"Nice little onsen hotel in Jonzankei that prioritizes food as their theme. Our stay included set dinner and breakfast which were really good. The lounge was also always stocked with food and drinks so you’d never go hungry. The common onsen in the hotel was slightly small, outdoor onsen didn’t have much of a view but the hotel booking allows access to other onsen hotels within the same chain, though on a first come first serve basis."

"Facilities: It's a very old hotel, but fairly well-maintained. Hygiene: Generally average. Environment: Excellent location, right across from the canal. It's an easy downhill walk from the train station if you have luggage. The reverse is quite strenuous. A taxi ride is just the minimum fare (700). Service: The breakfast is plentiful and seafood-friendly."

"The location is great, right next to Tanukikoji, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Don Quijote. Facilities: There's a hot spring, but I didn't get a chance to use it. There's also a self-service laundry, but it only accepts coins, no electronic payments. Cleanliness: It was very clean and tidy; I had a comfortable stay. Service: We arrived at the hotel at 2 PM and were told we could store our luggage first, but check-in wasn't until after 3 PM. We dropped off our bags and went out to explore. We came back after dinner to pick up our room key."

"1. Hotel is 8mins walk from Otaru train stn/ bus stn. 2. Surrounded with many restaurants and walking distance to Sankaku market, Otaru canal as well as Sakaimachi Hondori street. 3. Room size was just nice, and bed were comfortable 4. Free coffee and biscuits provided from 7am-6pm. 5. For the breakfast you can choose between Japanese or Western breakfast. 6. No self service laundry facility on-site. Overall we had a pleasant stay."

"We had a very pleasant stay here. The hotel is conveniently located next to the main train station, making it easy to travel in and out of the city. The property is clean, modern, and welcoming. The room is compact, as expected, but it was well designed and fit one large and one medium-sized suitcase. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There’s also a public bath, which was a nice way to unwind after a day of exploring, although it can get quite busy during peak hours. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and we slept well throughout our stay. The only drawback is that the hotel isn’t within walking distance of most of the city’s main attractions, so you’ll likely need to take public transport."

"This hostel has a great location. Hokkaido University, with its excellent museum, is just a short walk north – I'd highly recommend checking it out. However, the room I stayed in had 20 beds on one floor, so if you're a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, you might want to look elsewhere. It's really more suited as a cheap, temporary place to crash."

"They say a skinny camel is still bigger than a horse! The Park Hotel is supposedly being torn down and rebuilt next year because it's quite old and worn out. However, this doesn't detract from its grandeur or excellent location. The hotel is superbly situated within Nakajima Park, surrounded by lush greenery, and boasts a magnificent and grand main entrance. The lobby is incredibly spacious and luxurious. There are many staff members, all smiling and politely greeting guests, always ready to offer a helping hand when needed. We stayed on the fifth floor. The elevators are very fast, and we rarely had to wait. It's about a ten-minute walk to Tanukikoji, Susukino, and Odori Park, which is very convenient. The room size was normal. The facilities were indeed a bit dated, but the cleanliness was excellent, and the service was prompt and orderly. It didn't affect our stay experience at all. It's a shame that we're witnessing the closing of what must have once been a magnificent grand hotel. But we hope that a brand new, luxurious hotel will rise in its place in the future! I intentionally didn't book breakfast when making the reservation. The outdoor parking lot outside the main entrance is quite spacious and easy to park in. However, the fee isn't cheap; we paid 2500 for the first night and 2000 for the second. You get a parking ticket upon entry and need to have it stamped at the front desk when leaving. Then, you show it to the parking attendant. We settled the total of 4500 with the attendant after two days. It's convenient, but a bit pricey."
