"Pros: 1) Separate floors for women and men; this floor is exclusively for women, which felt very safe. 2) The room was relatively quiet, and the owner provided guidelines, including a rule against using hair dryers after 11 PM (though someone still used one that night – there's always a bad apple). 3) Slippers were provided at the entrance, and the bunk also had a towel and disposable toiletries, which was a thoughtful touch. 4) The owner also provided detailed photo and text directions via WeChat, making the hostel easy to find. Cons: 1) The bathroom was directly across from the six-bed dorm room (the yellow curtain in picture 1 shows the dorm on the left and the bathroom on the right). The bathroom doesn't have a main door, so whenever someone used it, the flushing sound was clearly audible in the two adjacent rooms. I heard intermittent flushing at past 1 AM, and even heard my bunkmate sigh. (Obviously, you can't restrict bathroom use, but the owner could consider improving soundproofing.) 2) As soon as I opened my room door in the morning, I smelled a strong odor from the bathroom across the hall. It was quite off-putting (again, likely due to the bathroom lacking a main door). 3) The shower room also doesn't have a main door and is right next to another room. If someone showers late at night, the splashing can be quite noisy."

It was a stay with very clear pros and cons. First, let's talk about the room's strengths, which was the most satisfying part of this stay. The room was incredibly spacious, with no cramped or stuffy feeling. Whether traveling alone or with companions, there was more than enough room to move around. The overall cleanliness of the room was excellent; the floors, tables, bedding, and bathroom areas were all spotless, with no stains, dust, or strange odors. Attention to detail was evident. The indoor lighting and ventilation were great; the windows were clear, providing ample natural light during the day, making the room bright and airy with good air circulation, preventing any stuffiness. Additionally, the mattress and pillows were just right – not too soft, not too firm – and the furniture arrangement was practical. The overall living comfort was good, perfectly meeting the needs for daily rest or a temporary stay. The hardware conditions are quite outstanding for accommodations in this price range. Upon arrival, I found that there were a lot of guests checking in, and the front desk had a long, dense queue. We waited in the lobby for a very long time, which was a significant drain on time and energy, especially waiting with luggage. This greatly diminished the experience. During peak hours, with many guests, it's easy for people to pile up in queues and experience congested waiting times, which is very unfriendly to travelers who are on a tight schedule and want to check in quickly to rest. In summary, the hotel's room hardware, hygiene, and living comfort are commendable, making for a very good living experience. However, the excessively long wait during peak check-in times dragged down the overall check-in experience."

"This hotel is quite old, probably over a decade, but the facilities are decent for the price. The main advantage is its proximity to Hohhot Station, which makes getting around very convenient. However, because it's an older hotel, many facilities are showing their age. For example, the toilet flush button requires a strong push to work, and one of the power outlets near the bed is loose, so my phone charger kept falling out."

"The room was clean and the service was good. The location was excellent. There was free parking and it was very convenient to go anywhere. There is a shaomai shop behind the hotel that is very delicious. Next time I go to Hohhot, I will stay at this hotel. The price is very affordable."

"The hotel was quite clean. There was a slight smell of old c smoke in the room, but it didn’t bother me too much. I slept very well and had a comfortable stay. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. It is very close to the railway station, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, including McDonald’s. Since I was traveling by train, the location was perfect for me. For one night and at this price, I was happy to find this hotel. Overall, it was a good stay. Thank you!"

"Pros: Excellent location, it nearby the metro and many bus stops, and it’s easy to find especially with the hostel’s help (so text them in advance!). The room itself was great and the hostel provided: bed sheets, a towel, tooth brush and tooth paste, slippers, a fan, and some cups. In the bathroom you can find shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, hand soap and most importantly toilet paper (sometimes). There’s also a water boiler and a washer. I like the concept of do-it-yourself here, which is made possible by the hostel. Cons: There is only one toilet and shower which are in the same room so finding the right time to use it may be a challenge. Additionally, the toilet is a squat and usually smelled really bad so beware! Only trash cans in the hostel are the ones by the door entrance and bathroom."

"The hotel has a parking lot right at the entrance and a small restaurant that serves a decent breakfast. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant, located in a residential area. However, the cleanliness was terrible. It was dusty, and I started itching all over. Upon inspection, I found a lot of dust on the windows. I used tissues and towels to wipe them repeatedly, thinking it would solve the itching. But the next day, around 5 AM, I woke up with my whole body itching again. I went to the front desk around 6 AM on June 29th to explain the situation. The female attendant, who was quite large, was evasive and tried to shirk responsibility. First, she claimed I must have opened the window, letting the dust in. Then, she tried to downgrade my room from a 100+ yuan room with a window to a 90+ yuan room on the ground floor with no window. Seeing this, I told her I had taken photos and would complain. Only then did she agree to move me to a room of the same standard, from 322 to 302. It's outrageous that after a service issue, they tried to avoid responsibility and even downgrade my room! There was absolutely no sense of customer service, and they tried to take advantage of the situation by downgrading the room type! A little later, I asked this same attendant to swipe my card to extend my stay. She didn't say a single word, just swiped the card and dropped it on the counter, again without a sound. It was as if my itching and needing a room change was my fault and had offended this 'important' front desk person! Her service attitude was truly awful! I have a video as proof, showing me using tissues and towels to wipe the windows, the bedside phone, the nightstand, the corners of the bed frame, the window glass, and the window sill. The white paper turned black, and the towels turned black. It was so dirty! However, after changing rooms, the new room was relatively clean, and I stayed for two more nights. In summary, the hotel is generally good, offering good value for money, breakfast, and parking. The main downsides are the lack of attention to detail in cleanliness and sloppy work. And the attitude of some front desk staff is poor. When I complained about the poor hygiene and requested a room change, the attendant was unfriendly, tried to shirk responsibility by blaming me for opening the window and letting dust in – are you not allowed to open windows if a room has them? – and then tried to downgrade my room to one without a window! They didn't admit to the poor hygiene and tried to take advantage of the customer. The service attitude was extremely bad!"

"I stayed for three consecutive nights, and overall, it was a good experience. Most importantly, it was quiet at night, allowing for a great rest. The hotel is very close to both the train station and the subway station, making transportation convenient – a key factor for travelers. My suggestions: The bath towels and hand towels aren't very absorbent and should be replaced. The water pressure on the sixth floor is too low and needs improvement. It would also be great to add disposable toilet seat covers and tissues."
