"This stay was fantastic! The hotel is just a few hundred meters from Xia Nanguan Street and Daxin Street Night Market, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. The room was fully equipped and spotless, and the common areas were especially cozy. Blackout curtains and adjustable lighting were provided. Cleanliness was impeccable; even the toilet was spotless. The front desk staff was so warm and helpful! She proactively upgraded my room and even provided detailed information on local eateries and transportation routes. Any requests I had during my stay were addressed incredibly quickly, making me feel right at home."

"I booked a suite for one night and immediately extended it for another with a twin room after checking in, finding a better deal than I'd found online. The room was immaculately clean. Although the twin room had a shared bathroom, it was as clean as home and not inconvenient. The location is just 3 kilometers across the road from the train station, and the train station is only four bus stops away. It's very convenient. Downstairs are the Xinqian Night Market and the Xingguang Night Market, and the Wuyi Road Morning Market is only a half-hour bus ride away. Opening the window at night can be a bit warm in the first half of the night, but it's very comfortable in the second half. My dad finds it a bit noisy sleeping with the window open, as the many cars honking are common, but I'm fine with it. The owner was very accommodating and friendly."

"Clean n newly renovated hotel. Check-in was fast n checkout at 2pm. Use translator to communicate. Free additional drinking water available at the reception. The manager and staff were very friendly. House keeping staff were very polite and even update us on the weather conditions outside. Even though we didn't know Chinese, sign language was good enough. Daily cleaning with a change of soft fluffy white towel. Complete daily supply of toilet accessories. Change of linens. Shower with good water pressure. WC with auto flushing.
We got a room near the free laundry facility with detergent and softener.
Walking distance to the market and Dongguan Mosque."

"No issues. We booked a non-smoking room but got a smoking one which is par for the course here. The smoke penetrates everywhere anyway.
Comfy bed, good shower, good air con, no noise issues. The staff try to be helpful.
Location fine. Next to moija st for food and the night market is a 5 minute walk. 20 minute walk to the mosque.
Negative: no response to messages and all the fire doors are tied open (pictured). I write about deadly building fires and this is insane and not on. Someone could die in a fire despite the good fire escape."

"Nice room with view from neighborhood. It's 30min walk from downtown but there are plenty of restaurants and markets nearby. I was the only guest during the 4 nights I was there, so not much of an atmosphere despite the nice social areas. The heating system (underfloor) works only in the night so it's a bit chill during the day. There are hot showers and possibly of doing laundry (10yuan a load)."

"Family members, who knows? The single room in Jinxin Hotel where I stayed this time was equipped with a 1.8-meter bed, which was really nice...
The room was clean and tidy, with a simple and stylish decoration style. It should be a newly renovated hotel. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and I slept until dawn. The bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas, and the quality of toiletries was also good.
The most amazing thing about this stay was that it was not only equipped with a full range of disposable supplies, but also the quality was far beyond expectations, and I felt very relieved to use it~
And the location of the hotel is also quite amazing. The Daxin Street Night Market is 50 meters away from the hotel. It is said to be the largest and longest night market in Xining, and you can basically eat there without any bad food...
And Mojia Street is opposite, which is really convenient..."

"Sheng 45 Is located a 25 minute walk from city attractions and a 15+ minute taxi ride to the train and bus stations. Around 8am and 5pm, traffic is terrible because of parents picking up their kids at the nearby school.
The Good
The best part was the social experience. A couple volunteers were very friendly. They played games and watched movies with us in the communal area on the ground floor. It is a great place to meet people.
The Bad
While the dorm bed and room were comfortable, there were significant issues elsewhere. The door to the room made loud noises whenever entering and exiting that disturbed sleep. Someone kept the door to the roof outside open, permitting the toxic stench from the nearby auto shop inside as well as street noise and humidity. There was only one functioning squat toilet on the third floor in a dirty bathroom with little privacy—one of the doors wouldn’t close."

GGuest UserStarting with the positives. The construction and decor was great. Showering space was also nice and new. Staff were also helpful and nice.
Amenities are ok. Everything you would expect for washing up. But no AC for many rooms without windows is a travesty. Only a electric fan that can only blow for 1 hour at a time. Easy to get asphyxiated at night.
Horrible stench of body odor and cigarette smoke was present when I entered my room.
Hygiene seemed alright until I showered. And with a small waft of the towels a terrible stench of cigarette odor pierced my nostrils.. Expecting guests to wipe off with this odorous smell is disappointing.
Water also leaks from the shower compartment into the toilet floor.

The beds are soft and comfy, good showers with very hot water. Rooms were clean. The buses from outside connect well to the Muslim area of the city and the restaurants nearby are nice. Staff are friendly.
Bad points -
We booked a non smoking room, all the rooms available were infact non smoking and yet the whole place absolutely stank of cigarettes.
We moved rooms because after dinner we came back to a haze of smoke in the room, everyone must be smoking.
I live in China, I realise this isn't uncommon, but in that case don't advertise non smoking rooms.

GGuest UserExcellent hostel! Enthusiastic and friendly young owners who welcomed me with social activities and evening hotpot. The location is excellent, 15 minutes walk between train and bus stations and the mosques. Easy access by bus to Kumbum monastery. Showers are hot and there was a washing machine but I didn't use this. Minor drawbacks: it's a cold hostel so you need to wear layers inside, and the cleanliness is only average. Overall, it's a really good budget hostel and I'd stay again for sure.

GGuest UserI only stayed one night but it was honestly one of my best hostel experiences! Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming — I felt at home right away. In the evening, we all shared a barbecue together which made it so easy to connect with people.
And bonus: there are the cutest cats ever 🐱❤️
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good vibes and lovely people!

MMiki Pkt.The bed was comfortable, even without air conditioning. The weather was nice in September, but the hot water in the shower was sometimes hot, sometimes just a little warm. The room was spacious and clean. The location was good, close to a supermarket and many restaurants to choose from. If I have the chance, I will stay here again. It's a good place to stay.

AAnonymous UserStaying at the Boway Hotel was an absolutely fantastic experience! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the bus stop, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The room was clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation and no unpleasant odors. The facilities were well-maintained, and both the air conditioning and WiFi worked perfectly. The staff were warm and attentive, handling check-in and check-out efficiently, and even proactively offered local sightseeing tips. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh ingredients. It's incredibly good value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

GGuest UserGreat location, but the room and hotel were in decline. The room’s carpet had more hair than I thought possible, clearly hadn’t been vacuumed - possibly ever. Every part of the room had stains and cigarette burn marks, the bathroom was also not clean. For one night, perfectly fine as location is excellent for sights and train station. For more than that, I would choose a better place.

RrobinmetralThe two people managing this hotel are very helpful, despite the language barrier. They went out of their way to find a laundry shop for us, and made sure we were OK with the room.
The room itself is a bit dated, but functional. The main downside for us was the lack of ”real towel” (only single use towels are provided.
For light sleepers, keep in mind that the popular night market street is just below. It can be noisy until quite late in the night.
Otherwise, the location is ideal: close to many eateries, the main mosque, and convenient transportation.

GGuest UserThe hotel we checked into this time was quite unexpected. As soon as we walked to the door with our suitcases, a handsome staff member came to pick us up. I was stunned. It turned out that he was watching us take our suitcases to help us carry our luggage! 😄😄😄
Checking in at the front desk was very fast. It took only a minute or two to complete the check-in. The service attitude was also very good. The little brother kept smiling and helped us carry our luggage throughout the process. I was very touched.
The room is also good. Disposable towels, toilet mats and mineral water are provided as gifts. For more than 100 yuan, so many cleaning supplies are given away. What a conscientious business!
Room hygiene: Very clean, including bedding, sink, and bathroom. Although there is no elevator, it gave us a warmer feeling!
