Find 2-Star Hotels in Urumqi

The hotel in Urumqi is conveniently located right next to a bus stop. You can take a bus directly from the airport to here, and a single bus fare within the city is only two yuan. There are plenty of dining options right downstairs from the hotel, which is super convenient. There's also a market selling fruit just around the corner. The hotel staff provide excellent service, the rooms are clean, and the location is fantastic. I highly recommend it. You can get anywhere for just two yuan by bus, making it very easy to reach places like the International Grand Bazaar and the museum.

Nice hotel overall. The room is clean and comfortable, and plenty of bottled water is provided. There was a soft spot in the wooden floor tiles, almost as if the flooring has dented over time due to usage. It didn’t affect the stay, but it may be something worth upgrading in the future. The air conditioning/heating unit is very useful, though it has a slight humidity-related smell when operating. Our room rate included breakfast, served in the cafeteria on the second floor. The food was very good—one of the better inclusive breakfast offerings I’ve experienced among hotels in a similar price range. The staff are very kind and consistently greet you as you walk in and out of the hotel. There is also security at the front entrance, which adds an extra layer of safety and reassurance. The location is convenient, with many shops and restaurants nearby, and it’s also very easy to get around using Didi. Overall, a very good experience and I would gladly return.

Not far from Xiaoxigou subway station, which makes it very convenient to get to the Grand Bazaar. The staff were very enthusiastic and even provided a free washing machine and dryer, which was a huge plus! The room had disposable toilet seat covers and face towels, making it feel much cleaner. There's also a public area where you can get water and charge your devices.

Service: For check in on trip, it says to call a day in advance. I tried this, but the person who answered couldn't speak English. It was not a problem, because I then messaged on the online chat. That was perfectly fine and they responded very quickly. I'd say if you don't speak Chinese, just message online. The front desk staff were super helpful when I was there, and quick to use a translator so we could communicate well. Amenities: I did some washing, laundry detergent cost ¥10 I think, and again the staff were very helpful, finding as many hangers as I needed to dry my clothes. Location: The environment was so peaceful, the lobby was a nice air-conditioned place to hang out. The outside grass area was so lovely, with little lavender and rose plants and chairs to sit outside. There is also a bar across the courtyard, and a coffee shop. The area is a bit far out of the city, but it is right near the metro, lots of local shops, and a mall with some big chain stores. Things to consider: I stayed in the single room attached to the women's dorm. It was so handy to have my own space for a very reasonable price. However, the single room itself does not have its own air-conditioning. The women's dorm does, so to cool the room down, I would just keep the door between open for a bit. Still, it was never as cold as the dorm room because it went up to 40°c outside when I was there, and I preferred to keep the door locked when I went out to keep my belongings safe. The single room does have a fan and a window, so you can get some airflow through there. Overall, it was fine, just be aware if you are travelling during the summer. (Also one suggestion I would have is to put a mirror in the room, so you can get ready in there). The only other issue was no soap for washing hands in the dorm bathroom, although there was shampoo and conditioner provided in the shower. Cat: The cat was so cute! 🐈

To sum it up, this is an excellent hostel. 1. The lobby is huge. I've stayed in many hostels and hotels, and this is by far the biggest lobby I've ever seen. 2. The service is fantastic. All the staff are polite and enthusiastic young people. 3. The facilities are super comprehensive. They have a fridge, microwave, washing machine, and kettle, all free to use. 4. The management is very well-regulated. The no-smoking policy throughout the building and the rule against chatting or making calls inside the rooms are truly excellent. 5. My roommates were great. Everyone in the room was considerate, and the room was clean, tidy, and quiet. 6. The surroundings are very convenient. It's just over 200 meters walk to the bus stop, and within 100 meters there are plenty of dining options. If you want BBQ, there's BBQ; if you want mixed noodles, there are mixed noodles, and also stir-fries. Oh, right, the hostel also offers shared meals with home-cooked dishes. 7. The atmosphere is superb. The manager is a Uyghur lady who teaches everyone Uyghur language and dance, and the staff often play games with us in the lobby.

This hostel completely exceeded my expectations as a solo traveler! The environment is quiet and elegant, and the common lounge is perfect for reading, chatting, and meeting many interesting people. The hygiene is meticulous, the bedding is soft, and the soundproofing is also quite good. The owner is very nice and patiently answers questions about travel itineraries. It's a warm landing spot during my journey, highly recommended!

Although small, it had everything you needed. I didn't have high hopes for the room, which was only a little over 100 yuan, but it turned out to be incredibly good value for money! It was simple, clean, and tidy, and there were restaurants and a small supermarket nearby, which was very convenient. The receptionist was also very friendly and helpful.

The hotel's location is super convenient and easy to find, just a few hundred meters from the subway exit. The service is great, and they even have a shuttle bus to the airport at scheduled times, which is incredibly helpful for guests catching early flights after an overnight stay. I'd definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance.

We initially booked a room with windows, but upon arrival they told us there were only rooms without window left. So we did not had another choice than to take it. We negotiated with the owner and he gave us some discount. The walls in the room were quite filthy with lots of stains on it and the bathroom was missing a door. When taking a shower, the whole floor was under water because the drains are probably clogged massively. The owner and the receptionist were both very friendly though and the hotel is in a very good location right next to the metro station and shopping mall.
