Hotels in Qinghai Tibetan Culture Museum/Wanda Plaza, Xining

Regarding the extended stay, I'll just briefly add to this review since I already covered it in my previous post. The room was quite spacious, with a convenience store and late-night snacks downstairs. It's right next to Beichuan Wanda Plaza, making it convenient to buy things. The room was cleaned quite well, but there was no air conditioning, and the hairdryer was too weak and kept malfunctioning. The room key needed to be refreshed at the front desk every day, which was too troublesome, especially for guests staying for several days. After all, the hotel front desk isn't on the first floor and isn't visible upon entering; I had to go to the 43rd floor first to get to my room's floor. The front desk service was quite good, so overall it was acceptable.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel entrance was under renovation, front desk staff came to the parking lot to escort us to the lobby. The rooms initially made a good impression, but issues quickly emerged during our stay. We had booked two rooms. In the first room, the faucet pipe detached as soon as we turned on the water. In the second room, after a shower, the bathroom drain clogged, and water overflowed into the main room, flooding it. While the hotel appeared to have good facilities, it seems there were significant problems with the renovation quality. The staff were also visibly struggling, as they were constantly called upon to make repairs.

My overall stay was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. The hotel's decor is simple yet elegant, and the common areas are clean and tidy, making a great first impression. The room was larger than expected, with a sensible layout and well-maintained, complete facilities. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi were both very stable. The bed was just the right firmness, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. The cleanliness was exceptional; even the corners were dust-free, which put me completely at ease. The service was also very thoughtful, with prompt responses to requests and a gentle, patient attitude. The location is excellent, making travel convenient, and the surrounding amenities are comprehensive. The price was reasonable and offered great value for money. It was a very satisfying accommodation experience, and I highly recommend it.

The stay experience was super satisfactory and the hotel service was the biggest highlight. The front desk check-in was efficient and welcoming, and the surrounding play and dining places were intimately informed; the room attendant cleaned meticulously and responded quickly with needs. The details are warm everywhere. The room is clean and tidy, and the environment is quiet and comfortable. The staff is gentle and polite, the whole process is intimate and thoughtful, the price is very high, I will choose this next time I travel, highly recommended!

The room was pretty good, but it seemed like a lot of tour groups checked in very late at night, making it incredibly noisy. The laundry room experience was also very poor; there was only one washing machine, which was nowhere near enough, and no one assigned to assist with laundry. Plus, the phone in my room was broken – completely unresponsive. I wanted to ask for something late at night but didn't want to go downstairs, so I just gave up. However, the breakfast was quite abundant, and the restaurant area was spacious.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, with easy access to shopping and dining. It's right next to a Wanda Plaza. The rooms and facilities are new, clean, and hygienic. It's especially quiet at night, allowing for a good night's sleep, so I, who have trouble sleeping, decided to extend my stay. Parking is on the street downstairs, and because we arrived late and couldn't find a spot, the owner came down twice to help, moving his own car for us. The owner and front desk staff were very kind. 👍 There's also a large convenience store on the first floor with a full range of daily necessities. The beef and lamb in Xining are amazing! Before leaving, we bought some, and the owner kindly froze it in the hotel's freezer for us to take home the next day. We were very grateful. Speaking of food, there's a night market downstairs that stays open very late. We arrived late that day and ate there. We found a small shop called ”Harbin Mala Tang” and ordered clay pot rice noodles and Mala Tang, both of which were delicious and inexpensive. My daughter said it was better than Zhang Liang's. While eating, we heard a story: a delivery guy accidentally spilled some food while delivering to their shop, so he went back and bought a replacement to compensate the customer. The owner of this small mala tang (spicy hot pot) shop told the delivery driver, ”If this happens again, just tell me. I can forgo the money the shop makes, saving you a few yuan. You only earn so little in this sweltering heat...” Wishing this little shop booming business! I think Xining must be a warm city, where we encounter one heartwarming scene after another. This was just a brief stopover, but I'll definitely make a special trip back next time...

The room was well-maintained, and the front desk service was attentive. It's clear that the hotel's service standards are meticulously executed. The bedding material was new and pleasant, but the duvet was too thick. The air conditioning controls didn't work, causing me to wake up sweating numerous times throughout the night. Perhaps a lighter blanket would be more suitable for summer, rather than washing fewer sheets? It was a shame to have two nights of restless sleep due to the heat. Breakfast was simple with ordinary ingredients. On the first day, there was no butter or jam next to the toaster. On the second day, there was no salad dressing by the salad bar. The front desk staff were all excellent, even providing double portions of lotion. However, they offered to put a humidifier in my room in the evening, but it never appeared. I'm not sure if the housekeeping staff forgot or if there was another reason. Finally, I hope any self-driving guests who see this can buy some cat food for the adorable cats in the outdoor parking lot behind the hotel. The weather is so dry, and I'm worried they don't have enough water to drink. It's been on my mind; if I wasn't rushing off, I would have bought some cat food myself. Both little cats are so well-behaved! May good people live long and prosper!
