"Perfect location, lovely hosts, beautiful room with vintage furniture and super soft blanket! Very authentic. During the day time it’s super loud because of the amount of tourists, but staying in this place gives you unique opportunity to explain the town in the very early morning or very late evening (the lights switch off at 23:00).
The room can seem small, but it’s old town, it can’t be different:)
Unfortunately there was no tea provided, that’s sad for tea-famous country, maybe should be improved. Other than that – my stay was amazing☺️"

"We're a super fun-loving group! We entered the scenic area after 5 PM, so we got in for free. First, we enjoyed the beautiful night view of Zhouzhuang. The next day, we left all our belongings at the guesthouse and explored the scenic area freely – we're so clever! The guesthouse was very clean, well-equipped, and quite new. The owner was also very kind. It was truly perfect!"

"First of all, the quality service of this hotel does reflect that it is a Chinese residence.
But its facilities make people feel the sense of history, vicissitudes, and age of the Huazhu Club. The room decoration is very general. There is no lg commercial washing and drying cover, which is domestically produced. Three washing machines have a drying function and no independent heat pump dryer. The air conditioner is Gree hangs up, the lights are also very general, there are no electric curtains. The mattress will ring when it turns over, not a separate spring. There is a hand-held nozzle in the shower room, no top spray (everyone pays special attention). The noodles for breakfast should be cooked by yourself.
But it is 220 a night, you get what you pay for, but since then it has been confirmed that Huazhu Club can not choose without brains. If you want to be comfortable, you should choose the whole season with a high price."

"Stayed for a week for something. The room was clean and tidy. The girl at the front desk was enthusiastic and careful, which left a deep impression on me. The breakfast is also good. Rice porridge, noodles, bread, milk, fruits and stir-fried vegetables can meet normal needs. There is free hand-made coffee, and the auntie is also very enthusiastic and asks if you need cleaning every day. There are also many restaurants around. In short, it is worth recommending!"

Great value for money! The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient with check-in. It's an excellent choice for business travelers or those on a budget. I'll definitely choose this place again next time.

GGuest UserBefore going, remember to add the owner of the hotel to WeChat! The boss will send the parking lot location, and it takes about 5 minutes to walk from the West Parking Lot to the B&B. But we came directly from work at night. Some were late. We needed to walk through a country road without lights. We were still a little scared. It should be possible to take the road, it is convenient to map, it is really convenient. I will enter the scenic spot soon. After 9 o'clock in the evening, before 7 o'clock in the morning, no tickets are required.
Facilities: Hard board bed, not used to sleeping, but husband especially likes it.
Hygienic: Very clean, that is, the family room we live in, the bathroom has no exhaust, and the taste is a bit heavy.
Environment: Very close to the scenic spot, there are also flower alleys and rain alley light shows near the hotel at night.
Service: The store is very polite and communicates smoothly before going. When I arrived, I told the store that the store turned on the air conditioner for us in time, which was very intimate.

The owner was very helpful, even carried my suitcases on the cobble streets.
I was surprised as there were not many people out at night, even though the ancient town is very pretty at night. The owner recommended a restaurant but I don't recommend eating in the town as its very expensive. If you want to try the local dishes, go to Suzhou city it's a lot cheaper. I had a squirrel fish with cost over 200rmb and the same dish was only 130rmb in Suzhou.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse, set in a traditional 'Sanheyuan' (three-sided courtyard) structure, offered an incredibly authentic and delightful experience. Despite being surrounded by commercial activity, it was a surprisingly quiet and rustic retreat, truly an oasis of calm in the bustling city. The rooms were clean, hygienic, and well-equipped. A major plus was the breakfast provided, and you could also order lunch or dinner at very reasonable prices, with delicious food. Dining outdoors by the river was particularly charming. Even when busy, the owner maintained an excellent, thoughtful demeanor. Traveling with elderly parents, the owner proactively offered pick-up and drop-off services, which was incredibly heartwarming and thoughtful.

GGuest UserFeeling a bit stressed lately, I decided to take a trip to Zhouzhuang. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming. The guesthouse is conveniently located right within the scenic area and is absolutely beautiful. Sometimes, while sitting on the swing chair on the balcony, lost in thought, I even started to feel like I could retire there. The sky, free from towering skyscrapers, was absolutely breathtaking! It truly cleansed my troubled mind and washed away all my worries!

The floor of the room is new marble (most floors of the Chinese hotels are wooden)and its interior is extremely clean and luxuriously decorated (from my years of travel experience in China I would say)

Because it is located within the Village, finding the hotel might take time;I would recommend you call the hotel manager upon arrival of the Village, and she will meet you where you are, which she did for me..

XXinamamaThe boss and his family who changed to live here temporarily in the middle of the night were very enthusiastic. Xixi and Mumu were more enthusiastic and came directly to my room happy and very clingy. The child is very happy and I am happier. It rains and the aunt also helps me to bring the drying clothes in. SStanley The Travel ManI arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner. I didn’t and still don’t have an eSIM that can make local call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free. I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands. I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.
I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop to Suzhou which was my next destination.
This operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.
After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge . If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass. Do check with the owner for up to date information.
The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.
Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. . There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy. It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances.
The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.
This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.
I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket.
