A temple lodge with the only natural hot spring in Koyasan and a garden designed by Mirei Shigemori.
"Our stay at Fukuchi-In was amazing. We slept in a traditional japanese room and had a delicious dinner and breakfast in another incredibly beautiful room, shared with other guests.
We attended the morning prayers and enjoyed the indoor and outdoor onsens.
There was heating in the room :)"

"My first temple lodging experience here was truly wonderful. It's a very peaceful temple, not small at all, with a large garden. The evening reception service was comparable to a high-end ryokan; I was really grateful to the monk for carrying my luggage upstairs. Both meals were vegetarian (shojin ryori), purely vegan. The morning service brought a great sense of peace. Finally, I bought a Goshuin (temple seal) at the temple and was pleasantly surprised to find portraits of Oichi and Azai Nagamasa there."

"The room was very spacious and traditional. The bathroom had a japanese bath which we appreciated very much. The monks were very welcoming and nice, they explained everything.
We also attended the morning prayer at 7 am. Overall it was a great experience.
The dinner and breakfast were delicious."
Our temple served as the imperial seat for Emperor Goshirakawa! The main temple building was constructed during the Edo period!
"Loved the vibe of this place. It felt very traditional and was a super unique experience. The included dinner and breakfast were alright, not quite my speed but I enjoyed it for the most part. The morning ceremony at 6:45am was cool, and we were given a quick tour and history lesson after. The room was warm and clean, even after it snowed quite a bit overnight. The bath was great too. I’d definitely stay here again."

"A beautiful hotel. Very clean, feels renovated. This is the most delicious vegetarian breakfast and dinner! Morning at 6:30 a service, after which a small tour of the temple at which the hotel is located. Note that the hotel closes at 21:00. That is, it is impossible to get to the night on Okunoin."

"It is said to be the imperial residence of Emperor Toba and Empress. It has a beautiful environment and the hardware is new and clean. The location is good, in the middle, you can walk to major attractions in ten minutes. There is a short uphill walk to get off the bus.
I booked a Japanese-style room with a bathroom. I stayed in a room on the second floor. There was a small entrance hall, a sink, and a small bathroom at the entrance. It's very cold in Mount Koya in winter. With the air conditioner and heating on, the room is very warm.
The breakfast and dinner of Shojin cuisine are very sumptuous. In the morning class, the master will lead the chanting of sutras and incense, as well as Azi Temple meditation. If you want to participate in the fire offering, you need to make reservations at other temples. There are dedicated people who come to the room to take meals and morning classes, and the service is very considerate. I’ll come back next time during the red leaf season."

"This temple stay is amazing. Vegetarian breakfast and dinner was great. The morning prayer and fire ritual was great to take part in. They also offered an afternoon mediation tutorial. There was a night tour for the cemetery, however I did not take part. It was a little concerning that the English tour was ¥1000 yen more than the Japanese tour. Overall I highly recommend this place."

"This time in Japan for 10 days, the favorite is Wakayama. This tourist route is relatively niche, with fewer Chinese tourists. A Nanhai tram goes into the mountain without any caverns. The room was clean and the monks were friendly. It is recommended that you choose a meal with a meal to experience pure Japanese cuisine. Stay for 2 days and travel in depth. Tickets are the most cost-effective way to buy Nanhai tram sets, including Nanhai trams entering the mountain from the urban area, returning to the city, and an unlimited number of transportation cars at all attractions in Wakayama."
