"On this trip to Hefei for business, after comparing several hotels, I finally chose the Shangri-La, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. The hotel boasts an excellent location on North First Ring Road, making it very convenient to take a taxi to shopping districts and pedestrian streets. There are also many diverse Anhui cuisine restaurants nearby, so finding food is effortless. The lobby incorporates elements of Huizhou design, creating a serene and elegant atmosphere without any noise or commotion. The moment you step in, you can feel the quality of a five-star hotel. Check-in was very efficient, and the staff were polite and gentle throughout. A special thanks goes to the Guest Relations Specialist, who communicated with me online about my itinerary in advance and thoughtfully prepared a handwritten welcome card and local souvenirs. The attention to detail was impeccable, and any requests I messaged were quickly responded to. They were gentle, professional, and always put the guest first. The guest room was spacious and airy, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows on a high floor offering expansive views, where the city's nightscape could be fully enjoyed in the evening. The cleaning was meticulous; corners and bathroom mirrors were spotless. The mattress was moderately firm, and the soundproofing was excellent – I couldn't hear any traffic from the street during the day, ensuring a particularly peaceful night's rest. The bathroom amenities were comprehensive, and the toiletries were of high quality, making for a supremely comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety, catering to both Chinese and Western tastes. The freshly cooked noodles and local beef soup tasted authentic, and there was a full selection of desserts, fruits, and hot dishes, all delicious. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive; the 24-hour gym is well-equipped, and the heated swimming pool has clean water, perfect for relaxing in your free time. From the concierge and front desk to room service, all staff members maintained an appropriate sense of discretion, never overly intrusive, yet always ready to assist when needed. Whether for a business trip or a short getaway, this hotel is highly suitable. I will definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Hefei, and I sincerely recommend it to everyone!"

"I stayed here a few years ago and had a great experience, so when I was passing through Hefei again, I chose the Grand Hyatt! The service is consistently excellent, and they even upgraded me to a suite for free. The first time I stayed here, I was also in a suite, and I really love the layout of the suites. The living room is quite spacious, the TV can cast content, and the night view from the corner window is absolutely fantastic! The soundproofing in the room is good, which is great for light sleepers. The lighting design is also very reasonable, the air conditioning is comfortable, and it has a double-sink vanity. The only minor drawback is that it's not a smart toilet. There are a limited number of parking spaces in front of the hotel. Although I called ahead to reserve a spot and was told they'd call back, I never received a call. When I arrived, I waited a bit, and a car just happened to leave, so I got a spot. I think this point is a slight deficiency; their internal coordination wasn't great. The location is excellent; MixC shopping mall is right downstairs. But every advantage has its disadvantage – it gets very congested! There's no robot delivery for takeout, so you need to pick it up yourself, but if you contact the butler, they can help deliver it. Overall, the stay was quite good. I'll definitely choose the Grand Hyatt again next time I'm in Hefei!"

"The hotel is a 15-minute taxi ride from the high-speed train station, and it's just a short drive to the nearby Intime commercial street. From my room, I had a clear view of the surrounding office buildings. The workspace in the room was excellent, with a well-designed small desk and chair. The front desk staff, Elsa and Naomi, were incredibly warm and attentive. They even offer multi-port chargers and umbrellas for loan. The Wi-Fi was stable, and I had no issues with video conferences. In the evening, I explored the 'Tianjie Xiaoxiang' area recommended by the hotel, which had a wonderful local vibe. Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM, so it's convenient for those catching early flights as they can pack it to go. This hotel perfectly balances efficiency and a sense of local life. Highly recommend for business travelers. I'll definitely be back!"

The value for money is outstanding, and I felt completely comfortable and at ease during my stay. "I initially booked a select room, but since one wasn't available, they thoughtfully upgraded me to an executive suite for free. The environment is quite good, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into maintaining it. The breakfast service was also very attentive, which is a big plus, and the variety of breakfast options was decent. The only minor downside is that some of the facilities are a bit old, especially noticeable in the bathroom. Also, the space for afternoon tea and dinner is quite small, though the food itself was satisfying. Overall, the room quality is excellent, and it felt like a very good experience for the price."

"Before check-in, I communicated online with the hotel, and they kindly upgraded me to an Executive King Room, for which I'd like to extend a special thanks to hotel customer service, Ketty. The hotel's Superior and Deluxe rooms are quite old and lack separate shower stalls, requiring you to shower inside the bathtub. However, the Executive Rooms have been renovated and come with independent shower stalls. I particularly loved the layout of this Executive King Room. Each floor of the hotel has four Executive King Rooms. The ceilings aren't particularly high, but what truly amazed me was the window. While not a floor-to-ceiling window, it's like a perfect picture frame, capturing the outdoor scenery beautifully, especially at sunset. (I was lucky during my stay; perhaps because it had rained for a few days prior, there was a stunning sunset that evening.) If you catch good weather, you can wake up and enjoy breathtaking views right from your bed. It truly made me appreciate the ingenious design. Furthermore, the Executive Rooms were renovated in 2016. Even though it's been 10 years, they already had control switches for the curtains and sheers, which I think was quite advanced for its time. Although the switches look a bit dated now, they are refreshingly simple and easy to understand, unlike some newly opened hotels today where you sometimes stare at switches for ages, not knowing what each one does. I believe this is something current hotels could learn from. Given the hotel's age (I believe it was Anhui Province's first five-star hotel), it's understandable that the hallway carpets might have a slight odor. However, air freshener was sprayed in the room, so it wasn't an issue. Regarding hygiene, I found the basic cleanliness to be acceptable, though there were quite a few long hairs on the luggage rack and sofa. Also, the hand soap dispenser felt sticky when I first entered the room (I suspect a previous guest might have touched it after applying lotion), and there were some water stains in the kettle. I think the housekeeping department could pay a bit more attention to these details in the future. Breakfast is served in the revolving restaurant on the 29th floor, offering changing views from the window, which is quite unique. The food quality was decent, including some meat dishes like roasted chicken. Overall, it was good. However, one point I think needs improvement: I tried to find a waiter to clear my table, but three different staff members told me it wasn't their responsibility and that I needed to wait for the designated table clearer. After I finished getting all my food, the table clearer still hadn't arrived, and I couldn't even see where they were. Eventually, I had no choice but to ask for help a fourth time before someone came to clear the table. I suspect there might have only been one staff member responsible for clearing tables at the time, and they were overwhelmed. I suggest the hotel consider increasing staffing levels. (On that note, this also applies to nighttime service staff. It seems that at night, the concierge, housekeeping, and F&B departments are all off-duty, with only the front desk online. Sometimes, when the front desk staff deliver items to rooms, the phone might go unanswered. I once tried to call the front desk at night and it rang for two minutes with no answer, which I suspect was due to this very reason.) Overall, I think this hotel offers excellent value for money. Although it's older, it still performs well in certain aspects, giving off the vibe of an 'old Ferrari is still a Ferrari.' Its location is also fantastic, just a few hundred meters walk from Huaihe Road Pedestrian Street. Huaihe Road Pedestrian Street at night is bustling with life, where you can not only visit local favorites like KaWangKa and ZhanJi but also enjoy delicious food at specialty shops like Luzhou Roast Duck Restaurant and Huajiawang, making for a very pleasant experience. While there might be room for improvement in some hygiene details and staffing levels, it doesn't detract from it being a hotel worth staying at."
