"We arrived at 6:30, the digital lock is not working and apparently the battery was dead. We called the customer service and they insisted that we don’t know how to activate the lock with a very bad attitude. They came around 7:00 and at 7:30 they finally fixed the lock and the whole experience was so disappointing that we have to be stranded out in the cold for an hour. Service was totally unacceptable and there is a few lights that doesn’t work in the apartment as well."

"This hotel is located right in Vik, directly across from a supermarket and a large Icewear store – even bigger than the one in Reykjavik, making it great for browsing. It's within walking distance of Vik Church, and the hotel offers an aurora wake-up service. The hotel itself is relatively new, with large floor-to-ceiling windows in both the rooms and the restaurant, offering excellent views. However, the breakfast is just average. Ground floor rooms have direct access to the outside via their large windows. The room's environment and cleanliness are both good."

"Great hotel! We arrived late, but the front desk was open for check-in. Self-checkout was convenient, and there's free parking right outside, which is super handy for drivers. It's very close to Black Sand Beach and Red House, with a supermarket and restaurants directly opposite. Highly recommend!"

"Stayed one night at Hotel Vik on a recent trip to Iceland. The people at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is pretty and clean and a great choice if you are heading out to Vik or the surrounding area. The room was very spacious with huge windows that I loved. Everything was great but would have liked a door on the shower. Wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the lounging areas. Would definitely recommend and would stay again."
