The hotel service was very warm and attentive, and they even gave us a small gift. The room felt quite unique as soon as we walked in, and you could tell many details were carefully designed – young people would especially love it. The only minor drawback is that the soundproofing isn't the best, but I'm still giving it five stars."

"Seriously speechless! I stayed at the InterContinental Hotel in Hefei, supposedly a high-end IHG property, and the experience was utterly disappointing! The air conditioning's cooling mode was completely useless; I couldn't adjust the temperature at all. It was stuck on a freezing cold setting the entire time. I woke up several times in the middle of the night shivering, even wrapped in the duvet! This is the first time I've ever encountered something like this. Paying a high price for a 'luxury' hotel, and they can't even get basic AC temperature control right. There was zero comfort. It's ridiculously bad, a complete no-go. I will never, ever come back to the InterContinental Hefei! Plus, many others have complained about the AC on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book), so the hotel must be aware but clearly has no intention of fixing it. Absolutely terrible!"

"The worst check-in experience ever, I fractured a bone from a fall! Both physically and mentally damaged! Good people always get taken advantage of!! I stayed in room 1117 for a business trip, and the bathroom floor drain was completely blocked. Three minutes into my shower, the water rose above my calves and spilled out of the bathroom for over ten meters, causing me to slip and fall while naked, injuring myself. The hotel did nothing to address it or offer compensation, their attitude was perfunctory, and it was disheartening! You can see the videos and photos for details. I don't know why I can't upload the video, but I recorded a 6-minute video, and I have also reported this to the government and my lawyer! I checked into room 1117, a Deluxe Twin Room, on July 31st. Around noon on August 1st, while showering, something felt wrong after only three minutes. I looked down and saw the water was already above my ankles, my entire feet submerged. I immediately turned off the water. My hair was already lathered with shampoo. I checked the bathroom floor drain and found it completely blocked. Since the bathroom door doesn't seal completely when closed, I suspected the water had spilled out of the bathroom. I opened the door and found the water had spread over ten meters, almost reaching the carpeted area by the bed. I didn't dare to continue showering, fearing the water would spread further. At the time, I was even worried about the hotel's wooden wardrobe getting damaged by water. Now, I'm truly slapped in the face! I was thinking for the hotel, but where did the hotel treat guests as human beings?! At that moment, I was naked and my eyes were stinging from the shampoo foam, making it impossible to even call the hotel for repairs. I could only struggle to deal with my personal situation in the large puddle of water while wearing the hotel's disposable paper slippers. I painstakingly washed my hair at the sink, with my feet submerged in the dirty water on the floor the entire time. My feet and lower legs turned red and itchy. During this time, because there were no anti-slip measures on either the inside or outside of the bathroom tiles, I slipped and fell in the water outside the bathroom, injuring my leg and waist. This fall was entirely due to the hotel's infrastructure failure, and the hotel should be fully responsible! After the fall, I endured the pain for about half an hour to clean myself up. I even used a towel to wipe the water off the floor and swept the water back into the bathroom. I was still thinking of the hotel at every turn! Afterwards, I went to the front desk on the first floor to check out and complain. I demanded that the hotel compensate me five times the room rate and cover the medical expenses for subsequent check-ups on my leg and skin. Li Li, the front desk staff responsible for handling this matter, explicitly rejected my compensation request on behalf of the hotel, only stating that they would inspect the room for me next time. Her attitude throughout was perfunctory and unhelpful. I told her there was no way I would stay at their hotel again and requested to speak with a higher-level manager. Li Li repeatedly said "I'm sorry" and "I'll handle this," but instead of actively solving the problem for a guest who was both physically and mentally harmed, she merely brushed me off. The Crowne Plaza Hotel Hefei is a five-star chain hotel and was advertised on the Ctrip Business Travel platform, which is why I booked it. Why does the hotel not even inspect the basic facilities in its rooms? Why do the hotel's facilities and services completely fail to meet the standards of a Crowne Plaza chain hotel? Why does the hotel have a rating of 4.7 and is still five-star? Are the good reviews fabricated? They have money to buy ad space, but when a guest's rights are severely violated, they are perfunctory, dismissive, and cold. Why can such a hotel still appear in recommendations? Why can it still be part of the Crowne Plaza chain? How many more innocent people will it mislead? If an elderly person, a child, or even a pregnant woman were to encounter such a situation today and fall, how would the hotel take responsibility? 2. The hotel cannot even guarantee basic facilities, let alone its hygiene conditions. My feet were submerged in dirty water for half an hour, turning red and itchy. I need to return to Shanghai for further examination to see if I've contracted a skin disease! The hotel's floor drain should be the most important inspection point in the bathroom, yet it was blocked without the hotel being aware. Throughout the process, only one female front desk employee was sent to deal with me, while all decision-making management personnel were hidden. One can only imagine how many other problems exist in the hotel's other room facilities and services. It is astonishing that a five-star chain hotel does nothing and offers no compensation when a guest is injured from a fall. When I complained at the front desk, my hair was still wet, and I was in a terrible state. All the front desk staff and guests checking in clearly saw it and can testify. The hotel's attitude at the time was extremely perfunctory. 3. Every word I've said is true. You can see the video below for details. I am reporting this hotel by my real name for serious facility issues, its inability to solve problems, and its extremely poor service attitude, which truly does not match its 4.7 rating and its recommendation on Ctrip Business Travel.
