"Pros: For its price point, the hygiene, soundproofing, and location are top-notch. It's right next to the train station, and even in a room at the end of the hall, you can't hear any outside noise. Cons: On the night we checked in, I specifically asked the front desk about breakfast times. They only told me 7:00-10:00 but failed to mention that since the hotel shares an entrance and elevators with the Ji Hotel, the restaurant floor can only be accessed with a Ji Hotel key card. Guests staying at Hanting Express are limited to dining at the single table in the lobby, which is less than 20 square meters. This feels like a deliberate concealment. We paid extra for double breakfast portions for both our rooms, but the food was incredibly sparse: only 1 boiled egg, 1 pre-packaged burger/chicken wrap (choose one), and 1 cup of soy milk per person. If you wanted more, you had to pay extra. The experience gap between different brands within the same hotel group is huge. Suggestions: 1. Absolutely do not pay extra for breakfast; it's very poor value for money. You're better off grabbing something from a street vendor. 2. I hope the hotel front desk will proactively explain the actual breakfast dining situation to guests who have purchased breakfast during check-in, to reduce negative reviews. Multiple reviews have already stated – had they known the breakfast was like this, they would never have paid extra for it."

"The location is good, and the rooms are large, spacious, and clean; they're perfectly fine for several people. The only downside is parking; you need to find a parking lot separately as there isn't one specifically for the hotel. However, the price is very reasonable."

"The location is great, with plenty of good food options nearby. The owner is also very nice and helped us store and retrieve our luggage. The only minor issue was the air conditioner being a bit noisy, but the owner promptly checked it after we reported it. Overall, it's a good place and not expensive."

"Good: - The hotel was a 10 minute walk away from Dongguan mosque and the Xiananguan market - Looks fairly new with decent facilities Bad: - I saw a tiny cockroach in my room 5 minutes after checking in. - There was also a strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout my first day in the hotel. The staff that came to investigate claimed it was the cleaning agents that they use 🤷. He did try to help by spraying some cleaning agent around the room though. - There is some ventilation vent (which I suspect transmits the cigarette smoke smell between rooms) which also transmits noise from other rooms. I could hear other guests talking loudly at each other in their own rooms past 12am - there is only 1 washer and 1 dryer. I attempted to use them on three separate occasions and only succeeded in my third time. After washing my clothes, the dryer then took 3 hours to fully dry my clothes. Other guests who wanted to use the dryer would have probably been frustrated."

" This stay experience is particularly satisfactory! The location of the hotel is easy to find, very close to the business district and attractions, and it is convenient to go out and take a taxi. The lobby is clean and tidy, the check-in speed is very fast, and the front desk lady is patient. The rooms were cleaned spotlessly, there was no smell, there was a faint fragrance, the mattress was moderately soft and hard, the sound insulation was very good, and the corridor noise was completely heard. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the quality of spare parts is online. Downstairs is the source of Zhongfa, the price is full, it is highly recommended to travel friends to choose. "I booked a non-smoking room, but the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The smell in the bathroom was very strong and extremely irritating to my nose. The room was not clean. The floor was dirty, and I found 1-2 small cockroaches. The bathroom was poorly designed and not properly separated into sections. The bed was very hard, and I woke up with back pain in the morning. There is no elevator in the building-only stairs. I had to carry my large 29-inch suitcase down from the 4th floor to the 1st floor by myself, which was very inconvenient. I originally booked 5 nights, but I had to cancel the remaining 4 nights because I simply could not continue staying there Overall, a very disappointing experience 😌"

The smart toilet had a heating function, and free sanitary napkins were provided. "Great location with many restaurants and shops in the vicinity. Walking distance to Mojia Street and Daxin Night Market and Dongguan Mosque. We like the olden vibe and ambiance of the rooms, toilets are clean. Breakfast is simple but adequate with friendly staff. Also allows guests to try on Hanfu dresses both for men and women for free. Only thing is hotel lobby has no proper toilet, with the only toilet inside the store room which is usually locked."
