' activities and a kids' playground, which my children absolutely loved. When we got tired, we could go for a swim. There are many pools, including hot springs, and an indoor heated pool for rainy days. The kids' pool has water slides and basketball hoops for children to play with. There are also villas, a farm, and a sports field nearby, perfect for a morning run! My twin room had an oversized bathtub, a huge balcony, and stunning, mesmerizing lake views. Breakfast is a buffet, and the restaurant is massive with an countless variety of delicious dishes. In the evening, you can watch the sunset at the hotel's easternmost sunset camp. The landlord is from Chengdu and is very enthusiastic. The decoration style of the room is European style and very high-end. The hotel is located in a lakeside villa in Shimei Mountain Villa. The towels and bath towels in the room are disposable, clean and hygienic. The landlord also provided us with free electric car rental, which is particularly convenient for walking in Wanning. MM38965****This place is really great. First of all, the rooms are very nice, clean, and spacious, with an outdoor swimming pool (directly connected to the pool from the first floor). We came during the off-season, so we had a private pool for two. The service is also excellent. Compared to five-star hotels, where staff are generally just politely smiling, here the staff all have genuinely friendly smiles. In Riyue Bay, staff will take you wherever you want to go in a small car, stopping wherever you want (during the off-season). The breakfast here is very refined, unlike the buffet style of large hotels. There's complimentary afternoon tea (the passion fruit tea is amazing!), and a cup of evening tea. Honestly, the overall experience was better than at a typical guesthouse, but the friendliness of everyone was a big plus. (Special praise to Xiaomei and Agui! Xiaomei is a very gentle young lady, and Agui is a very knowledgeable young man about the local area; you can ask him in advance where you want to go.)

The setting of the place is like a garden, it has a touch of rustic yet modern. If you are looking for a place to take photos then this is the place for you. Every inch of De Vivre will produce the best photo you can ever ask for. They even provide a free photography service for you if you need( first 3 photos is by the photographer).
The most outstanding part about this place, more so than the scenary is the service provided by the staff there. They have a 24hours butler service that will try help you resolve any problems that you have to the best of their abilities. They are swift in responding and always always very friendly to make you feel at home. The owner who is there most of the time will chat with you and offer you fruits from the local villagers and really make you feel at ease and at home. Not to mention the 2 dogs there that are extremely friendly that will only try to ask you for belly rubs.
They also offer a lot of activies in the hotel such as henna painting, hair braiding and other diy art events, with afternoon tea and even movie under the stars. If you are looking to go to the nearby beach, they have a chauffer to bring you there and back, you just have to communicate the timings with them. The whole stay is extremely pleasant.
If you are worried about the cleanliness of the place, it is extremely clean. Thy would on the air conditional before you arrive so that your room would already be cool. The room always smells very pleasant.
Last but not least, I just wanna say this is not a sponsored post hahaha. These are all heartfelt feelings and I would definitely find time to go back there. They definitely made me feel like home even away from home. This is the perfect getaway for anyone.

This is the hotel where my children and I slept the best during a week-long tour of Hainan East Line!
The hotel provides breakfast and afternoon tea. As a local, I must praise the Qingbuliang provided by this hotel for afternoon tea. The Qingbuliang that the locals like is really amazing.
The breakfast is also very rich! Adults and children can choose what they like!
The hotel room is full of design, and you can take a big picture in every corner. I think it is not an exaggeration to say that it is the most photogenic hotel in Wanning.
There is also a large balcony outside the room. Sitting on the balcony and looking out the window is really quiet!
The hotel's swimming pool is really great, and it also provides a glass boat. The atmosphere for taking pictures is amazing~ You can take pictures at will~

MMeisenkaiserThe best homestay we had in China. A really beautiful place. But the real beauty lies in the people who work there. Incredibly friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home. We also met the owner who is also really friendly and helpful. He took us to a market and to a beach where fishermen pull their nets in the evening. He also invited us to dinner in the evening and we had a great evening with him. The house manager is also a great guy. He took us to the Swallow Cave and helped us get a transport to Sanya when our train was cancelled during a typhoon. We also participated in a number of activities in the afternoon with the wonderful guest service manager. A big thank you to all the warm-hearted people of this hotel, you made our stay really special!

GGuest UserI recently stayed here as a Belgian Chinese traveler, and even though my Chinese isn’t very strong, I was welcomed with so much warmth. This hostel is a true hidden gem, tucked away from the typical tourist trails in a quiet part of the village. It’s the perfect location: right by the fields and some very trendy coffee shops, yet only a 5-minute scooter ride from the main bay and the best surf spots.
The owners, Shuiku (水库) and Xiaoxiao (笑笑), really made my trip. Shuiku immediately helped me sort out a scooter and personally showed me where to find the best waves, while Xiaoxiao’s English is quite good, which made everything so much easier. They also pointed me toward some local restaurants that were all absolutely delicious.
The vibe of the place is just great. It’s incredibly clean because the cleaning lady and Shuiku himself clean the place several times a day. I loved the design of the indoor chill-out area, though sitting outside to enjoy the tropical weather was just as good. There’s a washing machine which is super handy, and you can rent surfboards for a very fair, cheap price.
Because the owners' friends drop by almost daily, there’s always a lively, authentic atmosphere. I met a great mix of foreign tourists and Chinese solo travelers trekking around the island by bike or motorcycle. Many Chinese couples and families where staying too, it is very kid-friendly too. I even ended up meeting a French girl there, and we spent a whole week surfing together. If you're looking for a peaceful yet social spot to surf, this is it.

青旅的环境没得说，非常干净，我看到保洁阿姨和水库每天都会打扫好几次。室内休息区的设计感很强，在那儿待着很舒服，或者在院子里享受海南的好天气也很惬意。这里还有洗衣机可以用，冲浪板的租借价格也非常公道。
最让我喜欢的是这里的氛围。老板的朋友们经常过来串门，所以感觉特别亲切、有生活气息。我在这里遇到了很多外国游客，还有不少骑自行车或摩托车环岛的中国驴友。我甚至还结识了一位法国姑娘，我们俩一起冲浪了一整个星期。很多中国夫妇和家庭也住在这里，这里也非常适合带孩子入住。如果你想在海南找一个既能安静休息又能结识有趣朋友的冲浪点，选这里准没错。

While my room didn’t face the ocean directly, it overlooked a beautiful garden full of lush tropical trees and plants. It felt like waking up in the middle of a quiet jungle oasis. I loved how calming it was — birds chirping in the morning, swaying palm trees, and so much natural light.
The room itself was spotless and stylish, with a comfortable bed and everything I needed. You can tell they care about maintaining the place really well.

The room was spacious, bright, clean, and well-equipped with high-quality amenities. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom featured a separate shower and bathtub, with plenty of hot water and stable water pressure.
The location was also ideal, with convenient transportation links and close proximity to several tourist attractions and shopping areas, making it easy to explore or shop. The hotel also offers leisure facilities like a swimming pool, perfect for unwinding after a day out.
Every moment spent at Footprint Homestay was comfortable and enjoyable, making it an excellent choice for travelers. Highly recommended!

DDizhexidongdongFacilities: Extremely well-equipped. The washing machine and refrigerator are absolutely essential in a tropical coastal city. It was so convenient to just toss our swimsuits into the washing machine after a dip in the sea every day. The guesthouse even provided small packets of laundry detergent, which was more than enough. It was also great to have a fridge for storing fruits and desserts we bought.
The TV is large and supports screen mirroring, which is fantastic. The air conditioning is powerful too.
We could use the pools and water park at the Legend Seaview Hotel, which is a great perk. Unfortunately, the water park wasn't open in June, but the pool was still very good.
Environment: Absolutely beautiful. The balcony view is exceptional, with double-sided sea views. I wanted to take photos every day, and it really lifted my spirits. For this price, this guesthouse offers incredible value.
Service: The housekeeper service is excellent. They respond instantly during working hours and are always ready to help. If something was missing or broken, repairs were done very promptly. An auntie came to clean every day, and the service quality was comparable to a hotel.
Hygiene: For a guesthouse, the hygiene was already very good. However, I have a few suggestions:
First, because the air by the sea is humid, the carpets in the bedroom tend to develop a musty smell if the windows aren't open for a while, and they're difficult to maintain. Dry flooring would be cleaner. It would be great if the carpet could be removed.
Second, upon check-in, we found a bit of old food residue in the refrigerator 😂. It would be good to improve the cleanliness of food storage areas like the fridge.
Third, perhaps because the entire building consists of apartments with kitchens, we found large cockroaches every day during our stay (for someone from the north, they truly seemed big). However, after asking the cleaning auntie to increase the dosage of cockroach killer, the ones we found afterward were basically dead.
Aside from these three points, I was quite satisfied with the guesthouse's hygiene.
Location: It's on Rongchuang Peninsula, where there are plenty of dining and shopping options. There are also many shuttle buses to the beach, which is very convenient. However, food and drinks on the island are a bit pricier. We rented an electric scooter and sometimes went to the village for meals and to buy fruit.

Welcome to negotiate for a better rent price 😁. 60 - ＞ 40 RMB. If you are lucky, you might can find a lower price in the village.
Many local food stores and convenience stores just outside of hotel.
For renting the surf board, I'd recommend go directly to the stands right on the beach (right side of the beach, closer the bridge that connects the island with living compound). 80-100 RMB per board for one time use (a couple of hours).
Absolutely must go to Kaya and other bars for late drinking and partying! You can meet lots of cool young Chinese people.

DDuocijujuepengyuyan！I was wandering around Riyue Bay and accidentally found a very good youth hostel, so I decided to stay there. The price was cheap and it was in Riyue Bay Village. The surrounding environment was very good. It was not noisy at night and was very quiet. There were many activities during the weekdays. You can go to the beach and play together. The boss and volunteers were very good. I made new friends here. We all sang and drank together by the fire. It was so nice.
