"This is a five-diamond hotel located within the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. It's actually a few hundred meters past the old east gate of the scenic area, right before Wangmeng Town. The location is excellent, very close to the Xiaoqikong Bridge and Laya Waterfall. Xiaoqikong has changed a lot; shuttle buses now operate within the scenic area, which is very convenient for tourists, though it has somewhat diminished the unique charm of the original forest edge landscapes. Since it wasn't peak season this time, the hotel price was quite favorable, which was nice. We had a bit of bad luck this trip; it had rained heavily in Libo a few days prior, so the water in Xiaoqikong, though clean, had a yellowish tint. It lacked the characteristic clear turquoise and deep blue hues we'd seen in different sections of the river in the past. The hotel's service was excellent. The sink in the bathroom was a bit clogged, and after one phone call, maintenance staff arrived immediately to fix it. Turns out, a previous guest had thrown a piece of clear adhesive from a band-aid into the basin, which got stuck with hair further down, blocking the drain. It's a shame that some guests have such poor etiquette; a thoughtless act like that can cause problems for others. The hotel breakfast was decent, with a good variety of local Guizhou specialties and standard breakfast options. The only downside was the bacon and Western-style sausages. Guizhou lacks companies that produce high-quality Western sausages, and those generally made in China are often just mediocre. I'd suggest Guizhou consider introducing enterprises like Germany's Schindele to produce high-quality Western sausages, bacon, and other products using Guizhou's excellent pork, beef, and lamb as raw materials. Supplying these to major hotels would elevate the dining experience in Guizhou and even the entire Southwest region. Furthermore, Guizhou Dragon's cured and smoked products are excellent. Perhaps they could offer spicy sausages, cured pork, and braised pork made from Congjiang fragrant pigs to consumers, which might better showcase the unique flavors of Guizhou cuisine than some of the bland, uninspired products currently available."

"Our stay at the Grand Skylight Hotel in Libo, Guizhou, was absolutely fantastic! The hotel's location is perfect, with a private, convenient passage directly to the Xiaoqikong scenic area, making sightseeing incredibly easy and stress-free. The rooms are spacious and elegant, with a refined and tidy layout. Anna at the front desk was exceptionally thoughtful, attentive, and enthusiastic. All the staff were very accommodating, patiently answering all our questions with professional and warm service. The overall environment, facilities, and service were impeccable. This is definitely our top choice for a vacation stay in Xiaoqikong, and we'll certainly choose this hotel again for our next visit!"

"The location is excellent – within walking distance to the business district, yet the hotel itself is tucked away in a quiet spot. The service was also fantastic; the staff were very friendly and always eager to help. I even forgot my room card when checking out, but they handled it smoothly without an issue. The biggest surprise was catching the official drone show and fireworks display right next to the hotel; the hotel offers a perfect viewing spot!"

"My partner and I chose the Wuyue Mountain Fishing Hidden Luxury B&B, and it was a truly wonderful choice! Nestled beside a river and lake, surrounded by mountains and water, the scenery is picturesque, as if we were transported to a romantic landscape painting. Lying on the terrace chairs at night, gazing at the starry sky together and feeling the gentle breeze, it was a wonderful feeling that added so much sweetness to our relationship. The room amenities were fantastic, with a Dyson hair dryer, L'Occitane toiletries, and De Rucci bedding, providing the ultimate in comfort. The butler service was incredibly attentive and responsive, preparing a romantic couple's dinner and arranging kayaking activities for us, allowing us to fully enjoy our time together. In short, this is a couple's paradise, and we'll definitely be back!"

"🌿 Great Emotional Value, Though Some Details Need Improvement I recently stayed at La Mere Ancienne in Guiyang. Overall, it was a warm experience, but there were some ups and downs. The Highlights: The ”Emotional Value” here is excellent. The nine-grid breakfast was both beautiful and delicious, especially the authentic beef rice noodles. Since it wasn't crowded, the waiter spent a lot of time chatting with the elderly members of our family, sharing many interesting fun facts, which made them very happy. We also received a beautiful tie-dye silk scarf as a parting gift. Later on, the staff was patient enough to upgrade our room, and the Yao herbal bath was perfect for removing all our fatigue. The Downsides: However, the check-in process left something to be desired. Although the room features a private herbal bath, the staff didn't proactively offer or deliver the herbs until we asked. Additionally, we were told that the afternoon snacks were already sold out when we arrived. Summary: While the initial service was a bit passive, the subsequent hospitality and the unique atmosphere made up for it. A solid choice, but I hope they can improve their proactiveness during check-in!"

"We visited Xiaoqikong and Daqikong right before the May Day holiday. After a lot of research online for routes and comparisons, we decided to book this hotel. We booked two rooms for two adults and two children. The decor is new, but there's no renovation smell at all. The rooms are spacious, about twice the size of a typical city hotel room. There are plenty of power outlets, which is great for all our electronics. The design is really strong; it skillfully avoids that cluttered feeling some hotels get when they try too hard to be stylish. It's super convenient, only about a 200-meter walk to the West Gate of Xiaoqikong. There aren't many commercial facilities around, so you can eat at the hotel (the chef was on vacation when we were there, so we only had hotpot and can't comment on the à la carte dishes). Breakfast is served as a set meal, and the portions are quite generous – none of us ever finished it all. Outside the hotel's main entrance, there's a luggage storage area where you can drop off your bags and have them sent directly to the East Gate. The service was excellent. We stayed two nights, and on our departure day, we left our luggage to be sent to the East Gate, but I forgot to take a picture of the pick-up point's address and phone number at the East Gate. I realized this after we had exited the East Gate and contacted the hotel. The hotel manager promptly went out, took a picture, and sent it to me. I'm very grateful for their quick resolution to a sudden problem. Five-star rating for the hotel! Highly recommend!"

"The location of the hotel is indeed a bit far from the scenic spot. A taxi from the train station for more than 10 kilometers costs about 25 yuan, and a taxi from the hotel to Xiaoqikong Scenic Area in Libo costs about 60 yuan. The room was very clean and quiet at night. The girl from Shuizu who checked me in also helped recommend a delicious restaurant. After searching, it was still the top restaurant here, but the price was very cheap, called Douhua Noodles, 10 yuan. Just so full. The hotel also sent a fruit plate in the evening, and the service was also good. In fact, I didn’t feel it was very far when I walked back to the hotel from the ancient town; it’s far away from the bustling city, and the staff are friendly. The surrounding environment is just average, and those who have strict environmental requirements may not like it here. However, the check-in hall is very classic, regardless of the surroundings. "The hotel is located on the bank of Zhangjiang River, with convenient transportation. The rooms are comfortable, clean and sanitary. The service is very good. The breakfast is ok, especially the rice noodles and rice crust. Parking is convenient."

"Family Experience and Feelings: Advantages: 1. Excellent location next to the ancient city. 2. The rooftop swimming pool is quite nice with a wide view. 3. The staff were very attentive and provided good service, but the products and details didn't live up to the price. 4. The hotel has a light luxury design with a nice bar atmosphere. 5. The breakfast was delicious and nutritionally balanced, with freshly cut fruit and freshly ground coffee available in the morning. 6. The complimentary gift of wine and small tea packets was a thoughtful touch. 7. High-speed rail shuttle service was provided, but we didn't use it. Disadvantages: 1. The location is average; there are no views from the rooms, as it's located in a corner on the edge of the ancient city. 2. The fruit and pastries served initially weren't fresh. 3. The room design is unreasonable; the bathroom glass in the standard room and family room is semi-transparent. 4. There's no extra place to hang clothes in the room, and the electrical outlets are unstable. The air conditioner switch is conveniently located in the middle of the bed; it's very hot when you enter, and you have to run to the bed to turn it on. The room lacks smart home features, unlike other rooms costing around 200 yuan. 5. The foot bath basin was tiny, the herbal medicine packet was also tiny, and the water they delivered was probably boiling water; I almost got scalded. I had to add cold water until it was almost overflowing before I could soak my feet. Compare that to the huge packet from Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. "
