"Absolutely a miserable experience with the property and the management company Vacasa. We arrived to a huge swarm of flying insects (termites?) on the picture window which were obviously overlooked by the cleaning people. We tried to get someone to the cottage, and found an on-site manager who sprayed 1/2 can of raid on the window, which caused an immediate allergic reaction to my travelling companion. We called the Vacasa management, who said their maintenance tech was an hour away, and they tried but couldn't find a replacement property for us. We left an hour and a half later when we were told that the tech was still 30 minutes from the property. It was late Friday afternoon on a summer weekend and we were in town to attend a funeral. We were desperate for a place to stay, and could only find an inn 25 minutes away who required a 3 night minimum. Despite repeated calls and texts to Vacasa, they refused to give us any kind of refund or compensation for our troubles. Last time we will ever book a Vacasa home again, and we certainly would not recommend anyone stay at Sebago Lake Lodge & Cottages."
