The house has 1 large bedroom with ensuite bathroom and two other large bedrooms with a shared bath, wood-burning fireplace, large front porch, large open plan kitchen, dining room, and all of the modern conveniences that you'd expect from a house that is less than 20 years old. If it's peace and quiet that you're after then this place is what you're looking for. It's a half-mile from the state highway on the top of a big hill so you have a panaramic degree view in all directions. The house is ideal for watching sunrises and sunsets but if you want to keep current on everything happening in the rest of the world then you can connect to the Wi-Fi. Bed linen, pillows, and towels are provided for all 3 bedrooms. Our guest safety is always one of our top priorities and the house has a full basement with a concrete floor and walls that is accessed via a staircase through the laundry room. In the event of a storm or tornado warning guests can go to the basement and be safe until the storm passes. The basement also has a separate secure outside walkout staircase with a steel door that provides an exit directly away from the house into the yard in case of a catastrophic weather event. We recently added solar panels to harvest the sun's free electrical energy and we feel good that we're doing everything we can to lower our house's use of commercial electricity that is generated using coal in this area.
