"Every year when I return from a trip to Yunnan, I stop at this hotel in Qujing. The facilities are complete, the hygiene is excellent, and most importantly, the price is very reasonable. The service is warm and attentive. Due to a minor issue, my elderly husband and I were given a larger room. There are local snacks and a night market nearby. I'll definitely stay here again next time."

"First off, the environment is truly excellent, very clean and hygienic. It's fully smart, and the best part is the TV – watching movies on it is awesome, and listening to music is even better, the sound quality is top-notch! The bed is also super big. GGuest UserThe location is quite good, not right on the main road, so it's relatively quiet at night. The decor isn't super modern, but the facilities are complete. You can see rapeseed flowers from one side when you open the window. There's a restaurant on the first floor, which is convenient for meals. Today is Lantern Festival, and after breakfast, the owner even gave us a free serving of Tangyuan (sweet rice dumplings).

GGuest UserThe room size was just right, the shower water was acceptable, and there was an elevator. The main advantage was its proximity to Luoping Bus Station and Railway Station. For meals, you need to go to the area near the bus station. There are several bus lines from the bus station to the county town. To get to the Jiulong Waterfall Group, you can flag down bus number 8 at the bus stop in front of the bus station waiting hall.

GGuest UserI can't believe it's 2025, and there are still such wonderful hostels in China: bookstores, music, drinks, courtyards, and incredibly cool owners... a cultural utopia in Luoping County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province. It's a haven of cleanliness, a great location, excellent amenities, and a remarkably quiet environment. I hope Luoping 97 Bookstore Hostel stays open for a hundred years! Right now, I'm at Guiyang Longdongbao Airport T3 Terminal, about to board a Xiamen Airlines flight back to Nanjing. Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan are a hub of delicious food and a gathering place for all kinds of culinary experts. This isn't my first time here, and it won't be my last. By the way, the hostel owner told me about the Time YHA Hostel in Yongyuan Alley next to the Presidential Palace in Nanjing. That's where my stays at China International Youth Hostels began, the place where a beautiful dream started... I miss the pre-pandemic hostel era, cherish everything I have now, and look forward to the future. Attached is a picture: the sunset I saw from the owner's rooftop that night. The sunset was beautiful; goodbye sunset.

It is all-inclusive for eating, drinking and having fun. It takes about 17 minutes to walk to Nanmen Square, suitable for slow travel. The boss is more enthusiastic. It is inconvenient that the bus cannot go directly to the park, except for tourists who will ride a shared electric car.

HHuahongzhenguiOur primary goal was to visit Luoping's Jinji Fengcong (Golden Rooster Hills) and its vast rapeseed fields, so we meticulously chose and booked the highly-rated Xinyuan Dream Guesthouse on Ctrip, conveniently located within the scenic area. It was spotlessly clean, tidy, and comfortable, and our spacious view room offered direct views of Jinji Fengcong. After staying here, we realized that staying within the scenic area is absolutely the best choice, saving both time, effort, and money. The guesthouse is run by a young, university-educated couple. The proprietress is a sweet, friendly, and charming young lady; her radiant smile is as captivating as the blooming rapeseed flowers themselves. They offer freshly prepared dishes and rice for all three meals, which are excellent value for money and taste wonderfully fresh and light. The owner even personally drove us to the scenic area entrance in his electric cart, which was incredibly thoughtful. Right outside the guesthouse, there's a field of rapeseed flowers (Pic 2) where every casual snap turns into a stunning photo. Public transport is also conveniently accessible right outside the entrance. I've already recommended it to all my friends on social media who are planning a trip here!
