"The room was very clean and spacious, and the three beds were quite roomy. However, I couldn't reach the front desk by phone. The hot water supply was plentiful, and the location was excellent, with many bus stops nearby and a short walk to St. Paul's Ruins. There was construction going on nearby, so it was a bit noisy during the day. At night, there were occasional 'thud thud' sounds from the floor, which disturbed my sleep."

"Location: The hotel is very well-located in the old town, surrounded by famous attractions. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly. They upgraded my room and even helped me print out paper documents for my onward journey. Facilities: The facilities are comparable to a guesthouse in China, but they are decent for the price paid. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was good, and they even provided two complimentary bottles of water."

"The Caravel Hotel listing on Google maps is not very clear, and we reached the wrong one first. They guided us to the correct address, which was about 1 kilometre away. So, when you search for it on the GPS maps, do make sure that you compare it with the Chinese Characters also. (卡爾酒店) (Tip: this is near the Sofitel Hotel Macau at Ponte 16.) About the hotel, yes, it is smallish, yes, it is rated 2 stars. Yet, the rooms were comfortable. Not cramped like in Hong Kong. And as good (if not better) than many 3-star hotels in Mainland China. The desk staff were extremely helpful, polite and proactive. Macau being small, the roads are single lanes in the interior parts, with one-way streets regulating traffic. Though the arterial roads are having flowing traffic both ways. This is a few meters in the interior. Bounded by one-way streets. This is an advantage while walking as the sidewalk is very safe. Now location: This place is just six minutes walking distance to the first tourism spot we went to, the Ruins of St Paul's. Several tourism spots are just a few meters away from the St Paul's. We took in the major historical related sights just walking along. Cleanliness: Top class. Service: Desk was top notch. We never came across any housekeeping, but our rooms were neat when we returned as expected. There were bottles of water, but with a note to use the dispenser on the ground floor to refill. Environment. Facilities: There was a gym adjoining it but was closed permanently (I guess). There are no facilities in the hotel itself. There is a small cafe adjacent, which serves hybrid food, which was very convenient. There is also a small Chinese style restaurant just behind it. Scattered nearby are a few convenience stores. A good experience on the whole. The photos attached are to give you an idea of the environment. Not of the hotel."

"Great hotel with everything you need! I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in Macau. The reception staff speak good English, which made check-in and communication very easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. I especially liked that the two beds can be pushed together to create one large bed, which makes the room a great option for couples as well as solo travelers. The bathroom was also very good, and the hotel provides absolutely everything you might need: toothbrushes, shampoo, shower gel, and other basic amenities. You really don’t have to worry about bringing much with you. The Wi-Fi is also very easy to connect to. There are no complicated SMS codes or passwords, you simply scan a QR code and you’re connected. One thing to be careful about is the check-out time. It is taken quite seriously. Around 10 minutes before the official check-out time, hotel staff may already come to your room and ask you to leave so they can start cleaning. So if you need a little extra time, don’t expect much flexibility. The only other downside for me was the internet speed inside the room. The Wi-Fi felt quite slow, so I would recommend having a backup SIM card or mobile data, just in case. Overall, I really liked this hotel and would definitely recommend it. It is clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and suitable for both couples and solo travelers. A very solid choice for staying in Macau!"

"Excellent! It was clean, and although a bit small, that's understandable given Macau's limited space. The staff were fantastic and allowed us to store our luggage for free. The location was super convenient for getting around; we went to Senado Square almost every night and it was incredibly easy to get to the border gate. I'll definitely book here again on my next visit."

"This hotel offers incredible value for money at its price point, and that holds true in every aspect. To find a hotel of this caliber at this price in Macau is truly exceptional. **Facilities:** The facilities were by far the most satisfying part. A hairdryer, safe, complimentary black tea bags, bottled water, bags, a welcome note upon arrival, and a smart TV – everything you'd expect from a very standard hotel was provided. It's truly surprising to find such comprehensive facilities at this price; even hotels in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong at the same price don't offer this much. **Hygiene:** Overall, it was quite good and very clean. **Environment:** The hotel lobby was also very nice, and the corridors were beautifully decorated. The location is excellent too. The electric curtains allow you to see the streetscape outside, and the entire street leading in is charming. The hotel is tucked away in a small alley. **Service:** Both front desk staff who checked me in and the cleaning lady had incredibly good attitudes. Very, very satisfied."

"I only stayed for one night, and as soon as I entered the room, there was a smoky smell. Since it's a non-smoking hotel, it probably wasn't someone smoking in the room, but rather due to poor ventilation. Those sensitive to smoke should consider this carefully. The single room, though small, had everything one needs, making it quite suitable for solo travelers. It came with slippers, bottled water, and toiletries. The location is excellent, with many restaurants nearby and a convenient old restaurant on the hotel's first floor. Bus stops are also close, and you can walk to Senado Square. However, perhaps because it's an old street, the road isn't very even, making it a bit difficult to drag luggage."
