The PENSÃO CARMEN provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The PENSÃO CARMEN offers a pleasant stay in Macau for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is conveniently located a short 9km drive from Macau International Airport. The closest major public transportation, Barra Metro Station, is only 2km away. There's plenty to do nearby, with Travessa da Paixao, POLY MGM MUSEUM and Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 all within a short distance. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling alone.

"If you consider booking Pensao Carmen, you should know that on the signage of the hotel it’s NOT Pensao Carmen! Remember that, otherwise you’re gonna have a hard time looking for this place)) I’ll add photos of the actual signage. Pros: conveniently located in Macau’s old town, it takes around 10 minutes to get to The Ruins of St.Paul on foot, and all other historical sites are just around. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even if they didn’t speak English at all. I met the three of them and all were old ladies, super nice and cute. I left my luggage after check-out for the whole day before moving to Coloane village hotel. The bed sheets were of good quality and very clean, I enjoyed my sleep after a tiring flight. The bed, though, was kinda hard, not for everyone, but my back was grateful)) pillows were also comfortable, better than at some much more expensive hotels. You can get as much water as you want from the water station at the corridor. There’s a bus station 5 minutes walking from the hotel, the name is Ponte 16, it’s right in front of the famous Sofitel. CONS: The hotel is located on the second floor, there’s no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up there. My room was tiny, it’s really just for one person. The bed is kinda short, for me it was enough but I think a taller person might not feel comfortable enough there (my height is 162 cm) The bathroom is tiny, too, and given its dark green design, it looks rather dirty. I’m not sure if it was, but I found someone’s tooth brush in the shower and some hair in the drainage. Yuck!! Only one big towel was clean though. All in all, I didn’t expect much from it so neither should you 🤩"

"This hotel is located in a residential area, about a 10-minute walk to St. Paul's Ruins and around 3 minutes to Rua de Cinco de Outubro. There are many bus routes nearby, making it very convenient for getting around. The hotel is surrounded by small local eateries, so you can easily have all three meals there. We had breakfast at Nam Ping Cafe on Rua de Cinco de Outubro, and it was delicious, especially the 'Sha Weng' bread. I'd definitely consider staying there again on my next trip to experience local life."

"The hotel is very strategic for taking the bus in Macau. You only need to prepare small change of 6 Mop per ride. From the hotel, you can go to the ruins of St. Paul, it's also close, it takes about 15 minutes to walk. If you want to go to the HKG Macau border, you can take bus no. 101 (from the hotel, exit n, turn right, then see the traffic lights, cross the road and see bus stop 101). If you want to go to venetian exit the hotel, turn left and take the bus."

The PENSÃO ELEGANTE (BARRA) is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The PENSÃO ELEGANTE (BARRA) offers a pleasant stay in Macau for those traveling for business or leisure. "The hotel's location is a bit tucked away. It was my first time visiting Macau with my child, and for this price, it was very affordable, so I didn't have high expectations. Macau has a lot of small streets, and even with navigation, I got lost. The road was so narrow that I initially thought I was going the wrong way. I was a bit surprised when I finally found it after circling back. Check-in is at 3 PM, and they were quite strict about not allowing early check-in. We left our luggage and went out to explore. We checked in around 4 PM. The room size was just right, and honestly, I found nothing wrong with it. It even had windows that could open, which isn't usually the case in Hong Kong. The facilities are on the smaller side, but everything you need is there, and it's quite good. We even managed to fit a large suitcase. They charged a 100 deposit, which was returned on check-out day."

"The hotel's location is great, making it super easy to get to the Ruins of St. Paul's. The light rail station is just a few steps away, and it's only an 8-minute ride to Parisian Macao. "This hotel is perfectly located in Macau's Taipa, right by Rua do Cunha. It's a fantastic spot – lively but still quiet. You can hop on a bus, get off at Rua do Cunha station, and it's just a 60-meter walk, directly opposite the street's entrance. There are tons of places to eat and drink here, plus many great photo opportunities. A big plus is that you don't need a power adapter; 220V works fine, and they even provide charging cables for both Apple and Huawei devices. The rooms are quite spacious, with a wardrobe, toiletries, and disposable slippers. There's a water dispenser outside where you can get hot water. If you're heading to places like the Venetian, you can take a pleasant walk from Dragon Bay Park (Longwan Pu Yun) – it's also a beautiful spot for photos."

"I stayed for three nights. The hosts was polite, the room was clean. The bed linen and the towels were disposable, there were shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. No hair dryer was provided :( The location is super - it is in the old town and it takes a couple of minutes to get to the sights. If I stayed in Macau again, I would choose this hotel"

Greenery inn is located on the Macau Peninsula, with a superior geographical location and convenient transportation. Adjacent to major tourist hotspots in Macau, only 400m away from the border gate and only 500m away from Qingmao border. There is free Wi-Fi in the hotel and luggage storage service for guests. The hotel provides guests with air-conditioned rooms with a desk, an electric kettle, a refrigerator, a safety deposit box, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with shower facilities. Popular attractions near Greenery inn: Lin Fung Temple, Lin Zexu Memorial Museum, Sun Yat-sen Municipal Park, and Templo de Kun Iam Tong.

"Macau isn't large, only about 20km from north to south, but it's home to countless people. The dense old buildings on the peninsula and the opulent hotels in Cotai each offer their own unique charm. Choosing Green Valley Hotel as my base in Macau this time was quite a pleasant surprise. Macau has many hotels; the cheaper ones tend to be old and run-down, while the nicer ones are often pricey. Plus, with frequent events and competitions, it can be hard to find a room at all. Green Valley Hotel, however, perfectly balances a great experience with excellent value for money. Getting good rest when you're traveling is fundamental to enjoying your trip."

"I didn't have high expectations for hotels in Macau to begin with, especially since this one was only a little over 300 a night, and I planned to be out all day. But it turned out to be better than I expected! The room was small, but it had everything I needed, including toiletries, a kettle, and disposable slippers. You'll need an adapter for Hong Kong/Macau plugs here. The bathroom wasn't big but had a good wet/dry separation. It was very quiet at night. Right outside the hotel entrance is the Star Mouth bus stop, with buses to all the attractions and back to the border gate. The hotel service was excellent. There's a lobby area with sofas, and we were able to store our luggage at the hotel after checking out at 12 PM the next day. Downstairs, there's a small residential garden with lots of food options. It's very close to the Sir Robert Ho Tung Library, and you can easily walk to Senado Square and Grand Lisboa."

"I was really impressed by the hotel's attention to detail! The soundproofing in the room was excellent; the double-glazed windows completely blocked out outside noise, so even light sleepers can get a good night's rest. There were plenty of charging outlets by the bed, and the lighting was adjustable, making it comfortable for both working and relaxing. The breakfast offered a rich variety, with fresh fruits and freshly made pastries, and the ingredients were clearly fresh and not just an afterthought. The cleaning staff were very meticulous with their daily tidying, even cleaning the small crevices on the desk, which made my stay feel incredibly reassuring."

GGuest UserIt was our second stay at this hotel and we are satisfied with it. It is clean, beds are comfortable, there are toiletries, 2 complimentary water bottles, a kettle, mini fridge, there's a TV, too (but this time we couldn't find the remote anywhere in the room.) It goes without saying that there are towels and slippers in the toilet. I'll book it again for sure. It is also close to the Senado Square and Grand Lisboa Hotel. There are a few bus stops nearby, too.

MM11016****This hotel is an absolute no-brainer for value! The location is truly unbeatable, right in the heart of Senado Square. It's less than 400 meters on foot to Largo do Senado, making it super convenient to get to the Ruins of St. Paul's and Grand Lisboa. The area is packed with authentic local eateries and shopping streets, and getting to all the Macau attractions is a breeze. The rooms are decorated in a refreshing white and green palette, very clean and hygienic. The bathroom even has a dry/wet separation, showing great attention to detail. For an economy hotel, the price in Macau is incredibly reasonable. Plus, the 24-hour front desk offers luggage storage, and the service is very thoughtful.

TTakahiro Kawasaki 1981The hotel offers a warm atmosphere and thoughtful hospitality. I stayed at this hotel for one night during my trip through Korea, Macau, and Hong Kong. The room was spacious enough for a solo traveler, and everything—from the room itself to the shower room and toilet—was kept very clean and well maintained. I believe this hotel is a safe and comfortable choice even for Japanese travelers who may not have much experience traveling abroad. All of the front desk staff were friendly and attentive. In particular, Ella was extremely helpful. When I checked out, I needed to go to the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal to travel to Hong Kong, and she kindly explained which bus to take and also helped arrange a taxi(I actually missed a bus)I truly appreciate her support, and our interaction became a memorable part of my stay. I would be happy to choose this hotel again on my next visit to Macau.

YyramegevLocation is great if you’re planning to visit popular tourist spots. Cleanliness was well maintained too — the toilet was spotless. However, the check-in experience was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. ========== (TL;DR) Imagine you had to experience this after a 4 hours flight ========== The young female receptionist I encountered on arrival handled things very poorly. She kept insisting she couldn’t find my booking, smiling the entire time as if it were a joke. Instead of checking properly herself, she kept handing me random printed bookings, one after another, asking me if any of them were mine. It honestly felt like I was doing her job. If the names were even slightly similar to mine, I would understand. But she passed me almost every booking she had in her hands, including ones with clearly Japanese or ********* names that were nowhere close to mine. I even asked her, “So does that mean I’m supposed to sleep on the streets tonight?” Yet she still giggled, with zero sense of apology or urgency. It made me wonder if she had ever been trained in basic customer service or professional ethics. Eventually, she finally handed me the correct booking with my name. But even then, after I confirmed it was mine, she said, “I gave you this earlier and you said it wasn’t yours.” Like… excuse me? You’ve been passing me completely unrelated bookings the whole time?! I initially wanted to rate the service 1 star, but I added one more because the hotel cleaner left a good impression, the cleaner auntie was polite and attentive. ================================================================================ Facilities: The TV in my room was broken, so I’m guessing it was just for decoration. Ventilation also seemed poorly designed. Despite booking a non-smoking room, I was woken up early in the morning by cigarette smoke seeping in from outside my door. Not recommended for light sleepers either, as the soundproofing is weak. I could clearly hear people talking outside, though I’m not sure if they were in the corridor or inside another room.

AAnonymous UserEverything was pretty good, including the cleanliness and environment. The only thing I found a bit hard to understand was the deposit situation; they don't accept electronic payments. I really think they should clearly state the deposit amount and payment methods (cash or credit card) prominently on the homepage. I didn't notice this when booking and ended up not having enough cash on hand.

CChenchendemeihaoshenghuoI chose the Hou Kong Hotel this time and was very satisfied. You can take bus 25 from The Venetian to Shui Kang Mei, and the hotel is right across the road. The soundproofing is excellent; with the windows closed, you barely hear a thing. A special thanks to the two front desk staff, Picky and Edie, who were very kind, enthusiastic, and had a great attitude! There are also plenty of dining options around the hotel!

GGuest UserStayed for one night on the first day of Chinese New Year. This was the cheapest room I could find on Trip.com. For a family of three, the price and experience were pretty good. The auntie and uncle at the front desk were very helpful and communicative. We were able to store our luggage for free, which was great as we could check out in the morning and then go shopping nearby. They were also proactive in offering assistance whenever needed.

KKHNSMXThis hotel IS ACTUALLY VERY GOOD! Spotless with very strategic locations. But if you’re non smokers and allergic to cigarettes smoke, DON’T EVER THINK ABOUT staying here. It’s a small hotel and the rooms are quite small with narrow hallways. That’s not an issue but most guests are SMOKING IN THEIR ROOM and the smell is SOO STRONG. I never had a sleep for two nights straight. That’s really UNFAIR. I paid just like any other guests but I couldn’t enjoy my rights for a peaceful comfortable sleep. Not even an hour! Mind you, this is a non-smoking hotel. Signs are everywhere with fines of MOP 1500 for violations. But people are still smoking cuz the policy isn’t really enforced. It’s just formality. I really wanted to check out after one night but unfortunately the booking couldn’t be modified or refunded. So, I had no choice but to suffocate from the smell of cigarettes. However, I have to appreciate the staff hospitality especially the guy whom I reported the issue. He tried to find me a better room but unfortunately none was available. Well at least he tried and he apologized for what happened. This is really commendable. But as a hotel, it could do better by strictly enforcing the policy of non smoking. It shouldn’t be hard to identify the guests who smoke.

GGuest UserWe stayed for two nights. We did know that they only provide disposal towels so we brought our own. What we did not expect was disposable bed sheets (pic). It was very uncomfortable feeling on the skin, made me sweat like crazy probably because of the plastic like fabric. It also ripped during the first night, I expected it to get exchanged when they bring new water (it’s very common to get two water bottles per night) but it didn’t. So we were left with the ripped disposable sheets and the actual blanket came through. That made me think how often that must have happened before: the people start to sweat (macau is warm and kinda humid) into the actual blanket which is probably never cleaned because of the disposable sheets. Next guests the same thing happens, so basically everyone is sleeping under the same blanket. Doesn’t seem very hygienic to me. Also the bed was very hard (even for Asian standards). My partner and I are both under 25 and had back pain the next morning. The whole hotel and also the room was very humid, smelled like cigarettes/cigar and you can’t open any windows, not even partially. Otherwise it does look like the pictures and the rest of the room/bath was clean except for the smell and probably the bed. Also the location is very convenient. If I wanted to visit macau again I would probably get a hotel in Zhuhai (mainland china) which is less expensive and locals told us there is a 24h border control and the whole process only takes about 10min.
