Mountain View Hotels in Wanning

"Huge thanks to the front desk for the room upgrade! Check-in was super fast, and we got a lake-view room. The view from the sixth floor was pretty good, though the highest floor is the seventh, so it obviously can't compare to the views from higher-floor rooms. But being on a lower floor meant less wind, so it felt really warm and cozy. The hotel's public area pool is beautiful. The outdoor pool is cold water, not heated. However, the indoor heated pool makes up for it – you can swim there and then go for a hot spring dip, which is incredibly comfortable! I'd suggest increasing the frequency of maintenance for the hot spring pools; when I went, the water quality wasn't as good as I'd imagined, and the hot spring water quality isn't quite on par with places like Tengchong or Guangzhou. It's a bit stingy that guests consuming at the lobby bar still have to pay extra for the billiard table. I'd suggest changing this to a reservation-based system with a time limit; guests would probably feel better about that. Breakfast overall was decent. The live cooking stations for noodles and vermicelli were freshly prepared, and the broths were excellent. However, the soy milk and coconut milk were both watered down and flavorless, like too much water had been added, making them very bland. I hope this can be improved, because the self-service Qingbuliang (a refreshing dessert soup) loses its meaning if the coconut milk isn't good! The housekeeping staff are very diligent. For consecutive stays, it felt almost like checking into a new room every day. But as a five-star resort, shouldn't the complimentary bottled water at least be something like Nongfu Spring? This 'Ice Dew' brand is a bit much. A few extra cents in cost wouldn't hurt, right?"

"This hotel was our first stop on our East Coast Hainan island tour, and it didn't disappoint. The service was excellent, especially our butler, Mile. He contacted us two days in advance to ask about our preferences, sent us menus, arranged our room, and even turned on the dehumidifier before we arrived. Our luggage was delivered directly to our room, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. Our room had a direct ocean view, perfect for watching both sunrises and moonrises. The balcony was very spacious and sunny, the air conditioning worked great, and the sheets were clean. The lobby has a fantastic, grand design. Watching the sunrise from the beach was also breathtaking."

"I stayed in the apartment for three consecutive days, enjoying the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening. Coming to Shenzhou Peninsula was purely for relaxation and a holiday. There are many restaurants downstairs, and a larger store nearby that can meet daily needs. It's a nine-kilometer drive to Shimei Bay observation deck, where you can get great photos of Shimei Bay."

"The family activities here are absolutely top-notch, offering a ton of outdoor experiences like tree climbing and surfing. The staff are incredibly patient and engaging with the kids, unlike the superficial craft activities you often find at other hotels. Kim's excellent service deserves full marks; she replied to my messages instantly. Based on these two points, I'm giving a full 5-star rating. The hotel really needs to update its hardware, though. The outdated LeTV and non-smart toilet somewhat detracted from the overall stay experience. Plus, most hotels nowadays offer robot room service. And finally, the breakfast, for a hotel in this price range, isn't particularly outstanding."

"No complaints whatsoever! Waking up to a breathtaking ocean view right from my window was amazing – a truly unobstructed sea view. The room amenities are all top-tier brands, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Plus, the kitchen is free to use. It's incredibly good value for money during the off-season; I could honestly live here if I had the time. And it's right next to Riyue Bay, so you can enjoy surfing and sea fishing, making for a perfect holiday."

"I spent a long time choosing a guesthouse and finally settled on this one. The room was spacious, the price was right, and they offered a lot of complimentary items. We arrived in Wanning at night, and the owner picked us up in his car and even upgraded our room. The room was huge, clean, and odorless, with good amenities. We could control the curtains, lights, and air conditioning by voice. The bathroom was also clean and odorless, and the water temperature was perfect. The vanity area and toilet were separate, which was convenient for two people. The village is very quiet, and as long as there's no construction nearby, the owner can provide transfers to the beach. There's also a famous 'Village Bar Old Coffee' right next to their place. The breakfast was prepared by a nice lady from the north working at the guesthouse. We were in a hurry to leave, so they even packed our afternoon tea for us. The complimentary travel photography session also went as scheduled, though there was a bit of upselling involved. The owner helped me with my luggage all the way to the car. My husband used to dislike staying in guesthouses, but he was very satisfied this time. In the end, we regretted only booking one night and will definitely be back again."

"Facilities: Extremely well-equipped. The washing machine and refrigerator are absolutely essential in a tropical coastal city. It was so convenient to just toss our swimsuits into the washing machine after a dip in the sea every day. The guesthouse even provided small packets of laundry detergent, which was more than enough. It was also great to have a fridge for storing fruits and desserts we bought. The TV is large and supports screen mirroring, which is fantastic. The air conditioning is powerful too. We could use the pools and water park at the Legend Seaview Hotel, which is a great perk. Unfortunately, the water park wasn't open in June, but the pool was still very good. Environment: Absolutely beautiful. The balcony view is exceptional, with double-sided sea views. I wanted to take photos every day, and it really lifted my spirits. For this price, this guesthouse offers incredible value. Service: The housekeeper service is excellent. They respond instantly during working hours and are always ready to help. If something was missing or broken, repairs were done very promptly. An auntie came to clean every day, and the service quality was comparable to a hotel. Hygiene: For a guesthouse, the hygiene was already very good. However, I have a few suggestions: First, because the air by the sea is humid, the carpets in the bedroom tend to develop a musty smell if the windows aren't open for a while, and they're difficult to maintain. Dry flooring would be cleaner. It would be great if the carpet could be removed. Second, upon check-in, we found a bit of old food residue in the refrigerator 😂. It would be good to improve the cleanliness of food storage areas like the fridge. Third, perhaps because the entire building consists of apartments with kitchens, we found large cockroaches every day during our stay (for someone from the north, they truly seemed big). However, after asking the cleaning auntie to increase the dosage of cockroach killer, the ones we found afterward were basically dead. Aside from these three points, I was quite satisfied with the guesthouse's hygiene. Location: It's on Rongchuang Peninsula, where there are plenty of dining and shopping options. There are also many shuttle buses to the beach, which is very convenient. However, food and drinks on the island are a bit pricier. We rented an electric scooter and sometimes went to the village for meals and to buy fruit."

"I absolutely love the waves! It was so cozy and comfortable staying alone, with everything I could possibly want! The owner and the volunteer ladies were super nice. Even though I was traveling alone, I felt cared for. ❤️ There's also an open-air cinema in the evening, and the atmosphere is just amazing! I came here to surf, so I signed up for a surfing lesson with Mr. Xia. He drove me back and forth, and after surfing, I could just go back to my room and shower. After two lessons, I overcame my fear of the water and was able to stand up and surf for a while. My first time surfing was like a whirlwind. Everything was perfect! I fell in love with surfing and will definitely be back!"

"I was truly pleasantly surprised! As a newly opened hotel in 2025, the facilities are all brand new, and the overall style is a simple yet elegant smart resort. I booked a king room, which was spacious and bright. The smart room control system was super convenient; you could open and close the curtains and lights with a simple voice command. The mattress was zero-pressure! The hotel's outdoor pool is gorgeous and perfect for taking photos. The front desk even provides free hats, sunglasses, and other photo props. • It's about a 5-minute drive to Shenzhou Peninsula Lighthouse. • Qiaohai Ranch is within walking distance; wearing a white dress makes for great photos. Electric scooters are readily available nearby, and it's a 10-minute bike ride to Shenzhou Peninsula Beach. The service was excellent; the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and responsive, making for a very pleasant check-in and check-out experience. Overall, this hotel offers good value for money and is suitable for those who want a quiet vacation but also convenient transportation. If you're visiting Wanning and looking for a comfortable and beautiful place to stay near Shenzhou Peninsula, Bandao Huayang is a great choice."
