"Terrible service and staff. Rooms need an upgrade as well as clenliness and upgrade of facilities"

"Exquisite location with such friendly staff that stand at the ready to help and cater to every whim. Booking a regular room is recommended as the larger room has a door which borders the main guest area. As such, it is extremely noisy. This room also looks out on the main patio with no inner curtains with the result that there’s no privacy. A regular room offers the same level of comfort, but with added privacy on the deck area and its further away from the main guest area which offers peace and quiet. All rooms look out onto a beautiful valley with proverbial four poster beds shaped as elephant tusks. The only negative were the old, lumpy pillows, which need urgent replacement. The chef cooks traditional African meals which were delicious, but for this type of venue, needs perhaps a bit more finesse in terms of having better options for a continental breakfast and enquiring with guests as to how they would prefer their meat cooked beforehand. A word of warning to coffee lovers, there’s only instant coffee, so better go and enjoy the hospitality armed with your own!"

"We recently visited Klein Kariba for the fourth time, and once again it exceeded our expectations. It is, without a doubt, one of the best resorts in South Africa. Although it is on the pricier side, you truly get excellent value for your money. There is so much to do for the whole family, making it a fantastic destination throughout the year. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always willing to assist. A special mention goes to the Entertainment Manager, who is an absolute champion! Their enthusiasm and dedication made the experience even more enjoyable for both children and adults. The facilities are outstanding, well-maintained, and cater to every age group. "Our stay was just OK... Apart from having a squirrel finding a whole in the grass roof and running up and down in the lodge scaring my toddlers. The place is very quiet and lovely. I just wished they had more activities for the kids. Esp for the colder season. The pool, volleyball net and a swing is the only activities. A games room would have been nice. But all in all... Not too bad. In a few years time with all the upgrades it will be the place to be. "
