"I moved here from a guesthouse on Zhongshan Street, and I highly recommend staying in Jinjiang, especially at this established five-star hotel. On the last day, when heading to the airport, the hotel can arrange a business car service. I suggest asking the front desk about reservations for this service in advance when you check in. We only found out about it when we tried to call a taxi on the day we were leaving, so we canceled our ride-hailing app and took the hotel's car instead."

"Stayed for one night spontaneously and it truly exceeded my expectations! The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up, and the breakfast spread was so extensive it was hard to choose. Sivan, the guy at the front desk, was super nice and adjusted our room really quickly. If you have any questions, he's definitely the one to ask. The free parking is a huge bonus, I'll definitely be back!"

The Hilton Quanzhou Riverside (Quanzhou Quanshang Xierdun Jiudian), a vibrant location overlooking the Jinjiang River, is only 20 minutes' drive from the airport and railway station, and 10 minutes' drive from downtown Quanzhou. The hotel will delight both leisure and business travellers with spacious rooms featuring astounding views of either the riverside or city skyline, a host of tantalising culinary options and impeccable service.

"The service is definitely commendable. The staff member, Nan, was very friendly and efficient with the check-in process, and the room was spotlessly clean. The only downside is that the hotel's main sign is a bit small, and the parking directions are unclear. I had to drive around once to find it, which was quite disappointing for a first-time guest. I hope the hotel can add clearer and more prominent directional signs in both the underground parking lot and on the ground level. This improvement would greatly benefit guests arriving by car and enhance the overall experience by making the hotel's presence more apparent throughout the entire area."

"This hotel is simply perfect! The room was huge, and the cleaning staff tidied up every day. Every evening, they'd bring sweet soups like tremella or red bean, along with fruit, right to our room. The restaurant on the 22nd floor was also great; we could leisurely enjoy breakfast there before heading out. There's a gym and a pool on the 6th floor. Speaking of which, I almost gave a bad review. When I chose this hotel, it was specifically because of their swimming pool. However, when I got there, I found out that during the Chinese New Year period, the pool hours were only from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM. This is exactly when we were out and about! How could anyone use the pool then? I was so annoyed. But, considering their excellent service, I let it go and still gave a full five stars. I also want to give a special shout-out to ”Huihui” at the front desk. We accidentally left something in the hotel fridge and only realized it after we'd checked out. Huihui very enthusiastically helped us find it and even mailed it to us. We're so grateful! All in all, this is a hotel with complete facilities, thoughtful service, and a warm, lovely atmosphere. It's the kind of cozy place that made us look forward to coming back to rest every day after a tiring day of sightseeing."

KAIPUU ON THE REEF, a boutique hotel located on the southern peninsula coastline of Quanzhou, is interior designed by designer Xie Ke. KAIPUU ON THE REEF is one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World. "KAIPUU" originates from the Finnish word "kaukokaipuu," which denotes a strong yearning and intense desire to embrace unexplored lands, and advocates a new philosophy of living in the moment. The hotel's lobby preserves the pristine visage of the reef stone, boasting a 270-degree panoramic view of the maritime horizon, nestled against the crescent beach, and offering seaside accommodations. 53 rooms and suites neighbor sea-gazing terraces; complemented by an overwater infinity pool, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, a cigar lounge and tearoom, an exquisite seafood and steakhouse, and a rooftop observatory ceremonial hall.

"The staff truly impressed me; it felt like they genuinely love this hotel and the city. Our stay coincided with the 'Er Yue Er' festival (2nd day of the 2nd ***** month), and the hotel held a small folk ceremony. As someone from the North, it was my first time witnessing such an event. The staff were so welcoming, eager to introduce us to the customs, invite us to watch, and even shared the ceremonial food with us – I'm incredibly grateful. On another evening, my child was upset, and our butler, who was an absolute angel, conjured up a toy! This toy has been inseparable from him since we returned to Beijing; he absolutely adores it! The surprise element made such an impression that my three-year-old still remembers it as a gift from a kind '姐姐' (older sister) at a Quanzhou hotel. The dining experience was exceptional. The restaurant is small but exquisite, and all three meals were perfectly executed! The hotel's design is beyond reproach, but I want to highlight the details: First, the turndown service included milk, which I haven't seen in ages. Even hotels priced at over 3,000 RMB a night in China rarely offer turndown milk, but Seven Suites did, along with a pillow spray – simply perfect! Second, the mini-bar snacks beautifully blended the hotel's caliber with local specialties. It seems like a simple thing to do, yet so few hotels manage it as well as this one. Fantastic!"

"This hotel definitely doesn't meet five-star standards. The room was practically empty, just a coffee table, a chair, and the bed – that's it. When we asked for an extra chair, they brought a folding one, but there was no sofa, no proper desk… nothing else. What truly surprised me was how hot the room was. My husband was sweating profusely, thinking the AC wasn't strong enough. Turns out, when we finally got through to reception (side note: the phone was initially hard to connect, and the QR code for hotel services in the room was invalid – it felt like the hotel was on its last legs, honestly), the staff admitted the air conditioning wasn't even on! This is supposed to be a five-star hotel! They only agreed to turn it on after we insisted. My guess is they keep it off everywhere and only activate it for specific rooms when guests complain, all to save money and cut corners. The tea set in the room was shoddy – cheap enamel mugs you'd find on the street for a couple of bucks, and disposable cups. Again, I was shocked. There wasn't even any welcome fruit. Yet, the bathroom was huge and had a big bathtub. The luxurious size of the bathroom and the sparse, basic amenities in the bedroom created a bizarre contrast! They absolutely refused to add a children's meal to breakfast. It seems breakfast is their only real revenue stream. I heard it's quite lavish, though not much meat, and costs around 180 per person? The owner clearly has a strong grasp on saving money and maximizing profit; I have to admire that! So, do I recommend it? You decide for yourself. To be honest, I'm not exaggerating anything. I wonder if many other reviews are fake, but mine certainly isn't! 🤷"

Wulin Retreat

Qingpu never disappoints. This is my third Qingpu stay, following Baisha Qingpu and Nanjing Tulou Qingpu – now Jinjiang Wulin Qingpu. It's both familiar and unique; familiar in the consistent comfort and coziness, and unique in how each property's design brilliantly incorporates local characteristics. Wulin Qingpu is nestled within the ancient Wulin village. Staying in a traditional red-brick house (hongzhuan cuo) truly lifts your spirits! Every time we'd step out of our room, we could see the surprise and envy on the faces of passing tourists (haha). My child absolutely loved the room, almost refusing to come out and explore the ancient village with me. The ancient village, both in the morning and evening, is quiet, peaceful, and absolutely worth experiencing! So, staying at Jinjiang Wulin Qingpu is a must!

A romantic and convenient stay! The hotel is within walking distance to the airport, saving time and hassle for travel. The room's floor-to-ceiling windows offer a direct view of the airport. The dry/wet separate bathroom and comfortable bedding enhanced the quality of sleep. The breakfast was plentiful, with fresh seafood ingredients, and the freshly prepared noodle station was a highlight. The staff were enthusiastic, recommending local delicacies. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, making it the perfect start to our trip.

The hotel is good value for money. The price did not increase much during the 5.1 period. The underground parking lot of the hotel was full at night and could not be entered. Cars can be parked on the road near the hotel. The overall decoration is a bit old, but the sound insulation is quite good. I am particularly satisfied with the hotel's self-service laundry, which is friendly to families with children who come out to play for many days. There was a small episode when checking in. The big bed I booked was given a twin bed, but breakfast for the children was given. The breakfast was also OK. There were a lot of people on holidays. We went at 9 o'clock and there were a lot of people. Things were taken quickly and there was no replenishment later. It is recommended that everyone arrive half an hour earlier. Overall, I am satisfied. The hotel is not far from SM Plaza, which is convenient for eating and other things. It is also not far from Wulin. If you want to drive to Quanzhou Ancient City, you can arrive within half an hour.

I booked a 'Deluxe King Room' for a 4-day, 3-night stay. Upon check-in, the front desk agent, Ms. Zheng Jianting, kindly upgraded me to a 'Luxury King Room' free of charge. That night, the central air conditioning was stuck at 26 degrees Celsius, making it impossible to sleep due to the heat. I immediately informed the front desk, and the hotel manager, Mr. Li, along with front desk staff He Ting and Wang Yichao, proactively addressed the issue. They then upgraded me from the Luxury King Room to an Executive Suite, and later, once again, upgraded me to a Presidential Annex Suite without any hesitation. The housekeeping staff, particularly Ms. Wang Famin, provided warm and sincere service. On the morning after my check-in, when I went for breakfast, perhaps a bit late, I noticed two issues: first, the variety of dishes was limited, and second, there were no staff members guiding guests. I provided feedback to the hotel, and to my pleasant surprise, the very next day, the restaurant not only had a richer selection of dishes but also had several service staff present. I commend the hotel for its willingness to genuinely accept customer feedback and promptly implement improvements. I want to thank all the aforementioned staff members for their warm and sincere service and hope the hotel recognizes their excellent work. I wish the hotel continues to strive for even higher service quality and enjoys thriving business.

This stay was such a pleasant surprise! The hotel facilities are brand new and fully equipped. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, and the bedding was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of bed. The staff were smiling throughout, proactively helped us with our luggage, and thoughtfully recommended local restaurants. I even forgot my charger, and a staff member quickly brought one up – truly impressive! It genuinely felt like a home away from home. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

It's very close to the company where I'm traveling and the transportation is convenient. The hotel's appearance and lobby are very grand. This style suits my taste😊. I couldn't help but take a few photos. The front desk upgraded me to a room with floor-to-ceiling windows for free. The room is very big. , the abalone rice in the restaurant on the first floor is delicious and recommended.
