"Overall clean, nice, spacious room and staff service is good and we the special pillows ‘True sleeper’.
Only issue is that the room we stayed faces the main road and the windows are not sound-proofed. We could hear noises from vehicles driving passed in the night."

"A bit outdated, but kept clean where it matters and the air conditioning unit is new, beds are comfy. Has a hot bath you can use. I think it's the only bath on the property but it's not crowded.
Harder to get to if you don't have a car. Owner was able to pick me up from uchinomaki station by calling them. But if you can't make phone calls, it would be a 25 minute walk. Better to go one stop over to Aso station where there are taxi stands. Costs 1700 yen."

"Even in midsummer, it was comfortable without a cooler. I only took a shower because the bath was ready. There is a hot spring nearby, so I think you should come in.

"The breakfast was delicious and substantial. The hot spring is private, but it's first-come, first-served. You have to shower outside the room, and it closes quite early. If you're going as a couple, remember you won't be able to shower after your intimate moments, so bring wet wipes for your partner."
It takes 10 minutes by car from the Aso station of the JR Hohi main line. The Japanese-style inn with Onsen (hot spring) has a 130-year history.
"I booked a stay that included breakfast. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, explaining everything thoroughly when I had questions, which made my stay very smooth. The bedding was super cozy and plush. After a relaxing hot spring bath, I enjoyed a warm cup of tea using the in-room tea bags and kettle, then had a wonderful night's sleep in the comfortable futon. Breakfast was a delicious Japanese-style home-cooked meal. They even knocked on my door to let me know when breakfast was ready. The lounge facilities, including the smoking room and manga collection on the second floor, were also a great bonus."

"The rooms are clean, well furnished and conveniently located, 10 minutes from Azu Station. However, the hotel did not provide information on the arrangements for self-check-in (such as room number and door lock password) the day before check-in. Trip.com The receipt only provides the hotel's contact number, and the call to the hotel is only Japanese, so the speech is not available and there is no information for self-check-in. Afterwards, I learned the hotel's email address from the support service of Trip.com, but there was no prompt reply from the email to the hotel. Finally, I called the front desk clerk of the hotel the night before to get the information I needed."
