"When visiting Nanhua Temple, we chose the closest and best-designed guesthouse. Later, we ate at a nearby farmhouse restaurant, which the owner also said was the best guesthouse in the area. We arrived from Guangzhou in the evening. The lobby was warmly lit, and since a cold snap had hit the previous night, the fireplace was lit as soon as we entered the guesthouse, making us feel right at home. We booked a room with a slide for our child, who was incredibly happy. He played on the slide by himself, listened to stories in the tent, took a bath, and slept soundly. It's worth mentioning that there was underfloor heating! It was very convenient for him to play in socks with the heating on. The staff at the guesthouse were all very helpful, making it a very satisfying stay. Families with children should definitely consider this option!"

"I booked one night for the Dragon Boat Festival, and when I arrived, the scenery was so stunning it far exceeded my expectations, so I extended my stay for another night. I rarely leave reviews voluntarily, but I just couldn't help myself this time. I kept raving about it, praising my husband for picking such a great place. First, let's talk about the scenery. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unbeatable view: country paths below, a babbling brook, and crops – it all brought back fond memories of my childhood. Nan Shui Lake is nearby, and it's a short drive to Yun Mountain. Second, although it's a guesthouse, the hotel environment feels just as good as a five-star hotel. The bedding and towels were very clean, and the toiletries provided were excellent; I even took the unused ones with me when I left, haha, I just couldn't bear to throw them away. Third, the food was also fantastic. The complimentary afternoon tea, beer, and coffee were all great. But the most important thing is that the food ingredients were incredibly fresh. I personally saw the staff go out to buy groceries after we ordered our meals. The chicken was probably from their backyard, freshly slaughtered, and the eggs were super fresh, as was the corn, picked straight from the field. Even better, everything tasted absolutely delicious. We ate three meals there, and each time we cleaned our plates. Fourth, the air in the mountains is so fresh and it's incredibly quiet. All you can hear are the wind, the water, and birdsong. It's truly stress-relieving! As someone who's lived in the city for five or six years, staying here for a few days brought an unprecedented level of joy; it's so therapeutic! "I've stayed in Shaoguan several times, and this is by far the best hotel. Firstly, the location is great, close to the Mall City. Secondly, the hotel is new, and all the facilities are excellent. There are a couple of downsides though: first, people who aren't hotel guests can also use the pool, making the crowd a bit mixed. Second, the charging stations in the parking lot and on the ground floor are just for show; I had to drive to Sinopec to charge my car. I hope they can improve this."

"The room was excellent, very grand, and had a vintage feel; it was a very prestigious luxury five-star hotel from over a decade ago. The decor and facilities reflected this vintage atmosphere. The water pressure from the taps was strong and plentiful, and the drains were unclogged and odorless. The location was also excellent, offering views of the century-old Dongjie Street and the Beijiang River. The breakfast wasn't extensive, but it was much better than typical chain hotels, and I was quite full. The receptionist was very polite, and the other staff were also very helpful. The only slightly eerie thing was the presence of a middle-aged man. We went to bed very late last night, and when I woke up groggily, I felt a middle-aged man walk into the door. I tried to call my sister, but couldn't. I wondered if he might be... He started to move, and then I realized he was fighting for control of my body. I felt like I was struggling, kicking, and screaming, but I couldn't make a sound. Later, I got really hungry, so I told him we had fried rice on the table for lunch and we could go eat it. After a while, I realized I could move again, so I got up, immediately turned on the light, and rummaged through my bag, taking out all the amulets inside. My sister asked me what I was doing, but I didn't dare tell her for fear of scaring her. I said it would be easier to sleep if I laid them out. Then I turned on the hallway light, and it took me a long time to fall asleep. I stay in so many hotels every year, but this is the only thing I've never really experienced before. It was so scary. Our room number ended in 26, and I can't say which floor it was. Then I remembered that the hotel didn't have a room with the number 4, so I avoided the possibility of starving to death with room number 24. It was terrifying."

"Driving back to Guangzhou from Zhuzhou, we decided to rest for a night in Shaoguan. This Holiday Inn is conveniently located just 3 kilometers off the highway. It's a relatively new hotel. When checking in, the two young ladies at the front desk, Sophia and Lucy, were incredibly friendly and charming, always smiling. They even helped us with a room upgrade and gave us a small gift, really understanding what guests need. Our room was spotless and tidy, the bed was super comfortable, and it was very quiet outside the window, so we had a wonderful night's sleep. Breakfast the next morning didn't have a huge variety, but there was still enough to find what you liked. For just over 300 a night, the value for money is pretty good. After breakfast, we drove to Nanhua Temple, which only took about 17 minutes."
