Sapporo Hotels with Pools

"My stay at Jozankei View Hotel was fantastic. The hotel has a very tranquil atmosphere, perfect for a hot spring resort. The dinner quality was a pleasant surprise; the sashimi and sweet shrimp were incredibly fresh, and the beef was delicious. For breakfast, the seafood donburi was also amazing and very satisfying. The onsen facilities were spacious and comfortable, making for a truly relaxing soak. Overall, the service, food, and environment were excellent. It was a very satisfying hot spring hotel experience and definitely worth recommending."

"Overall, I was very satisfied. I felt safe and relaxed throughout my stay. The service was excellent across the board, truly worth the price. The room was new and very clean, and the room service was both delicious and reasonably priced. The soundproofing was excellent, allowing me to sleep very soundly. The location is convenient; it's a three-minute walk from Nakajima-koen Station's Exit 1 on the Namboku subway line. Susukino is a ten-minute walk away, and Odori is fifteen minutes. Of course, there are always taxis available right outside if you prefer not to walk. The window view was beautiful. However, in mid-to-late April, many scenic spots and attractions in Sapporo and Hokkaido haven't yet reached their peak (e.g., the cherry blossoms hadn't bloomed). If your primary purpose is sightseeing, you might consider visiting at a more opportune time."

"Although it's an adult hotel, I felt very comfortable and at ease because I saw several groups of female guests at the front desk having 'girls' nights out'. The hotel's location was also a plus, being an almost straight shot from the nearest station, which made it easy to find."

"Twin room is already quite spacious, though the front desk also offered us a bigger room for a reasonable fee. Room is bright and clean. Plenty of electric sockets. Good Wi-Fi. Comfortable beds. High stool inside the bathroom is helpful for my elderly mum. Lobby is huge. Hot spring at times could be crowded, due to the huge size of the hotel, thus a lot of guests staying. Great breakfast, with so many dishes. Utilized its pool as well, entering the pool is confusing, need to enter via its bathroom with the key card, and I don't understand why there must be a guy sitting at the edge of the pool at all time, watching over the guests. Free parking, but it gets full during the night."

"Bed is rock hard. After 4 nights, I have serious back ache, plus I'm lacking in sleep, due to how hard and uncomfortable the bed was. The pool facility wasn't fully open (it only does so in August). The last week in July at least opens the some of the outside area for use, but it doesn't fully open until August. They'd also made the 25m outside pool a wipeout/ninja obstacle course so, if you want to actually swim [do some lengths etc] then the only place you can do this was initially only open in August and even then it is now taken over by an obstacle. The indoor sections are open all year round. You have to pay extra to access the slides - not too crazy at 500 or 600yen depending on the day for unlimited access (you're given a wristband). Breakfast was ok. Wide variety of foods - some of which I wouldn't normally associate with breakfast, but still nice to have choices. Signage claims it gets busy after 8am. This is definitely not true - it's busy when it first opens at 7am and then slowly gets quieter over the 7~10 opening times (last entry at 9:30). Can't speak about weekends tho. Shuttle bus is busiest at the 5pm time slot. Overall, a ”resort” that claims to be 4 stars it most certainly isn't. 2 stars yes. 2.5 maybe. But the whole place just feels quite dated and far from the luxury expected from a ”4 star hotel”. Apart from the bed as I've already mentioned, the room was a good enough size but all the decor and controls were old. The Aircon control was worn and glitchy (button presses would turn it off etc) but at least it worked and made the room the temp we wanted. The lighting panel has had so many changes there are stickers on it to blank out buttons which no longer function - fair enough, but maybe spend a bit of money on a decent upgrade??? This hotel isn't cheap!"

"Jozankei Manseikaku has so much delicious food! The scenery is beautiful too! It's super convenient, only about a 30-40 minute drive to Sapporo Art Park and Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort respectively."

"Stayed for five consecutive days, the hotel looks old, the door is opened with a key, it has a sense of age. The hotel has all the necessary facilities. The room is big. The hotel staff's English is not very good. It is recommended to use a translator to communicate more. The breakfast is OK, I recommend ordering Western food, and you can drink as much as you want, including coffee, tea, juice, etc."
