"This was the biggest room we stayed in during our Hokkaido trip. The interior has a charming retro feel, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. From the window, we enjoyed breathtaking 'blue hour' views. Right downstairs, there's a bus stop that takes you to most of Sapporo's popular attractions. The view outside the hotel, especially with the snow, was unexpectedly beautiful. Plus, there's a large Lawson convenience store right across the street, which was super convenient for late-night snacks or breakfast. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and even gave us tips on fun activities for the Snow Festival."

"The hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Sapporo Station, which is directly connected to the airport via the JR Airport Express. Don't listen to previous reviews suggesting you head towards Daimaru department store. Instead, follow my photos to easily find the hotel. You won't even need to cross the street. Just locate the Namboku Line subway, then find Exit 9 through the side passages. When I visited in February, there was a Descente store next to the hotel's elevator. The front desk is on the 10th floor. Breakfast was good, and the hot springs were very relaxing. Most importantly, the hotel is new. Our triple room included executive lounge access, offering red and white wine, coffee, and four snacks including Jagabee (Jaga Pokkuru). We had a very comfortable stay. Housekeeping is done by 3 PM at the latest. Hokkaido University is a 20-minute walk, Mitsukoshi is also 20 minutes on foot, and the Factory Outlet is a 15-minute walk. We walked everywhere from the hotel."

Arriving in Sapporo on a day with light snowfall, the ground was slippery. With pedestrians and vehicles constantly passing, the streets and roadsides were covered in dark, dirty ice and slush. The thick, pristine snow I'd seen in other cities was quite a mess here...
The ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel is about a 10-minute walk from JR Sapporo Station. The front desk is on the 2nd floor, and the hotel looks quite grand. They only provide toothbrushes and toothpaste as disposable amenities; if you want cotton swabs or makeup remover pads, you have to specifically ask the front desk, and even then, they're stingy, only giving one set. So much for being economical...
The room was clean and tidy. Although it was small and lacked a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, and the bathroom itself felt a bit old-fashioned, it was still generally simple and comfortable.
Exiting the hotel, subway exit 21 is immediately to the left. There's also a Seicomart convenience store right below the hotel.
The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to walk to various places like Daimaru and Stellar Place at JR Station, or Tanukikoji, Mitsukoshi, PARCO, and Sapporo Factory. The location is quite good overall."

"The hotel in very good location but rooms is extremely small , barely has space to open the luggage on the floor , room size is only 18 SQM , they never publish the room size on the room details , photos on the listing is misleading as it show the rooms is big but actually its extremely small , Toilet is miserable small and has 40 CM step to climb , if you have senior person be ready to assist every time that person need to go to toilet.
Breakfast , i tried once and never repeated as it doesn't worth it .
Im frequent traveller and i don't normally write reviews but for this hotel i have to write to be sure no one got the same disappointment i got when i saw the room .

"My first trip to Sapporo was made truly amazing by staying at this hotel. The location is flawless—easily accessible from Exit 8 or 10 of the Sapporo Underground Walkway, which connects directly to the Namboku Line Sapporo Station. This makes commuting effortless even during rainy or snowy weather.
The hotel’s exterior and lobby are elegantly designed, but the most captivating feature is its view—it directly faces the ”Former Hokkaido Government Office,” and the scenery is as picturesque as a painting. The room was incredibly spacious; even with three large suitcases fully opened, there was still plenty of room to move around comfortably.
As for the facilities and dining: the breakfast on the 2nd floor offers a lavish spread of seafood delicacies full of Hokkaido’s local flavors. "It was pretty good. The view from the 24th floor was excellent, and the public bath was larger than the Dormy Inn I stayed at before. The triple room was also very nice. Although the 0.9-meter-wide bed was a bit narrow for my 14-year-old, he didn't mind, and I prefer us all sleeping together, as it helps us bond more with him. The only hassle was the air conditioning was too hot; I suggest they not turn it off completely but instead set it to the lowest temperature of 18 degrees."

"Good hotel which located near the Sapporo station. I stayed there for 6D5N and it was snowing for a couple of days. So staying near the subway and APIA was important to us. There’s a public Onsen bath and open lounge for guests so it was good. A couple of downside was that there was some smell in the washroom, not sure if from the gutter or bathtub. And another thing was that the bedsheet was a bit uncomfortable compared to other Keio hotel. All in all a decent hotel for any tourists that wanted to stayed in central Sapporo area."

"Good location, 10mins walk to shopping district, easily access to places. There’s a train station exit in front of hotel as well.
Room size pretty small, have to keep luggage under bed, there’s hot bath in the hotel roof, able to enjoy soaking in hot bath under cold weather, but you have to bring your own towel from the room. Try to avoid peak hour, I went at 6+7 is quite empty, however after dinner time 9+10 is very crowded.
Breakfast is not as good as the photos shown in hotel website, but still have good varieties to choose from.
Able to rent different kind of facilities, eg air humidifier, hair curler etc"

RRukawa1111The 39 sqm room with two queen-sized beds was perfect for our family of three. The facilities felt high-quality, but it's a shame the minibar was so small and there were no complimentary or even paid drinks in the fridge. The breakfast buffet restaurant was beautiful, and over our two-day stay, some main dishes were rotated. They even had soup curry and gluten-free bread, which was a first for me and a very thoughtful touch. Fresh mozzarella and homemade herb butter were also available. However, it was surprising that the restaurant didn't serve lunch or dinner; only the ground-floor lounge offered some simple meals. The hotel's facilities were also a bit limited, with no pool, hot spring, spa, or business center, just a small gym on the ground floor. Most of the guests seemed to be Westerners, suggesting it's primarily a leisure-focused resort.

LLost1881This hotel boasts an excellent location, situated above Cocono with a mall and cinema downstairs. It's seamlessly connected to Susukino subway station underground. I took the airport bus from New Chitose to Minami 3-jo, and it was just a 5-minute walk to the hotel. Sapporo isn't very big, so most places are only one or two stops away by subway, or even walkable if you're up for it. Dining and shopping options are very convenient; Tanukikoji is close by, and there's a *** (likely referring to a convenience store or similar, but kept as is since it's unclear) not far downstairs. When leaving, the airport bus stop is just across the street, a 2-minute walk, making trips to the airport super convenient. The breakfast buffet is also very rich, with main dishes rotated daily, including roast meat bowls, Wagyu beef bowls, and seafood bowls. I booked a larger twin room, and it was indeed more spacious than typical rooms, with enough space to open luggage. This will definitely be my top choice for future visits to Sapporo.

GGuest UserPretty good! It's really close to the subway station, and we had a great view of Nakajima Park's snowy scenery from our window. The triple room was also very spacious, offering excellent value for money. There was a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk, so communication was a breeze. Plus, the lobby connects directly to a Lawson convenience store, which was incredibly convenient!

I enjoyed the stay throughly especially the onsen facility. I will definitely come back again!

AAnonymous UserInitially very disappointed with the Japanese counter staff in hotel when we checked in. She insisted that we needed 2 rooms instead of 1, and quoted an exorbitant rate for the 2nd room for 1 guest. We could have booked another 2 rooms with that kind of rate. We were feeling really hopeless with the situation, and tried to seek help from another Japanese staff at nearby counter who could speak fluent English, unlike the 1st lady who was serving us. But she rejected, and told us that she didn't understand our situation and couldn't help, before we could tell her our story.
Luckily for us, the Japanese lady who served us called for her manager, a friendly ********* guy who helped us through the entire checkin process. We didn't need another room after all. Whew! Kudos to the manager for his very kind help, despite that it was his dinner break. Many thanks!

CCindy1274I stayed at Sapporo Hotel by Grandbell for four nights and had a lovely overall experience. The hotel is quite new, and the view from the room was beautiful, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
One of my favorite parts was the onsen — they have several different baths to choose from, and it was a great way to relax after a long day out in the cold.
The convenience is also a plus, with both FamilyMart and Lawson located just downstairs.
The only downside is that the hotel is not very close to the JR station. It’s still walkable, but can feel a bit far, especially in winter. One night, I had trouble finding the correct exit at the station and ended up walking quite a long distance to get back to the hotel.
Overall, I would still recommend this hotel for its comfort, facilities, and relaxing atmosphere — just be prepared for a bit of walking.

FFang1381997This hotel seems quite popular with Chinese tourists. Sitting in the lobby, I almost felt like I was back home, it was so noisy – probably all tour groups. The room was really small, and the heating was turned up way too high. The facilities are a bit old-fashioned. The window was surprisingly large, which is rare for Japan. Breakfast didn't offer much variety and the taste was just so-so. Overall, it was an average experience.

GGuest UserI had to go to a conference, but I wanted to make some fun memories for my kids, so I stayed here with them, as it has a pool. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Two of the water slides were closed, so it seems they're only open every day on weekends this month. Even without them, we were able to play in the pool until 9:00 PM and then relax in the hot springs.
