"Returning to familiar Libo, I stumbled upon this newly opened guesthouse and booked it for 1275 yuan. I particularly appreciate the grandeur and unique design of high-end hotels and guesthouses. This guesthouse, Sanyu Nanting, with ”La Mere Ancienne” (meaning ”Ancient Mother”), hints at a French retro or neoclassical style, blending the elegance of a European manor with the ambiance of an oriental courtyard. It boasts a classic design and is recommended for those who appreciate artistry and uniqueness.
The air conditioning was excellent; in Libo's heat, it would be unbearable without it. Despite being a new hotel, there was virtually no smell of recent renovations. The exterior walls, rooms, and public areas, except for the furniture, were all white, creating a refreshing, clean, and comfortable atmosphere. The room's air purifier, perhaps due to the hot weather in Libo, also suggests the use of high-quality materials. The toiletries were unique, with a pleasant scent and excellent quality—a common feature in high-end guesthouses. The toilet was a TOTO smart toilet, and the linens, mattress, latex, and down pillows were also high-end features typical of high-end guesthouses and hotels. The room I booked had a terrace with a soaking tub, but unfortunately, it rained, so I couldn't use it. Although it was raining, it was still a bit hot. I drank two bottles of beverage from the mini-fridge. The smart voice-controlled Tmall Genie worked quite well.
The private butler service was excellent, the breakfast was exquisite, and the bar in the room offered imported liquor and coffee. Worried about having trouble sleeping, the butler made me a complimentary cup of black tea; the color alone showed its high quality. Around 10 am, the outside was bustling; apparently, it was the grand opening. Around 11:50 am, I went downstairs and happened to encounter the opening buffet. Although I wasn't very hungry after breakfast, the butler warmly invited me to try the owner's generous lunch buffet for free. The river is right across the street, and it was quite quiet at night. When checking out, the butler kept mentioning the grand opening and how the lively atmosphere might be affecting my rest, but it wasn't too bad; I had a few drinks at a business dinner and slept quite well afterward. Highly recommended."
