"Overall, the hotel was a decent stay with a few drawbacks. It’s about a 12-minute walk from the train station, which is convenient, although the building looks a bit shady from the outside. Inside, however, it’s very clean, the rooms are brand new as well. We arrived at 1am and found it closed, so we had to call to check in, which was a bit inconvenient. The biggest downside was the noise, there were firecrackers and fireworks going off until 5am (likely due to New Year’s Eve), making it hard to sleep. Also, the room only had one towel for two people. Overall, clean and modern, but with some inconveniences."

"I chose their 270-degree sea view room online because it was significantly cheaper than similar rooms. So, I gave up my original plan for a twin-bed room. When I got to the room and opened the curtains, I was pleasantly surprised! It looked exactly like the pictures on the platform – what you see is what you get. It would have been even more perfect if there wasn't a rooftop in front, haha! 😂 The room was very clean, and there was plenty of space for luggage. There's a mini-fridge, and they even provided complimentary iced Coke! They offer port pickup and drop-off, and the owner was already waiting for us when we disembarked. The guesthouse's location is also very convenient; it's perfect for strolling from one end of Mazu Temple towards Ewei. The guesthouse has small electric scooters available for rent, but we tried one, and my driving skills weren't great, and I accidentally broke a small flower pot belonging to the guesthouse. I offered to pay, but the landlady insisted on not taking any money... She helped us find a reasonably priced mini-scooter rental and even warned us about the risk of scrapes since the rental scooter wasn't insured. The service was exceptional! At night, we felt an earthquake due to the tremor in Taiwan. I went downstairs, and the owner told me their guesthouse foundation could withstand a magnitude 4-5 earthquake, which immediately put my mind at ease, haha. It was a really great stay, definitely worth the two days I spent carefully choosing it!"

"I came to Putian for a music festival, and as soon as the room was announced, I immediately tried to book one; there were almost none left. The location seems to be in the center of the old town, with plenty of restaurants nearby, and a bus stop and a large hotel right across the street. The conditions are just a standard guesthouse, but the owner was very welcoming. The bed was a bit too hard."

Since we didn't know the time and route of where we wanted to go, the boss was very patient and helped us check. The room was well-equipped and the sanitation was very good. It was cost-effective. "I came to Putian to run a marathon. The service and environment were very good. The item that deducted points was the air-conditioning outdoor unit. Like a guy in the comment section, I was woken up by the rumbling air-conditioning outdoor unit at two o'clock in the middle of the night (most people in commercial areas are reluctant to turn on the heating air-conditioning, and only other hotel tenants are using air-conditioning). Afterwards, I couldn't fall asleep while listening to the rumbling air-conditioning outdoor unit. Of course this is not the hotel owner's fault. I myself am very sensitive to sound, but it did make it really uncomfortable for me to run the marathon the next day, and I was in very bad shape. A suggestion is to prepare disposable earplugs and noise-reducing earmuffs, which can be provided free of charge or for a fee if tenants need them. In general, I am very satisfied with other aspects and highly recommend it."

"Near the train station, because the train station is building the subway exit, the direct route from the apartment to the train station is blocked (originally 4 minutes walk), now it takes ten minutes to get to the train station by detour, the boss is particularly enthusiastic, we call him to pick us up in person, We also invited us to drink Kung Fu tea, eat snacks, and introduce us to Putian's tourist attractions and interesting places around. It felt like home, very heartwarming. The room was clean and tidy, because the owner of the newly opened homestay had not come and arranged, but it didn't matter to us for one night, so I am very grateful to the boss for his reception. "This hotel was recently renovated this year. The room was spacious and clean with no unpleasant odors. All the amenities inside were brand new and excellent. There's parking available right outside. While the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, there are plenty of small eateries right downstairs on the street, one after another. The front desk staff were all enthusiastic and always ready to help. It's a hotel with great value for money, highly recommended!"

There are even disposable toilet seats in the bathroom, which is much better than other B&Bs. It was very quiet at night, the bed was comfortable and I slept soundly. The Rainbow Road by the sea is very beautiful. You can drink tea on the balcony and enjoy the sea view, which is very comfortable. The boss and his wife are warm and attentive in their service. The soy milk for breakfast is freshly made every day and is very delicious. As soon as you drink it, you can tell that it is not made from soy milk powder that is made for the sake of cheapness and convenience. The breakfast is buffet style, very clean, hot and warm. The corn is sticky and fragrant, very healthy and delicious. It was also the first time I had shredded squid for breakfast. It was sweet and refreshing. I read the guide on a certain website, and it specifically mentioned that the must-try food on Meizhou Island is Chunweifang’s special fried buns. We went to buy some that afternoon but were scared away by the long line and didn’t get to try them. To our surprise, we saw them on the breakfast table at the B&B the next day, and they were really delicious! It seems that the proprietress really put a lot of effort into preparing these breakfasts to present the special snacks of Meizhou Island, focusing on health and wellness. Especially since the prices on Meizhou Island are so expensive, the family can save a lot of money by having a full breakfast! !

Independent breakfast, exquisite and rich, from 7 o'clock to 11 o'clock, far beyond the average homestay level. The location is close to the Tianhou Palace (shocked at night), there is a food street nearby, all within 10 minutes walk, very convenient. The boss and his wife are friendly and welcoming, with appropriate benefits, providing very practical routes and transportation information. The boss not only picked up the station at the pier, but we played on the island after checking out. The boss readily helped us send the stored luggage directly to the pier, so that we could catch the return liner smoothly and had a great time. The people and scenery in Mazu's hometown are beautiful, I hope to have a chance to come again!

The pier made a special trip to arrange the boat to wait for the pick-up and drop-off. Her sincerity and kindness are just a beautiful picture of the simplicity and warmth in Mazu culture. The location of the homestay is excellent, the room is clean and tidy, the service is attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast is comfortable; the two children of the proprietress are also very well-behaved and sensible, and take the initiative to help us do things, and they are warm everywhere. It's clear the owner has put a lot of effort into hygiene. There was also a projector for watching TV, a washing machine on the first floor, and a laundry and drying area behind the kitchen. The location is centrally situated on the island, making it convenient to go anywhere. Services included: electric scooter rentals at reasonable prices, sand-digging tools, and free pier shuttle service.

GGuest UserI stayed in Meizhou Island for five or six days. This hotel is clean, comfortable, safe, and homely. You can even dry clothes on the fourth-floor balcony☺ and overlook the entire Mazu Temple. During my stay, the proprietress was really cheerful and kind. She would remind us to get up early every morning at four or five o'clock to worship Mazu. I stayed here for so many days just to worship Mazu. Every day here is filled with overflowing emotion and warmth. On the day I was about to leave for my next trip, the proprietress made delicious cakes for me to eat, and also filled a bag of dried radish, Meizhou seaweed, and a peace amulet bag for me. When I left, she didn't forget to help me book a car to the station. In the heavy rain, the boss personally helped me carry my overweight luggage down from the fourth floor and drove me to the pier. This hotel may not have luxurious five-star facilities and decorations, but it is full of warmth and home. P.S. Thank you again for the blessings of Mazu along the way. #Health #Service

The sanitation is unexpectedly clean, the air is good, and it is very transparent. There are also projectors and air conditioners. There are even disposable toilet covers and bath towels. The mineral water is also branded. I didn't take it away after checking out, but bought a bottle at the convenience store downstairs for two yuan. Overall it is very good and the price is reasonable. GGuest UserI had the best time at this homestay in Meizhou Island. The family that runs it is the kindest and most helpful person and makes me feel welcome as a foreigner. I washed my clothes for free, and on the day I left, they personally picked me up at another location and drove me to the dock at the last minute. The location of the homestay is also very strategic, close to the beach, great fresh fruit and vegetable markets, local specialties and bus stops on all the main routes on the island. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I will definitely return if I have the chance.
