"Pros: Quiet yet central, just a street away from Lotte Department Store. Bus and subway stations are within a 3-5 minute walk. Equipped with a large bathtub, refrigerator, and clothes refresher. Cons: The bunk bed frame creaks loudly. The sheets are rough, and the duvet cover makes a rustling sound. Some equipment is not well-maintained. Those with a strong aversion to germs might want to bring their own disposable slippers."

"The room was clean enough not to be too bothersome. The sink drained slowly, but it wasn't a major issue. My first impression was that it was a bit old, but the hot water worked well and the water pressure was strong, so I wasn't really inconvenienced. I happened to bump into a staff member right at checkout time, and they were incredibly friendly, which was lovely... Thanks to them, I left with a good memory... 🥹💕 I think it's decent for the price. There were also emergency medicines and chargers near the entrance! Thanks to that, I had a comfortable stay. (The location is also quite close to Haeundae, good good!)"

"THE GOOD It's important to understand that this is an affordable hostel with a view but is not as fancy as it may seem in the photos. You're not going to get a luxury, super-comfortable stay with a bay view at this low of price. Speaking of the view, it's very nice during the day and at night from the top floor breakfast room and the bay view rooms on the levels right below it. Speaking of breakfast, you do have to cook the eggs yourself, but there are three burners and some other good food options, too. We also had a great experience with the staff at the reception desk, who were friendly, helpful, and apologetic about any issues. The WiFi was good, with a modem and router in each room. The location is great, too, if you love shopping streets, street food, fish markets, wharfs, and a more locals side of Busan. Access to the subway and buses is incredible, so you can get over to Haeudae Beach, Gwangali Beach, Dadaepo Beach, Gamcheon Culture Village, Busan Station (for trains to Seoul and Gyeongju), and more, but if you want to frequent Haeudae, it's kind of a long haul from here. THE NOT-SO-GOOD Our bay view room was a bit gimmicky, because while the view was nice, the room is quite small, has flimsy furniture, and lacks hooks (except the one in the window where the sun will fade your clothes). The wall of windows is cool to look through, but in May, we had the curtains closed 99% of the time because the south-facing room gets blasted by the sun and the AC isn't powerful enough to counteract it. The room was in need of maintenance, too, with ruined flooring due to a poor bathroom door design and things starting to fall apart in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, if you need 100% total privacy, it may not work for you. The shade over the very large window is barely sufficient in its thickness, and it has a two-inch gap on either side where you can see down to the street 9 stories below (see photo). You have to stand in a specific spot in the bathroom while showering with the handheld showerhead in order to feel entirely private, and you have to be very careful to not spray the leaky door. We also discovered that things that aren't used regularly can be dusty, and we found dust bunnies in the hallways. The bed also had a firm, squeaky spring mattress that didn't encourage the greatest sleep. If you're a backpacker or budget traveler like us, you'll find this place passable (especially for the price, location, and breakfast), but if you have normal hotel standards, this hostel may not meet them."

"Good location because it is very close to a mountain, seoul forest park and many bus routes and train stations. Bed was comfortable, shower was good and air conditioning was life saving during the heat of the summer."

"The male staff member who speaks Japanese was very kind. I had booked an 8-person mixed dormitory, but ended up in a 4-person dormitory. The room is small, but since outdoor shoes are not allowed, I could place my luggage directly on the floor, which was convenient. However, it was a bit inconvenient to have to change into outdoor shoes every time I moved between floors (outdoor shoes were stored in an open, unlocked shelf). It might be useful to bring your own sandals or flip-flops for moving around. I saw several Daiso stores in central Busan, so I bought sandals there for 3000W. There was no light by the bed, so it was dark; I used my phone's flashlight. There was a water dispenser and hot water available near the reception."

"This was my first solo trip abroad, and my first time in Busan, so I booked this hotel hoping for a new, clean place where I could sleep without stress. It turned out to be the perfect choice! The location is what you'd call a bustling downtown area, perhaps like Kabukicho or Shibuya in Japan. However, it felt very safe, possibly because it's right behind Lotte Department Store. I'd walk past stylish BBQ restaurants and other eateries on my way back, so even if I stayed out late for shopping and dinner, the location felt secure. The hotel lobby and front desk are small and cozy, but stylish and bright. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and kind to me, even as a Japanese person. It was also reassuring that there was always staff at the front desk, even late at night. The room had a modern feel with bright wood tones and white decor! It was simple, without unnecessary embellishments, which I really liked. Although it felt a bit small, I was out exploring the city during the day. For spending mornings and evenings, I was alone, but I think it would be perfectly sufficient for a couple as well. It was the typical Korean setup with no bathtub, just a shower/toilet/sink area. But to my surprise, in addition to the showerhead, there was also a rain shower! A rain shower would be perfect for warming up, especially in winter. And get this – amenities were included! Everything from a toothbrush to toner was packed into a cute bag, making it feel like you could stay here practically empty-handed. Plus, the toilet even had a bidet, which is such a welcome feature for Japanese people!!!! There was just one tiny thing: it might have been just during my stay, but it was noisy outside from construction starting around 7 AM. However, I think this was just a matter of timing. Once the construction is over, or on a different day, it might be different. Overall, considering the location, amenities, and facilities, it was a very good value for money stay! If I ever go to Busan again, I'd love to stay here. Thank you!"

"While we were provided unlimited clean towels, you may need to replace the old ones. Would be nice if there’s a little light on each bunk bed to avoid leaving the major lights open or closed for everyone. Also, additional outlets would help instead of just 2 when there are 4 in the room. The staff that looks like Takenori Akagi is very nice, welcoming and took care of everything. The other staff were not that friendly."
