"Throughout my stay, I felt incredibly comfortable and relaxed. From the moment I arrived, there was a natural, easygoing atmosphere that quickly put me at ease and helped me settle in. The location is also ideal – basically everything is within walking distance, and the old town is right nearby, making it super convenient to pop out and explore whenever I wanted. What's more, the guesthouse's cleanliness was truly impressive: it was exceptionally clean and well-organized, with attention to detail evident everywhere. This made me feel particularly secure and comfortable during my stay. Overall, there's absolutely nothing to fault; everything was just perfect. I would gladly recommend this place to others."

"We had a great stay here. The room was bright, clean, and comfortable, new and beautifully designed. The location is central and close to city attractions, restaurants, and stores. And the staff were professional and courteous. The mattress is quite firm. I slept well but my partner disliked it. We would also have preferred normal bath towels instead of the disposable packaged kind provided. Otherwise we were perfectly satisfied, and would still certainly stay again!"

"Enjoyed my stay at Caravel Hotel. Direct bus from Airport. 3min walk from bus stop to hotel. Staff was very friendly, allowed early check-in. 500MOP deposit was collected at check-in, which was promptly refunded a day after check-out. 5min walk to shopping streets which are connected to Ruins of St Paul. Very accessible and convenient, plenty of food options. Room size is sufficient for solo guest. Cleanliness and ammenities were satisfactory. Would stay again."

"This hotel IS ACTUALLY VERY GOOD! Spotless with very strategic locations. But if you’re non smokers and allergic to cigarettes smoke, DON’T EVER THINK ABOUT staying here. It’s a small hotel and the rooms are quite small with narrow hallways. That’s not an issue but most guests are SMOKING IN THEIR ROOM and the smell is SOO STRONG. I never had a sleep for two nights straight. That’s really UNFAIR. I paid just like any other guests but I couldn’t enjoy my rights for a peaceful comfortable sleep. Not even an hour! Mind you, this is a non-smoking hotel. Signs are everywhere with fines of MOP 1500 for violations. But people are still smoking cuz the policy isn’t really enforced. It’s just formality. I really wanted to check out after one night but unfortunately the booking couldn’t be modified or refunded. So, I had no choice but to suffocate from the smell of cigarettes. However, I have to appreciate the staff hospitality especially the guy whom I reported the issue. He tried to find me a better room but unfortunately none was available. Well at least he tried and he apologized for what happened. This is really commendable. But as a hotel, it could do better by strictly enforcing the policy of non smoking. It shouldn’t be hard to identify the guests who smoke."

"This is my second time staying at this hotel. It's right next to the Lower Market and very close to the bus stop, making it convenient to get anywhere. The front desk requires a 100 deposit, and they accept RMB, HKD, or MOP. The decor is relatively new, and the cleanliness is good. I'll consider staying here again next time I'm in Macau."

"The room looks exactly like the photos, so at first I thought everything would be fine. HOWEVER, the curtains stink - the smell is so musty it instantly made the room feel dirty and uncomfortable. The bed and pillows were covered only with DISPOSABLE SHEETS. Honestly, it felt unsettling. I couldn’t tell if the pillows had ever been properly washed, and they even had a smell of their own. The texture of those sheets was disturbing, and the bed itself was rock hard. I woke up with a backache, feeling worse than before I went to sleep. The towels were likewise DISPOSABLE. We had them changed every day. The floor mat in the restroom did not do its job soaking the wet floor. The aircon worked fine, and the location is great. But overall, the stay was unpleasant. This place really needs serious improvement in cleanliness and comfort."

"Facilities: Well-equipped, and the bathroom even has a wet/dry separation. Cleanliness: Excellent, very clean and tidy. Environment: Great environment, easy-to-find hotel location. There's a bus stop nearby, and the Ruins of St. Paul's isn't far. Plenty of food options and supermarkets close by. Service: Good, I'll definitely book here again next time."

"Stayed at Vila Universal for a quick solo trip and honestly, it overdelivered. The room was surprisingly huge for one person, which made it feel more like a small apartment than a budget stay. They set me up in a smoking room as requested, and it was clean, well kept, and didn’t have that stale smell most smoking rooms suffer from. The shower had proper heating, consistent flow, and zero drama. Location is the real flex here. You’re basically a short walk from Senado Square, so going out for food, photos, or a late night wander is effortless. Staff was straightforward, efficient, and didn’t make check in complicated. Overall, it’s practical, comfortable, and extremely convenient for anyone who wants to stay near the historic center without paying a premium. Would stay again."

"This hotel made our Macau trip absolutely fantastic! It's super close to the Gongbei Border, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The room was huge and spotless, and having two bathrooms was a real bonus. They even included breakfast for the next day, and the front desk offered free luggage storage. Lynn, Lewis, and Lisa at the front desk were all wonderful. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next stay!"

"Choosing to stay at Macau Oh Be Cheerful Inn was absolutely the right decision! The room was cozy and comfortable, and the access control system made us feel very secure. The location is excellent, making it convenient and quick to get to all the major attractions. What touched us most was on our last day when we were leaving, the owner was incredibly warm and helpful. Not only did they help us carry our large luggage downstairs, but they also personally called a taxi for us and saw us off into the car. This kind of personal touch is really rare in Macau, and I highly recommend it!"
