"After our trip to Qinghai, we returned to the Holiday Inn Express, and it felt like coming back to civilization. The front desk staff were professional and friendly. There's underground parking, and the room was clean and spacious. For dinner, we had 'Kaiguo Lamb' at the hotel restaurant – selected short ribs simmered in broth for 15 minutes, then dipped in sauce, which was absolutely delicious! We finished with some vegetables cooked in the same pot. The breakfast spread, a mix of Western and Chinese, was also very rich. Compared to other Holiday Inn Express hotels in mainland China, this one offered local specialties like yogurt and noodles. If I ever come back to Xining, I'll definitely choose to stay here again."

"The girl who checked us in was a godsend. We arrived on a particularly freezing evening! She took the initiative to upgrade us to a room facing the inner courtyard as it was warmer. The location is perfect, right next to the railway station with a few restaurants next door for dinner. Take a short stroll across the river and it's the herb wholesale market with plenty of breakfast options around. It's a bit dated but it's good for transit. The spectacled girl at reception in the morning was horrible though. Bad attitude!"
