The hotel is old but tidy, there is no daily necessities except old towels, including a blow dryer in the hot spring area, and there is nothing towels lock. It is right below the Wakakusa north gate entrance and right near Todaiji and Kasugataisha. "Big and spacious room with great shower facility. There is an onsen for guest at the basement which are seperated gender. On the same floor, there is a rest area with coin payable laudromat. Room was quiet and peaceful to rest in. They provide very comfy pyjamas for you to wear as well. There is a kitchen with equiped ammnities that you can request at the reception counter. Overall great experience and wll defintely go back again"

"The room is near the south gate of Wakakusa Mountain. There are many deer at the gate. You can let your children feed the deer and rest in the room. The room has a living room, washing machine, drying machine, small kitchen, and microwave. There is no TV, but the wifi speed is very fast. It is very quiet at night. In the early morning, there are only birds singing in the forest. The sun shines between the leaves, which can make people dazed for a long time. It is very close to Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Todaiji Temple is a ten-minute walk. It is recommended to go to Wakakusa Mountain after 6 pm. It is too hot during the day and there are many deer on the hillside at night."

"We really appreciated the stay at the old traditionnal timber house, everything is kept in its style. The lifestyle also is part of the house : everyone is playing the game, being very silent and respectful, sharing a very nice traditionnal kitchen. The house may miss one more shower but it still works. I totally recommand the experience !!"
