Welcome to Blue Fox Cottage, our newly renovated, fox-themed, cozy cottage in the heart of downtown Black Mountain, NC. Just a 5 minute walk to the town center with a wide array of shops, restaurants, and breweries/bars. Come and enjoy this cozy 3 bedroom, 1 bath home with an awesome dog-friendly backyard patio area that includes a brand new hot tub, barrel sauna, and fire pit area.Explore our super cute, historic mountain town, or you're only 15-20 minutes to Asheville, Biltmore Estate, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. This freshly remodeled one-story cottage has an open concept design to maximize the living space for up to 6 guests. With 3 bedrooms and 1 bath, it's 1,000 sq ft is the perfect size for 2 couples with 2-3 kids, or it is a nice cozy fit for 3 couples. Just remember there is only one bathroom (draw straws for who showers first -- ha), but from experience we think 6 close friends can totally make it work comfortably. We are now dog-friendly - yay! We do have a maximum of two well-behaved dogs per stay and there is a flat $150 pet fee if you want to bring your fur-babies. We do ask that dogs stay off the furniture as much as possible and that you pick up after them in the yard. Our fenced in yard is great for pups to run around and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Don't worry, we provide poo bags, food bowls, and even designated dog-blankets and towels for muddy paws. :)Lots of places in Black Mountain are dog-friendly so taking your pups around town can be super fun! Please do be aware that bears roam around frequently in our area so leaving your dog unattended in the backyard is a beary bad idea... sorry, I had to.The home is furnished with memory foam beds. One bedroom has a king sized bed, one has a queen, and the third bedroom has a twin XL over Queen bunk bed.In the swoon-worthy kitchen, you'll find all the silverware, pots, pans and plates you'll need to pretend like you’re going to cook yourself dinner from scratch! ;)(But really, there is no need because the restaurants in our town are top-notch and lots are in walking distance.) The show-stopping quartz countertops overhang the navy blue, soft-close cabinets with gold finishes for bar seating. There is also a small dining table with two chairs that was handmade by a talented North Carolina artisan using walnut that was sourced locally. The top of the line washer and dryer can be found behind the bi-fold doors by the dining table, and laundry detergent is also provided. The living room is furnished with a nice flat-screen tv and super comfy leather couch where you'll be able to Netflix and chill with friends. There is a small marble coffee table, a navy velvet loveseat and a tv console with a built in electric fireplace that gives you all the cozy cottage vibes you could want. Also in the console you'll find a nice stack of books and games (with a few more in the coat closet) in case you want to have a family game night and order in.Since there is only one bathroom, we made sure it would make you say "Wow" with the blue herringbone feature tile wall, concrete-look tile floors, and a mid-century modern style vanity with gold hardware. Oh and did we mention the fabulous rainfall shower head or the overhead fan heater that keeps it nice and toasty in there?Don't forget to head out to the fenced in backyard because it is seriously a ~vibe~ in itself. The brand new stone patio equipped with a wood burning Solo Stove bonfire pit, comfy Adirondack chairs, and sparkly bistro lights is ideal for a relaxed evening at home. All you need is a bag of marshmallows and a bottle of wine and then you could call it heaven. We provide corn-hole boards and bags as well as a bocce ball set if you're feeling gamey. We also just added a brand new 6 person HOT TUB and a Barrel SAUNA- woot woot! Enjoy the soothing jetted bubbles under the sparkly bistro lights or sweat it out in the dry sauna heat for the ultimate relaxing mountain getaway. In terms of amenities, we've got you covered too! You'll have access to small, yet important, things like: An iron, blow dryer, towels, soap, cotton balls, coffee, sugar, tea, firewood, and more. Our little mountain cottage is just so great that you'll probably want to stay forever. :) We've had guests ask. Just kidding. (But seriously.)Guest accessThere is more than enough room for up to four cars in the driveway at once. The neighborhood is super walkable and is one of the closest residential streets to downtown Black Mountain. It still totally maintains a quiet residential feel and the neighbors are all super friendly.Other things to note:In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the cottage is equipped with an exterior security camera and ring doorbell.
