City Comfort Inn Hotel (Yining Airport Shanghai City)
9.4 (1,466 reviews)

City Comfort Inn Hotel (Yining Airport Shanghai City) ★★

📍 Tower A, Shanghai City Back Street, Jiefang West Road, near the gas station, Yining

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent—just a short walk from LiuXing Street, supermarkets, restaurants, and various shops. It's also conveniently located near the bus station, making it easy to visit places like Sayram Lake. The hotel kindly arranged a pick-up from the train station upon our arrival, which was very helpful. While there was no drop-off service available for our early departure, we understood that the shuttle service only starts operating from 9:00 a.m. Overall, it's a great place to stay, especially for travelers who value convenience and accessibility. Highly recommended!"

Yili Hotel

Yili Hotel ★★★★

📍 No. 8 Yingbin Road, Yining

"Our stay at Yining Yili Hotel was fantastic! The hotel, formerly a Russian consulate, boasts towering ancient trees and a tranquil lake, creating a natural oxygen bar. Strolling along the 1.3 km boardwalk, we even spotted little squirrels, which was incredibly soothing. We booked a multi-room suite in Building 6, which was spacious and comfortable – perfect for a family trip. The biggest surprise was finding a "Gulandam" ice cream shop right in the courtyard, letting us completely avoid the long queues at Liuxing Street! The staff were warm and friendly, and check-in was very efficient. Breakfast offered not only a Chinese buffet but also Kazakh specialty dishes. The hotel's location is superb, just a 10-minute walk to the Kazanqi Folk Tourism Area, and parking for self-drivers is also very convenient. Highly recommend!"

The room quality is excellent, and it's the standard of a star hotel. The experience is great! 👍 Most importantly, the hostess is kind and welcoming. She also recommends delicious food and fun things to do. This B&B is highly recommended."

Yili River Hotel ★★★★★

📍 No. 5188 Shanghai Road, Border Cooperation Zone, Yining

"The external environment is good and the facilities are complete. It should be noted that the executive standard room in Building 2 is on the 4th floor. There is always a continuous and high-frequency machine running sound in the room. I asked the room service and they said that because the 4th floor is the top floor, there are "machine parts" running on the top floor and they cannot be turned off, so this sound cannot be eliminated."

"Staying at Atour during my trip was a fantastic experience! The location is superb, within walking distance to all the scenic spots, saving us the hassle of commuting. The overall ambiance is simple and fresh, offering a peaceful retreat despite being in a bustling area. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bedding was soft and great for sleeping. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, including hot dishes, pastries, and fruits, all of which tasted excellent. The service was attentive and thoughtful. It's incredibly good value for money, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time!"

Yili Hotel ★★★★
"Yili Hotel is actually a formal reception venue primarily for business travelers and official guests. It's only open to regular tourists when there are no special events. The hotel has its own garden, and you can drive in directly without parking fees. Only at night will the gatekeeper need to confirm your entry. There are plenty of parking spaces inside. While it faces the common issue of hotels having aging facilities, Building 3, where our standard room was located, is generally quite new and appears to have been recently renovated. The breakfast area and suites are in the tall Building 2. The gym is in Building 6, with only a few treadmills and no dumbbells or other strength training equipment. Given the small space, that's probably all they could fit. There's also a supermarket, souvenir shop, and laundry room nearby. Breakfast offers a wide variety, though it wasn't entirely to my taste, and I don't recall seeing coffee. However, for tourists visiting Xinjiang, the exotic offerings are more than enough. The price for a standard room is only slightly higher than an all-season hotel in Yining, but the decor and amenities are significantly better. Overall, accommodation in Yining isn't cheap. My mother, who is in her sixties, was very happy staying here. She felt Yili Hotel was the best place she'd stayed in for days (though I personally prefer more modern and light-luxury style hotels)."

"The shower area and toilet weren't separated, so the toilet always got wet after every shower, which was quite inconvenient. The hairdryer was really poor quality. We lost our room key during our three-day stay and had to pay 50 yuan to replace it."

"The biggest perk of traveling in the off-season is definitely avoiding crowds! Our group of 6 had this entire guesthouse to ourselves, and the sunlight streaming into the rooms was just delightful. There are two super friendly and cuddly cats in the courtyard too, so adorable!"

Liuxing Street Linqishe Homestay ★★★
"This beautiful Uyghur courtyard perfectly fulfilled all my expectations for a grape arbor, a cool tatami resting area, and the 'Yili blue' aesthetic. The courtyard is located right in Six-Star Street, making it part of the scenery itself, with a great location and convenient parking. Chatting with the owner (the guesthouse proprietor), I learned about the romantic story behind the city's signature blue. My daughter even said this was her favorite part of our Xinjiang trip. The breakfast was also very unique, and our whole family thoroughly enjoyed it. The courtyard, rooms, and bedding were all very clean. Looking forward to our next visit!"
