"This is a nice hotel with nicely designed rooms. The only thing that was lacking in the room was a desk to work on. I had a water lickage from the shower, they said they know and still didn't have a chance to fix it. The location is good: near a metro station, 3 stations from the very center of Barcelona. All in all - recommended."

"The room itself was really good: clean, comfortable and spacious. However, my first impression of the stay and the stuff of the hotel was suboptimal, which coloured the whole experience.  I arrived at the hotel at about 1 p.m. First thing that surprised me was the fact that there were actually 2 hotels and only one of them had a check-in desk, to find which I had to ask around. When I finally arrived at the reception, I was second in line as there were some people checking out. While I was waiting a family (parents and a child) came in, and then one more group of travellers arrived. When the receptionist was done with the people who were before me, I asked to be checked in. In response, I got told that she was going to check the family in first. She wasn’t apologetic or nice about, she told me this as if that was what always happened and not that people got served in the order of their arrival. I am sure the family really appreciated what she’d done and I wouldn’t have minded either if that action was followed with acknowledgement of this not being okay and an offer of some services to recover their reputation. Not only had I not got an apology or anything like that but also I was again bypassed for registration as the receptionist decided to invite 5 people who came in later on to check them out. At that point me and other people in the line were quite baffled by the behaviour and understood that there was nothing fair about this interaction. After I was  finally checked in and went back to the other side of the street for my hotel, the room pleasantly surprised me. It was clean and had all the necessary amenities. However, I was a bit confused at first by the thing you need to do to get electricity. I was told by a friend that the system of inserting the key card into a specific slot in order to get electricity is now the norm, but this month I’ve been to 5 different hotels and all of them had different systems and none of them were this particular one, so I personally would’ve appreciated a heads up or an informative poster on the door. The only downside of the room that I found was that that side of the street was quite loud. It was much better with the windows closed, however, if you are a light sleeper, I recommend taking ear plugs.  The rest of the stay went pretty okay for me, but that first experience unfortunately is something I’ll never forget.  If you are travelling as a family, I would imagine this hotel would prioritise you over other guests any time, so maybe that’s just who they cater to. As a solo traveler, however, this was not what I was expecting."

"The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from the metro. There's a beautiful hospital right next door, which is worth visiting. To be honest, the breakfast was pretty average. The price isn't super low, but the place is very clean."

"Hotel Catalonia Sagrada Familia, Barcelona This hotel is well-situated for visiting the best places of interest in Barcelona - it is only a fifteen minute walk to the famous Sagrada Familia church. It is also very close to a metro station that will take you anywhere in the city, including the old city, the rail station and the airport. The reception staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful, the cleaning staff very efficient and all the amenities in the room all work well. The room is not large but perfectly adequate for a stay of a few days, the bed is comfortable with soft pillows and there is an outdoor terrace with table and chairs for a cocktail after a hard day’s sightseeing! There is also a bar and restaurant, gym and pool in the hotel so, in summary, this is a much better 3-star hotel compared against most others in Spain."

"I had a weekend trip from Madrid to Barcelona by train. The hotel is perfectly located, it took me just 20-25 minutes to get there on foot from the Sants railway station (I only had a backpack). The room was clean and greatly equipped: the wardrobe had about 15 (!) hangers in a perfect, not broken/bent condition (!! cf. many other hotels around the world), the shower was modern and besides equipped with a mirror with anti-steam control system, the WC was sanitised and secured with a tape (not really necessary, but great to have it, isn't it). A safe was there in the room as well. The breakfast is standard: fruits, cereals, eggs, bakery, several types of salami, tea/coffee. The room was ready even before the regular check-in time (I arrived and was allowed to check in an hour or so before 12:00). It will take you about 30-40 minutes to get on foot to the main Barcelona sights from it. Wi-Fi worked well."

"A cozy hotel located in a wonderful neighbourhood of Barcelona. The best aspect of the hotel is the breakfast - one of the best breakfasts I have had in spanish hotels. The swimming pool and jacuzzi is great consisering the small size of the hotel. The soundproofing between rooms could be improved but in general its okay. the beds are comfortable. Workers are helpful."

The hotel is located right by the promenade. You can rent bikes and have a nice evening. The only thing is, we rented electric bikes and they didn't work. We couldn't figure out what was wrong with them, so in the end, we took a regular bike but paid the electric bike price :) Make sure to check them with the staff. As for the room, breakfast, and service, no complaints at all, only gratitude.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of the central business district. It was fantastic to explore the surroundings, as everything you could possibly need is right there. The only minor drawback was that the small street leading to the hotel was a bit dirty and cluttered, though it felt safe. The interior of the hotel was very cozy. Although the room was small, it was exquisite, clean, and comfortable, with a well-designed layout and ample storage space. The bathroom was also very functional, and the bedding was comfortable. There was a small incident where my daughter's favorite white plush toy was accidentally bundled into the white bedsheets by the cleaning staff and went missing. The hotel manager was incredibly helpful and thoughtfully assisted us in searching for it at the third-party linen cleaning company. It was eventually found, and we were thrilled to get it back. The service was excellent and very empathetic. Hotel prices in Spain have been particularly high recently, so for this location and time of year, the value for money was quite good.

A Week in Barcelona — Staying at Hotel Serhs Del Port (Early February) Spending a week in Barcelona in early February felt relaxed and unhurried, and staying at Hotel Serhs Del Port played a big part in that. Overall, it was a comfortable base with a few details that really stood out—both good and not so good. I was very lucky with my room placement. My room faced the patio, which meant it stayed wonderfully quiet. The window didn’t look out onto the main street or neighboring buildings, and that made a big difference—especially at night. After long days out in the city, coming back to that calm felt like a small luxury. The breakfast was another highlight. The selection was good and varied, with both cold and warm dishes, pastries, and a fresh orange juice extractor that felt especially fitting for Spain. It was easy to start the day well-fed without needing to think too much about it. I also really appreciated the coworking space. It was pleasant and functional, and I found myself using it often. Having a comfortable place to sit and work without retreating to the room made the stay feel more balanced and productive. The staff, both at the front desk and in the restaurant, were consistently friendly and helpful. Interactions felt natural and unforced, which always makes a hotel feel more welcoming. Location-wise, the hotel was very convenient. La Rambla was only about a 4–5 minute walk away, close enough to be easily accessible but far enough to avoid the constant noise. The surrounding area was lively in a good way, filled with restaurants, bars, and supermarkets, making daily life simple and flexible. That said, there was one downside that was hard to ignore: the walls were thin. I could clearly hear the snoring/ coughing of the gentleman in the neighboring room, which definitely broke the illusion of privacy on some nights. All in all, Hotel Serhs Del Port offered a comfortable, well-located stay with thoughtful touches and friendly service. A quieter room placement made a big difference—but thinner walls are something to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper.

The hotel lobby smells lovely, and the room was clean and tidy with a very pleasant green accent wall. The bed frame was hollow, which made it a bit creaky. The soundproofing isn't great, but it didn't bother me much since I was up early exploring anyway. If Barcelona is your first stop, I'd give this place an 8/10. The location is unbeatable, just around the corner from Passeig de Gràcia and a few meters from Zara!

I recently stayed in a bed space at TOC Hostel in Barcelona, and unfortunately, my experience was not very comfortable. The pillow provided was quite uncomfortable, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the electric socket near my bed was not working, which was inconvenient for charging devices. Another issue was the noise level. Both during the night and throughout the day, the environment was quite loud, making it hard to rest properly. It doesn’t feel like a suitable place for anyone who is sensitive to noise or values a quiet atmosphere. Overall, I would not recommend this hostel, especially for those who have trouble sleeping in noisy environments.

Onix Fira seems like a junior hotel in that it has a great deal of potential, but consistently falls short and seems to be having some crisis of identity and growing pains as a hotel. TLDR: I would not stay here again at the rate I paid at booking. It is a decent hotel, but one should only pay $105-$120/night for what it offers. Here’s what’s going right for it: - very clean facilities and room - located across from a mall that also has a grocery store , which is great for grabbing anything you forgot to pack or raw veggies - a nice 2nd floor reading area - a nice rooftop terrace for doing yoga if you bring a mat I have 3 years of experience working for major brand hotels. Here’s where I think Onix Fira can stand to improve: - greeting guests at reception (did a guest have a long journey? Express curiosity, compassion and enthusiasm for the effort they’ve already made. No one wants to be on a 14 hour flight and be received by someone in a bad mood who looks like they have better things to do). - common sense fixes: a) put hooks on the bathroom doors so guests can hang wet towels, b) have a soap dish for your soap, c) the consequence of imitation stainless steel buttons for the toilet.. they leave fingerprint stains that look gross, d) have a blanket or bedspread available in the room and not just the top sheet even though it’s hot out, e) add hair dryers in bathroom, f) have a complimentary bottle of water ready for guests when they enter tthieir room, especially if it’s 90 degree weather in the summer. That’s humane. And no one charging $200/night+ has any business offering less - more pool lounge chairs during the summer - advertise with photos that don’t use a fishbowl lens, be honest that the pool is small - advertise honestly that one must climb 1.5 slights of stairs to reach pool. That’s an accessibility issue for disabled guests - have replenished towels available for guests - have the pool hours actually open during posted hours - offer activities for solo travelers to socialize; you have a whole beautiful 2nd floor level that could be a great space for games, wine tasting, a silly interaction of your choice. I never saw anyone use this space and activities could make the stay more worthwhile. - offer concierge services and recommendations - have a manager on duty available to talk to guests 7 days/week -consider different hallway lighting than red light; red light feels like a ******* Some specific stuff that went wrong in my stay: - key card for room stopped working after one night - power/electricity/AC went out 3x in one night - no one advertised there was construction in front of the hotel .. a total eyesore and noisy during weekdays - drunk guy wandering my floor thst no one stopped at reception and/or no one accompanied him to his room to make sure he wasn’t upsetting - no manager or person with decision making power was available to answer questions - no complimentary services offered for various inconveniences, not even empathy offered Hope things get better!

Pleasant Surprise in the Heart of Barcelona Rating:4/5 Stars Date of Stay:August 2024 --- Summary: We had a short break in Barcelona this week and were looking for a clean, well-located room, and that’s exactly what we got. The Park Hotel was a pleasant surprise and definitely shouldn’t be judged by its facade—we were truly impressed. Room: Our room on the sixth floor was spacious for a city hotel and had all the amenities you’d expect. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the pillows were firm and supportive—none of those mushy, overly soft ones you often find in hotels. The bathroom was well-equipped, though it might be a bit tight for larger guests. Cleanliness: The room was cleaned regularly, and any requests we had were promptly addressed. The pool area was also well-maintained, and the shower room available on our departure day was spotless, making our stay even more comfortable. Service: The service was reasonable overall. The staff managed multiple tasks at once, and although they sometimes appeared a bit stressed, they were always prompt, polite, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Location: The location is perfect for exploring Barcelona. It’s within easy walking distance of Barceloneta, Port Vell, and the El Born district. Plus, the hotel is directly opposite the train station, which made our day trip to Sitges incredibly convenient. Facilities: The hotel’s rooftop pool is a nice feature, with about 14 chairs available for sunbathing. The area gets busy in the mid-afternoon, especially when the summer sun is at its peak. The pool itself is a perfect size for a quick cool-down after exploring the city. Food and Drink: We had breakfast included with our booking, which offered all the basics you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. It was a good way to start the day and provided enough variety to fuel up before heading out. Value for Money: The Park Hotel offered excellent value for money, given its location, comfort, and amenities. Tips/Recommendations: This hotel is ideal if you enjoy a trendy food and cocktail scene combined with the bustling beach atmosphere. It’s a great base for exploring the best of what Barcelona has to offer. We would definitely return to the Park Hotel on our next visit to Barcelona.

This is our 1st time having such a bad experience stay. We were asked via WhatsApp to provide our personal passport info and to pay hotel tax via a payment link in the WhatsApp, it was received well in advance before our check-in. We found this way is very unusual, and due to uncertainty whether the message was from the property , we declined to pay the tax upfront. Then the so-called property staff claimed we disrespect them. I found absurd as we have fully paid our accommodation and told them will fully pay the tax upon check-in, of which it was a small amount as compared to the total 3 nights stay rate. After checked in, we found only one toilet roll is given without any tissue. So we requested for an extra, and becoz the weather was warm, we asked for a thin bedsheet instead of a given duvet. The property staff said need to charge us £50 simply for a thin pc of bedsheet!! We found this is ridiculous and giving us an extra toilet roll, they were unhappy. What is the cost of a toilet roll as compared to the high rate stay of this property as compared to nearby accommodation? They gave us an under expectation unit, with no view (see photo) , which is so much difference from the advertised photo. They objected to change room for us even though we told them the safe deposit box is spoilt on the day after checking in. Goodness was that they wanted us to clear the trash bins to bring it to ground floor on our last day ! I havn’t encountered this at all even in dome AirBnB units. We asked for Trash bags as their bin has not bag, the property staff said they provide no trash bags! So how are we supposed to help them to clear the trash if no bags provided? U expect us to buy trash bag and help them to clean? Totally ridiculous! HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED as the unit is small , odd room layout

I arrived in Barcelona a day earlier than my booking, and the hotel responded to my email incredibly quickly. They managed to accommodate all my requests so smoothly, which I truly appreciated. The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making my stay in Barcelona feel warm and genuinely welcoming from the very beginning. The location of the hotel is fantastic — everything is within walking distance, which made exploring the city so convenient. The room itself felt very secure and comforting, with a modern design. It was clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. I had a wonderful and restful stay for four nights. Another big plus was the complimentary 24-hour coffee and drinking water, which made the stay even more convenient and thoughtful. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona!
