"The hotel's็กฌไปถ facilities are genuinely impressive. The lobby is opulent and incredibly luxurious, and the rooms are well-equipped. However, the soft services are truly disappointing. From check-in at the front desk to breakfast, the service attitude wasn't even polite. My family of three arrived for breakfast just 5 minutes before closing, and the front desk insisted we pay immediately before entering. Couldn't they just charge it to the room card, or let us sit down and pay a little later? Also, they strictly ration Nongfu Spring water in the rooms, providing only two bottles per day. If you want more, you get a different brand of bottled water. Is this really the service for a 1.5k room? I had already chosen to extend my stay in the same room at 11 PM on the day of check-in, yet no one contacted me about renewing the room card until 6:27 PM the next day. Good service should be seamless and unobtrusive, but every little thing here made us uncomfortable. I hope the experience improves if I have a chance to visit again."

"The location is fantastic! It's right across from Jinlong Plaza, which was super convenient for dining and shopping. Plus, it's very close to the Summer Resort. However, the room itself was definitely nothing special. The bathroom had a strong drain smell, and the room felt quite damp. On the bright side, the front desk service was excellent. During my 3-night stay, I managed to visit the Summer Resort, the museum, Mini Potala Palace, Hammer Peak, and Jinshanling Great Wall. Overall, despite the room issues, I had a very good experience."

From the window, I could enjoy the night view of Chengde, and during the day, a river view. They provided complimentary welcome snacks and hot spring tickets. The staff were always smiling and very courteous. Every time I visit Chengde, I choose to stay at this hotel. "I booked this guesthouse with a 'let's see' attitude. It was pouring rain on the way there, and I almost turned back, but when I arrived, I was incredibly impressed!
I brought my own stove to barbecue in the yard, and the guesthouse owner (brother) was super patient, helping us prepare everything, even starting the fire and teaching us some tricks. He was also mindful not to disturb us, leaving after he showed us what to do โ truly enthusiastic and nice!
Also, the guesthouse owner (sister) was fantastic. The next morning, she made us a huge breakfast spread. There was so much food that the two of us were stuffed, only managing to finish two plates.
The timing of our visit was perfect. There were very few people in the courtyard, almost like having the whole place to ourselves, which made for an amazing experience! The weather was also very comfortable, neither too hot nor too cold, and walking along the path was incredibly refreshing.
I'm planning to go back next time with friends and my dog, and also try the whole roasted lamb that was featured on CCTV2! ๐"

"This Chengde trip to the Huanyu Holiday Hotel was a great experience: the hotel is close to the Wulie River and a 15-minute walk from the main entrance of the Mountain Resort. It is very convenient to travel. The front desk intimately upgraded the river view bed room for us, and the elderly and children had a good rest. I took my parents to Jinshanling for a three-day, two-night off-peak getaway.
**Environment:** The hotel's location is excellent. Right outside, you'll find restaurants and a bakery, and just a short walk away is a large lawn. The interior environment is simple and quiet.
**Service:** What's truly commendable is that I added Si Han from the front desk on WeChat during check-in. She was very gentle and polite in person, and always resolved all our issues promptly. Because I was with my parents, she often anticipated our needs. The next time I go to Jinshanling, I'll definitely look for her again.
**Private Hot Spring Experience (2 hours):** We used the private hot spring for two consecutive days. It's indeed much smaller than the one at Wulingshan, and the tea and snacks provided weren't as refined. However, the excellent service made up for it.

The room is quite big and relatively new, but the maintenance is average, the hygiene is not meticulous, and the carpet is dirty. The room was fully booked on the day of check-in, and there were two weddings the next day, so the service was not up to par. There was really nothing to eat for breakfast, and the taste was not good. Children over one meter tall were charged.

Guest UserThe hotel has complete supporting facilities, including fitness, swimming, sauna, and karaoke. The room is clean and sanitary. As soon as you open the door, you will feel the Instagram style. The big bed is super spacious, and it is stress-free for two adults and two children to take a nap. Unexpectedly, there are also Lego toys and a small tent! The baby is having fun and the mother is relieved! In addition, I highly recommend their 5-story barbecue shop! I haven't even found such delicious and authentic barbecue in Beijing! The taste is amazing! There are no blind spots! The picky kids who are used to staying in various 5-star hotels said they haven't stayed here enough! On the way home, they were still discussing what to play next time haha! Conscience evaluation, it is definitely No. 1 in Kuancheng.

The hotel's location is pretty good, and the surroundings are very quiet. It's only about a 19-minute drive to Jinshanling Great Wall. However, the Jinshanling exit on the G45 Beijing-Chengde Expressway is closed, so you have to take a detour.
When there are fewer guests, breakfast is served individually with generous portions. When it's busy, they open a buffet with a wider variety of options.
The room was spacious, great for families. But there were a lot of ladybugs (or 'stink bugs' as some call them) that somehow got into the room; we had to clear them out as soon as we checked in.
The bathroom drain was clogged, so the facilities definitely need some maintenance. It's probably okay for a 1-2 night stay.
