"They have a nice bathhouse in the basement. Capsules do feel a bit small. Lockers are small, but you can put your stuff in your capsule or outside of it. Would book again, it's an authentic Japanese experience."

"✨ A Hidden Gem in Ikebukero This place is a rare find in a great location. Depending on which metro line you take, it’s about a 10–15 min walk from the station (C1 exit). The street is quite narrow, so large vehicles can’t enter. If you’re taking a taxi or shuttle, you’ll need to get dropped off nearby. The reception staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived early, and they allowed us to store our luggage safely—plenty of space provided. The accommodation runs on an AirBnB-style concept, with shared kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas. A washing machine is available for free use, and the dryer costs only 100 yen for 30 minutes. We booked a triple-sharing ensuite room with 3 futons, strong air-conditioning, and enough space to open our luggage comfortably. It’s cosy but perfect for three guests. Since it’s a shared-style accommodation, guests are encouraged to keep quiet and respect others. Overall, it’s simple, clean, and comfortable—great value if you’re looking for a home-like stay in the heart of Ikebukero."

"Oh, I forgot to mention something in my last review: sometimes booking separate nights can be cheaper than a continuous multi-night reservation. I stayed a total of 5 nights across 3 different bookings. For my Tokyo trip, the absolute highlight was staying at this all-female hostel – it's truly the best of its kind! It was my first time staying in a capsule hotel, and this entire 9-story building is dedicated to women. 1. **Convenient Location**: It's just a few minutes' walk from Shimbashi and Shiodome subway stations, with FamilyMart and 7-Eleven nearby. 2. **Capsule Pod**: It was much bigger than I expected! 1.3 meters wide and 2 meters long. I chose an upper bunk, and at 1.75 meters tall, I could sit up straight without my head touching the ceiling – I was very pleased! The pillow and mattress were comfortable too; I prefer firmer pillows and bedding. 3. **Communal Bathing Area**: Located on the 8th floor, you need to take off your shoes and enter barefoot. I was surprised to see so many long-haired women, yet there was hardly any hair on the floor; it was kept very clean! After a long day of walking, being able to sit down to shower and then soak in the artificial hot spring bath to relax was pure bliss! There were also many different toiletries to choose from, and the hairdryers were Refa – my hair felt so smooth afterwards. The hair oil smelled lovely, and I enjoyed using the peach-scented Johnson's body lotion. 4. **Communal Lounge**: On the 9th floor, there are tables for working. Free drinks are available 24 hours a day, free popcorn and waffles (motion-activated, quite cool!) are available after 5 PM, free ramen after 7 PM, and free curry rice in the mornings. There are also free massage chairs in the lounge, which was fantastic!"

"The room for 2 is really compact as once you put the futon bed the walk space become very very limited plus the luggage gotta close back otherwise no place to put the futon bed. More suitable for solo travellers. Besides that, during winter season, the share toilet is too cold as the hotel corridor & toilet do not have heater to warm the area. Overall, it is consider cheap & just nice for budget travellers."

Satisfy your appetite at the hostel's coffee shop/cafe, or stop in at the snack bar/deli. Quench your thirst with your favorite drink at the bar/lounge. Cooked-to-order breakfasts are available daily from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM for a fee. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Bathrooms feature showers, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. Conveniences include phones, as well as laptop-compatible safes and blackout drapes/curtains.

"The first floor of this hostel is dedicated to the public area and restaurant, the second and third floors are the gym, and the two floors above are the rest areas. However, there are no showers in the rest area on the fourth floor; showers are only available on the upper floors, requiring an elevator or stairs to access them, which is inconvenient. The ladder to the upper warehouse is incredibly annoying. The two protruding handles scraped against my shirt, and I wasn't paying attention as I was descending the stairs, causing it to rip (sad). The stairs are also incredibly narrow. Having stayed in many hostels, this one is truly counterintuitive. Furthermore, the ceiling is clearly made of concrete and pipes, undisguised. Perhaps due to the price, this hostel doesn't provide a free toothbrush or slippers, which require purchase. However, since I already had them, it wasn't a big deal. However, I do think this hostel has a positive point: there's no check-in, so you can leave your luggage early. The check-out time is 11:00 PM, which is very convenient compared to many hostels in Japan. Another personal point: the service at this place varies greatly from person to person. One woman was so lazy during check-in that she seemed nonchalant. Another man was even more indifferent, almost dismissive. However, one man was very welcoming and spoke excellent English. He patiently offered to explain more. When I checked out, he even held the door open for me. I really thought the service was excellent and gave him a thumbs-up. I'd definitely go back if I had the chance."

"Very convenient location, within a three-minute walk from Asakusa-bashi Station. It's quiet because it's a small road. Although the hotel is an old facility, it's clean and tidy. There's someone at the front desk until 1 a.m., and you need to leave your keys at the front desk every time you go out, which is more secure. The lady boss is very nice and gave us some snacks."

"It seemed that we were the only couple staying in the house a few days ago, so it was very quiet and felt very good. After a few couples came in the next two days, the house became noisy. People came and went in the morning and evening, and the corridors in the rooms were very crowded, so the experience was down, otherwise it would be a perfect score, although the washing machine and dryer cost money and were very noisy. The staff was very enthusiastic and allowed to store luggage in advance. The house was not in the main building, but in a corner ten meters away from the next door. The house is located as shown in the picture. The recommended index is full in the off-season, and it is halved in the peak season."

GGuest UserCame back after three days in South Korea so this was technically my second time staying here! Perfect for what I needed—a place to sleep and come back to after a day of exploring. Very friendly staff who were kind and helpful. This time, I had a large piece of luggage (bike box) and they were kind enough to let me put it in the hallway for one night. I also liked that I was able to have my luggage picked up right at Hotel Palace Japan by a luggage delivery service (Airporter) and sent to the airport on the same day. These were really helpful things for my last few days in Japan. The laundry was efficient but I wish there was a place to hang my clothes to dry (the balcony doesn’t have places to hang laundry). The only thing I wish were different was that the closet in my room seemed like something wet was placed there for a long time, so it smelled a little bit mildewy but acceptable. The first room I stayed in didn’t have this problem. When I come back to Tokyo, this will definitely be the place I stay again.

CChenge@This was my first time traveling abroad, my first time traveling alone, and my first time flying solo. The front desk staff here speak English, everyone is very friendly, and the environment is super clean. Everyone is very considerate, and everywhere is spotless. Waiting for the washing machine on the rooftop at night while sipping a soda really hit the spot. For an introvert like me, it was incredibly comfortable. I'll definitely be back next time!

Overall, an excellent and well-equipped home base for a group of friends. Highly recommend!

XxooiI've stayed here twice, both before and after my trip to Mount Fuji. It's incredibly convenient. There's also a bus to Narita Airport, and you can buy tickets on Klook, which isn't expensive. The bus stop is just a 10-minute walk away, which is great. This time, I took the train and got off at Ueno Station. Next time I come to Japan, I'll definitely stay here again. It's so much more convenient.

EErick858If you’re looking for an affordable stay that puts you steps away from buzzing restaurants and nightlife, this small hotel is a perfect pick. It’s light on frills but heavy on convenience, offering a no-fuss base for explorers who want to spend more on experiences than accommodations.   Tucked into a lively neighborhood, it’s surrounded by a number of cafes, restaurants, bars and convenience stores—all within a 1-2 minute walk, basically everything is right at your doorstep. The area feels vibrant but safe, with popular temples and public transit (a metro station just 5-10 minutes away) makes it easy to venture farther afield.   The hotel is room was small and compact but spotless, with a comfortable bed, AC ,curtains, and a sleek ensuite bathroom (hot shower + good water pressure!).The basics like a TV, free Wi-Fi, and a small desk were provided. The lack of clutter and modern minimalist design made the space feel fresh, not cramped. The bed is just good enough for two regular adults and a small kids. While amenities are limited, they cover the essentials: 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and free amenities refills at the front desk. The staff were friendly and efficient. They offered quick check-in/out, and delivered fresh towels to our door in the morning.

RRagnarI really enjoyed this hotel. This was my first time in a capsule hotel, and it is better than the common western hostels. More privacy, better luxury. I enjoyed the bathroom and the amenities (slippers, bathrobe). My favourite thing about this hotel was its 70-80s style. There were still old telephones, old capsules and elevators from 40 years ago throughout the building. I really appreciated that, since I am especially interested in Japanese history during that period (the boom). Last but not least, I also noticed then good connection to the city center (about 1 hour by metro to the castle) and its proximity to the Tokyo Skytree (only a few stations).

HhzzxIt seems that many people will be confused about the situation, there is basically no staff on duty here, so if you want to store your luggage early, you need to leave your luggage outside the hostel door, later someone will help you move your luggage closer to the hostel. The hostel is located in a small building, you need to take the elevator up to the fourth floor, the other floors do not belong to the space of the hostel, only the fourth floor only one floor, upon arrival you can see the electronically locked door. Both outside and indoor space is very small, but very clean and comfortable, for me who is only one hundred and fifty in height actually the space size is just right. There is a refrigerator, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, toilet paper, clothes hanger, full-body mirror, free internet available, although the space is small but very complete.

Fflorat****Extremely close to Senso-ji Temple, with convenient access to supermarkets, restaurants, and shopping malls within the Asakusa commercial district. The hostel has a great vibe, mostly occupied by Westerners. You can cook your own meals, and the quad room was quite spacious. At 600 yuan, it offers excellent value for money. Although bathrooms and showers are shared, there was rarely a queue. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

GGuest UserIt's close to the subway station, and you can also get off near JR Yotsuya. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby. However, the cleanliness inside the hotel isn't great. It's an economical choice for a one-night stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for multiple days. If you need to use a locker, you'll have to pay a deposit which is refunded upon return. For guests departing before 7 AM, you might not be able to get your deposit back as the front desk is only staffed from 7 AM to 11 PM. The shower room wasn't very clean either.
