"The hotel is quite new and conveniently located right next to the JR station, with plenty of dining and shopping options connected within the station. The breakfast spread was generous. The room was a bit small, but that's typical for Japanese hotels. The onsen (hot spring) is tiny but clean and hygienic. A tip for fellow travelers: if you plan to use the onsen, please respect local customs. Make sure to wash yourself thoroughly from head to toe before entering the bath. I saw some fellow countrymen being corrected. Respecting others is respecting yourself!"

"This hotel is perfect if you don't want to walk far from Sapporo station and you need to leave early for the airport. Just a few minutes beside Stellar Place mall. Check in is strict as with all hotels in Japan at 3pm. The best part is the view. I got the room at level 34 facing north side of Sapporo and it was breathtaking. I booked 2 rooms and the staff was kind enough to accomodate my request for the rooms to be nearby. We got rooms next to each other. It was initially full booked and once I saw rooms available at the last minute, I took it. No regrets. The rooms are spacious too. Amenities are complete with both body and skincare products too. Breakfast was add on and we chose western cuisine. There were varieties but not that amazing. But the 360 view at the 35th floor restaurant is worth checking out."

"How should I put this? The room felt quite old, but the cleanliness inside was decent. It just felt very small and dated, and the two beds were also small, though they could be pushed together, which was a plus. As for hotel service, there wasn't really anyone around in the lobby or anywhere else, so I didn't experience much service. I saw some reviews claiming Daimaru Department Store was right across the street, but that's incorrect. The Tokyu Department Store is nearby, while Daimaru is over by Sapporo Station. Tokyu 10 has dining options, and there are also many places to eat on the 6th floor near Sapporo Station. Besides the small room, everything else was actually pretty good. The pictures are of the hotel's surroundings and the view from the window."

"The accommodation is not far from the train station, and the garden view is absolutely beautiful and very impressive. The room is very spacious and extremely clean. The staff are very kind and friendly. From the accommodation, it’s easy to walk to the tourist areas, and even Sapporo is not far on foot. Transportation is very convenient, the view is great, and there are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The surrounding atmosphere is peaceful and truly relaxing."

"The hotel's location is fantastic, right near the JR station. There's an observation deck and a hot spring bath on the top floor. The view from the observation deck is the same as the JR observation deck, and I highly recommend checking it out during the day. Also, be aware that both the observation deck and hot spring bath are closed in the mornings."

"Very lovely hotel with extremely helpful front desk staff who spoke good English.
The location is really convenient smack right in between Otaru JR station and Otaru Canal and less than 15 mins walk to Sakaimaichi Shopping Street.
The room is big in Japanese terms. No issue for those travelling with 2 x 30 inch lugguage. We had twin bed room which comes with a large sofa lounge enough for 1 person to sleep.
We had dinner at the 11th Floor Casa Blanca. Wonderful dinner for 3 with wines, whisky and highballs. Exceptional night view of snow capped city buildings. All at an very surprising bill of ¥25,000 for a fine dinning restaurant.
I will not hesitate to recommend this excellent hotel.
Will definitely be back for my next visit to Otaru in Authum."

"Who would've thought our last night in Hokkaido, at an airport hotel, would be the best night? The room was huge with a direct view of the planes from the window. All the snacks and drinks in the room were complimentary. There's a hot spring and the facilities are very modern. Breakfast at the hotel costs extra, and the food selection wasn't as extensive as I expected. "Stayed here for 3 nights and overall had a really positive experience.
The location is super convenient, about a 5-minute walk to both the train station and MTR, which made getting around effortless. There are plenty of convenience stores right nearby.
The hotel has a nice quiet vibe, which was perfect after busy days out exploring. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The room itself was a standout, surprisingly big and spacious by Japanese standards. It was spotlessly clean and tidy, and there was still plenty of floor space even after we opened two large suitcases (something that’s almost impossible in most other compact hotels in Japan).
The only downside was the bedding. The duvet (?) was way too thick and heavy for my liking. It made the bed feel quite hot at night, and I ended up sweating a lot despite the AC.
Otherwise, this place was near perfect. Would definitely recommend it to others, especially if you’re okay with cranking the AC lower. Solid choice!"

"An absolutely perfect experience! This hotel, built in 1934, is nearly a century old and exudes a profound sense of history with its distinctive Japanese-Western old money charm. The lobby and public areas are understated yet sophisticated, with exquisite attention to detail. The room was impeccably maintained and felt brand new, not at all dated. Even the bathroom facilities, like the drainage and ventilation, were modern and completely odor-free. The service throughout our stay was exceptional, showcasing traditional Japanese hospitality at every turn. We were incredibly lucky to be assigned a large Hollywood Twin room in the East Wing – a spacious 40 square meters, easily accommodating two 28-inch suitcases and two snowboards with plenty of room to spare. A delightful surprise at night was catching a glimpse of Sapporo Tower from our window. The twinkling tower lights paired with falling snowflakes created a truly romantic scene. The breakfast was excellent, easily on par with some of the best hotel breakfasts in Hokkaido, offering everything you could want. A special shout-out to the apple pie for dessert – it was absolutely delicious! Thank you for taking such good care of us during our stay. We hope to visit again someday!"

"Great location. Close to everything. Rooms are spacious relatively. We stayed at a deluxe room with view of the street. Very friendly crew! Only big big issue is the WiFi connectivity. It’s super super slow. You can’t even play a YouTube clip without pausing every few minutes. It’s is really horrible. Hope the hotel will fix this ! Otherwise it is a perfect hotel for the price it charges for casual travellers."

MMajieMJThis Sapporo hotel really exceeded my expectations for Japanese hotels! I was very satisfied with the decor, service, room size, and dining. When I booked a long time ago, I couldn't get the room type I wanted for five days straight, so I had to split my reservations across different periods and room types. However, upon arrival, the hotel graciously upgraded me for free to a deluxe standard room, matching my original request! There was a small oversight where my room cleaning was missed, but the hotel's sincere handwritten apology card and complimentary sweets showed their genuine care for guests and their proactive approach to resolving issues. If I visit Sapporo again, I will definitely choose this warm and welcoming hotel. I also appreciate Trip.com's prompt handling of the price difference refund, as my early booking price was significantly different from the price just before my trip.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very centrally located, close to a lot of restaurants and shops. It's sitting on top of a mall with a cinema, and the subway station is at the basement.
The breakfast had a lot of choices, though some of them repeated every day I was there. I loved the chef's kitchen station, where different dishes were cooked to order.
The only thing is, I kept hearing (ambulance?) sirens in the middle of the night, probably because it's such a busy area

JjaneshiluI booked this hotel three months in advance. Taking the bus from Sapporo directly to Shiraishi Waterfall Station was much more convenient than taking the subway and then finding a shuttle. The hotel was meticulously cleaned, and we waited until 3:30 PM for check-in. The buffet dinner was good, but the breakfast wasn't as lavish as at The Windsor Hotel Toya. We caught a heavy snowfall, and soaking in the outdoor onsen was amazing. There was a harp performance, and the surrounding area was also nice to explore.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right across from Nakajima Park, making it super convenient for playing in the snow! The facilities are quite new, but the room was a bit small. We booked a deluxe room, but the view wasn't great – it faced inwards. I wonder if it's because we checked in late, so we were given a less desirable orientation. The breakfast was also good; the ramen was delicious, and they even offered free breakfast for our 6-year-old son. Overall, it's great value for money, and we'd definitely stay here again.

AAnonymous UserLocation: If you couldn't book the hotel's free shuttle or the Kappa Liner bus, you can take rapid bus #7 or #8 from Sapporo city center to Daiichi Hotel Mae, and the hotel is right there. There's also a bus to Sapporo Ski Resort that stops at the same platform.
Room Amenities: The room was clean, tidy, and very spacious, and it even had its own private hot spring bath.
I booked a package that included breakfast and dinner. The food was just okay, but there was a self-service bar and some snacks.

WWingStefanieThe room was tiny. After barely managing to open two large suitcases, my kid had to jump over the beds just to move around. Check-in was self-service, so I can't really comment on the staff's service. I'd recommend skipping the breakfast here; there are plenty of cafes nearby, three within a two to three-minute walk. The hotel's breakfast wasn't great, we tried it once and gave up. You can see the TV Tower right from the window, there's a subway station downstairs, and convenience stores are a three to five-minute walk away. Next door is a bakery with pretty good bread. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Sapporo JR station, which makes it convenient for shopping. Overall, the value for money was just okay.

Just one thing feeling weird is the tv setup in the corner room,it seems like unable to adjust or move around which seems useless to have a TV.
And lower floor corner room that’s more expensive than the twin room doesn’t make too much senses too.
Generally nothing about the staff but with price decisions could be more considerate.

It's full of Japanese charm, with an outdoor real hot spring bath… Aside from the slightly dated facilities, it's impeccable! 🎀 On the day of check-in, the only English-speaking bartender in the entire hotel came out to help, providing detailed explanations of the hotel's features – very stylish! 👍 The room is huge, with a bathroom right next to the entrance and a full cypress wood bathtub; the outdoor natural spring is also made of cypress wood. 👀 Even on a summer night without snow, it was still very chill. 🦋 They even gave us two sets of designer toiletries…so thoughtful! 🥰 The kaiseki dinner cost at least a third of the room rate! ✌️ The kaiseki meal was presented in a clear progression from light to dark, from appetizers to sashimi, Wagyu beef…and finished with dessert. 💕 The arrangements were impeccable, each dish had its own distinct flavor; the chef is truly skilled! 👍 The breakfast the next day was a bit bland… Compared to Santei, this club is less crowded, more expensive, and has luxurious decor in the public areas and comfortable private onsen. Santei's public areas are more basic, but the private onsen in the room, although smaller, is entirely made of cypress wood and offers a better view. 💕 The kaiseki cuisine seems about the same? The price for a one-night stay with two meals is significantly lower…

SsweetknellneuFrom the moment you're greeted, to the front desk, and the overall architecture, everything exudes a sense of grandeur and luxury. It feels very upscale. The facilities are what you'd expect from a well-established star-rated hotel, and the location is absolutely prime, making it convenient to get anywhere. The night view from the upper floors is particularly beautiful. You can pretty much book this place without a second thought. Once again, I applaud my hotel-picking skills!

GGuest UserI had a great time staying here alone. There are restaurants downstairs, making it easy to find food. The bed was comfortable and all the amenities were provided. I loved it.
Normally, when I stay at other hostels, they don't provide towels or other amenities, but this place had everything. The location is great; it's just a short walk from Sapporo train station. I'll definitely stay here again next time. I loved it!
